Yes, it freezes the money tree in the harvest state. There is nothing to harvest, though, and the sim exits the queued interaction(harvest or tend garden, I believe).

I've stopped that particular jump bug with chicken0895's mod, but I still get another jump bug sometimes, when I use the mailbox.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EAxis gardening bug on: 2012 October 22, 00:30:05
This is an EA coding error that initiates when you have the Gatherer trait and money trees.

Chicken0895MoneyTree Bug Fix.package will fix it...join TFM's Naughty Sims Asylum to download it.

When that happened to me(again caused by moving a sim to another level with moveobjects), the fix was to use the Reset Sim command in Twallan's Master Controller(hard reset), because the resetsim [name] cheat didn't help.

Now I use teleport to move sims to a different elevation.

I'm building a world in CAW and want to base it loosely on Stephen King's "The Stand".
Unfortunately, Sims 3 doesn't have illness like Sims 2.

A mod that would cause the death of approximately 90% of the world population in 1 or 2 weeks and has random selection of victims(so every game has a different cast of final characters) would be ideal. On a side-note: In real life I'm a wonderful person and give money to stray cats.

I'm more a graphics guy than modder, so what I'd like to know first is if this is possible. If so, what level of complexity is involved? A core mod would be beyond my scope or desire.

Thanks...

Not a pay item, but still eluding me...Create a World Tool 1.13.3.
A link would be gratuitously received.

Edit...thanx morriganrant. EA codes their site about as well as it codes its game.

Here's my install order:

The Sims 3

The Sims 3 World Adventures

The Sims 3 High End Loft Stuff

The Sims 3 Ambitions

The Sims 3 Fast Lane Stuff

The Sims 3 Late Night

The Sims 3 Outdoor Living Stuff

The Sims 3 Generations

The Sims 3 Town Life Stuff

apply 1.24.3 patch & no-dvd crack

------------------------------------------

but yeah, like Naiad says, you only need to use a crack for the last add-on you install. The crack files should be put in the base game directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin).

Also, there are a lot of bad 1.24.3 cracks out there...if you want to use mine, let me know and I'll upload it tomorrow. I'm not sure if attaching it to my post would violate any forum rules.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 on a 64 bit on: 2011 September 27, 04:20:45
gilmar...I may be copiously reading between the lines here, but are you applying a crack before all expansions are installed?
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 on a 64 bit on: 2011 September 20, 14:34:26
So far it is running okay, about the same as it runs on my 32 bit. I don't normally patch my game as problems arise from it because of my non-original software.

You could have a flawed release. I just started simming again after a 2 year break, and had to reinstall 4 times changing the group source of various releases until it was error free. I have all expansions & stuff packs installed, and am patched to 1.24 on win7 x64. Runs great with no error messages...in default install directory. Awesomemod also.
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 November 13, 22:24:52
Thanks Morphar...I'll make another attempt in a couple days and post my results.

Update 11/23:
I updated to 1.6.6, but still the problem persists.
I read the info on Morphar's link and the consensus is that the sound 2 tab in Direct X Diagnostics is the root of the problem...unfortunately I can't see any way to remove it as specified as there is no indication of the culprit 56k modem in my device manager or control panel. Changing the hardware acceleration didn't help either.

I did find an odd Multimedia audio controller in 'Other devices' in the device manager, but disabling it had no effect.

Until there is a fix by EA or a more comprehensive understanding of the issues, it's 1.2.7 for me...
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 November 12, 00:21:31
Wish I could use AwesomeMod...but every time I patch past 1.2.7 my audio stammers and stutters..thanks out to EA for the alpha software.

This is a home I built 3 or 4 years ago.

It features an indoor curved bridge over a stream, an indoor sunken swimming pool and an unusual dyke (no, not a romance sim). I also designed a set of tinted transparent floors for it and a leopard spot grating, as well as some opaque flooring and walls...oh, and a counter set embossed w/ hemp leaves.

I wont include any interior pics...it needs to be taken in 3D. Here's a couple exterior shots:

There are no hacks in this lot. There are 3 custom contents that aren't mine:

And a parasol that came from Sims 2 Sisters, the site is listed at the Sims 2 Graveyard. I did find a forum of theirs.

14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whats in your UserStartup.cheat File? on: 2008 October 24, 11:56:19

Tried a few variations to no avail...here's my UserStartup:

Code:
unlockcareerrewards

My other  cheats seam to work...just not the alias..ne1 know why?

Is unlockcareerrewards a valid cheat for use in the userstartup file? I thought this one could only be used inside lots. Try removing it; if it is invalid than everything after that line will be disregarded.

Good Catch...I didn't know about the lot specific thing. From now on I'll check my last entry in-game when revising my userstartup..

THANK YOU  Smiley
and thanks to all

I like how the cats go into a psychotic depression if you don't replace their catnip...lol
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Familiars without zomgPets installed? on: 2008 October 24, 00:28:43
I've got to quite like the pet noise around the 'hood. It's better than the music anyway.

