1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So what's been fixed in NL on: 2005 September 16, 08:30:35
Hopefully I haven't missed it now when exactly is this NL patch coming out?
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's the best stories you've read? on: 2005 August 31, 06:59:58
there is a story album editor on the mts2 think it is under tools.  but it has it problems you have to upload it to the exchange first. then go into the editor and fix it.  then go back in game and upload the fix version into the exchange.  even though it seems like it takes forever it only takes the time it takes for your game to load.  you can mess with pictures and change stuff and everything in there it is a real cool program.

Shamelessly I do not use it enough.  I tend to wait until my husband tells me about my mistakes to go in to refix them.  It has always been very hard for me to edit my own material.  I had a huge paper I had to write for a class that was 95% of my grade and you were allowed no mistakes.  I think fifteen people edited that for me.   Grin

well I have to be slightly egotisctal my stories are the best.  which if you want to check them out just do a search of sasha7617.
I have read a few that I have liked a lot all of them are bookmarked on my page and check regularly for updates, but the names have slipped my memory.

The one that reggiko (hope i didn't missspell) no wusses challenge is really good.  I have heard her legacy story is really good too, I haven't had a chance to read it yet but I will.

I just wish I could tell my stories exactly the way I want to w/o worring about someone freaking out and they get kicked.  I have some more adult oriented stories that I have posted on other places than reedited and put up on the exchange.  I don't think a lil kid need to see the nice lil toys I have acquired.
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How about a no-clog or reduced-clog toilet global? on: 2005 August 15, 10:11:52
In case anyone is interested, Morague just made a "No Clog Toilets in Dorms Mod" over at VS.  You can find it here:

http://www.variousimmers.net/vsimforum/showthread.php?threadid=1902

for all those peeps that avoid variousimmers you can find the same hack at mts2 ...search morague and it is dorm and no dorm.

even though this topic has diversed a lot from the no clog toliet Grin

Actually, to "use" a shrub, you need outgoing > 900 or active < 100 (and to be male). Neatness < 100 affects whether you can "use" a shower.

I am pretty sure I am pretty maxed in the outgoing part but I will check that.  As far as the neatness thing are you saying it has to be 1 or less to use the shower?

Darn darn I'm not giving up...guess just have to meditate, meditate, meditate.
Does the outgoing part work for a guy using a money tree too?
Thanks everyone for the help just figued the damn sim was screwin w/ me just b/c it someone how knew it was part of a challenge.   Embarrassed

Could it be that your sim's Neatness rating is too high to use the bush or the shower?

is 2, to high?
7  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Email Challenge...Because Those Other Challenges Are Boring And For Wusses! on: 2005 August 13, 18:08:22
Well I guess I am a wussie because I am having much problems with this challenge.  I can't get my sim to use the shower, bush, or money tree.  I did figure out that meditation will stop everything, but darn it I want him to pee in the shower.  I got other sims that do it all the freakin time on there own and I really don't have to pee.  So what is the secret to this?

My updated score is -2500
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is Death truly random? on: 2005 August 10, 20:35:26
I am not really sure what happened all I know is I loaded my game, my girl climbed out of bed fell on the floor and died.  I was in total shock so I just quit the game with out saving.  Reloaded the game and she fell and the floor and died again.  She didn't have the flu, her needs weren't lethal.
Which I was watching for this time and I was able to have her wife plead for her life and she was saved.

My other death was the maid that Dan Pleasant got caught sleeping with, died in the Pleansant's backyard.  Dan got caught moved out the same day.  Mary-Sue kept the house and I notice maid just wandering around but she wasn't cleaning anything.  I couldn't fire her actually i couln't ineract with her at all.  She would pass out in the yard but use the bathroom and take a shower.  If I "served" food she would eat.  So I just made sure that all food was put up she died from starvation and I told a nice little story all about it.

My only exciting deaths/close calls everyone else has died of ripe old age, well I had the one preganant starvation death and I just let ole Cass Goth die.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: possible stupid question regarding maternity wear on: 2005 August 09, 21:47:52
not sure if this will help but there is a computer that will let you shop online which you can only by maternity clothes when your pregnant.  but if you find some you like you can buy them and then pick instead of letting it be random.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Have you seen the effects of Aspiration Failure? on: 2005 August 09, 07:32:38
I have seen the social bunny twice both time with Dina.  She was totally depleted of social.  Both times I ignored him and just went about my business.  He went away after she woohooed the first time and the second time he hopped away after a phone call.  Which the phone call was strange because it wasn't a friend it was someone she had no relationship with at all.

I saw the shrink once Alex Goth (Bella's and Mort's son) after his wife died (he was a family sim) he broke down and shrink came.  But he wasn't around that long couple minutes.  Alex was off the ground eating the salmon he prepared for her right after and shrink never came back.

As far as letting the aspiration drop I really don't do that on purpose think it is cooler to just let the game flow on its own and see what breaks who down.  As far as cheats and hacks I have JM's fixes and that is about it.  Slow decay in plantinum, pay at the box, no homework everyday... nothing that like really changes