I usually praise the cats for yowling and running around crazily in a catnip induced frenzy. Hey, it makes me laff...

Don't like that music and TV wake up the pets though...it offers up the dilemma of do I unlock the bedroom doors to critters who's deepest desire is to make kindling of my expensive beds, or worse yet..give the dagblamed varmints their own room Shocked
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whats in your UserStartup.cheat File? on: 2008 October 23, 22:19:31
Try a different alias? Maybe 'mon' is something reserved in the game?

At first I tried 5 different cheats using the alias precursor...none worked. Then I used only one to simplify before posting here. Tried various forms...nogo.

I'm starting to suspect it's the alias command itself. Perhaps they removed that functionality for XP sp1 in one of the expansion packs. I've come across a few programs that won't install to sp1, but never noticed anything that installed, operating improperly.

Meh, alias is only a convenience feature, anyway...I've mostly memorized the cheats I use frequently Smiley
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whats in your UserStartup.cheat File? on: 2008 October 23, 18:03:20
Syntax?  You seem to have too many spaces.  Try:

alias mon "moveobjects on"

mmm...nope. Still get the same error message..but thanks for trying.
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whats in your UserStartup.cheat File? on: 2008 October 23, 16:41:47
Doh... I can't get the alias to work in-game. Googled and found http://www.modthesims2.com/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Userstartup.cheat#Aliased_Cheats

Tried a few variations to no avail...here's my UserStartup:

Code:
boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true
boolProp petActionCancel true
boolProp ControlPets on
uintProp   maxTotalSims 50
uintProp   maxTotalHumans 35
uintProp   maxTotalPets 15
boolprop ShowLotPackageFilename true
floatProp tvVolume 0.2
unlockcareerrewards

alias     mon     "moveobjects on"      "moveobjects on"      "moveobjects on"
alias     mof     "moveobjects off"      "moveobjects off"      "moveobjects off"

I Ctrl+Shift+C and enter mon ...get an Unknown Command error.

I have all EP's through Pets installed and run XP sp1.
My UserStartup.cheat file association is with notepad.
My other  cheats seam to work...just not the alias..ne1 know why?
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is my Strangetown strange? on: 2008 October 23, 05:05:06
Yeah, it would be cool if divergent skin tones would morph together on babies instead of the lame and unrealistic A or B system. EAxis will spend ridiculous amounts of time on content nobody wants(How many sims have you played that wear a deep-sea diving helmet ?) and totally ignore opportunities for innovative creativity...

/rant
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Whats in your UserStartup.cheat File? on: 2008 October 23, 03:46:04
boolProp allow45DegreeAngleOfRotation true
boolProp petActionCancel true
boolProp ControlPets on
uintProp   maxTotalSims 50
uintProp   maxTotalHumans 35
uintProp   maxTotalPets 15
boolprop ShowLotPackageFilename true

I alter the walls text to allow submersion and unlevel top & bottom, also.

Need to find a good camera script for close-ups...

Edit: the alias must allow for abbreviated entry of the command...haven't seen that before.
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Game not loading? on: 2008 October 11, 02:40:21
Sounds like it could be a version prob to me, too.

Are you sure your cracked exe is for the patched version and not the original release?

23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A question of genetics on: 2008 October 11, 02:14:09
1) Is there an easy method to extract a skintone used by my male sims and colourize the nipples of the females in the skintone and replace the existing males skintone in the game?

2) Is it possible to change an existing (in the game) females skintone/mesh/whatever in SimPe so that the male children grow up to be SlimBody Builders and not maxis skinny dudes?

1) I would assume you could open the package file in SimPE, export the texture, colourize it using your image editing program of choice, and import the new .png file... not sure of the exact procedure, but you can probably find a tute. Or use trial and error. Just back up the .package first...

2) Changing skintones in SimPE is ridiculously easy. Just add the relevant .package files to your filetable, and the skintone option will show up in SimSurgery. You'll then have to open the sim's character file and update the SimDNA to make the change genetic. Again, back up your 'hood first...

I used to have a similar situation a couple years ago. I did my own female recolors from pics I crackinated from ATK and Karups sites. I almost always did SimSurgery on them at the teen stage...problem was, that I always got facial deformation(they used to call it crimplip). Then I had to go into the SimPE resource tree and list, and replace files on the patient sim from a different level of the file hierchy. SimPE seemed to lose the functionality to make the corrections in either the Nightlife or Pets edition.

I'm just getting back into simming, and I'm curious if the SimSurgery is still Fubarred? Or is there another program that can do the Sims DNA thing correctly...seems like Rick Halle had one that worked early on, unfortunately it was pay content.

25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Need the no shoplifting hack on: 2008 October 03, 05:16:17
I haven't played Sims 2 for a very long time, and don't have all my files anymore. I used to have a hack to stop Sims from shoplifting in OFB and I'm pretty sure it was JMP hack. I tried to google it and also looked thru the 'moreawesomethanyou-pets' download, but couldn't find it. It was called something like: Dontstealmystore...

any help finding it would be appreciated Smiley
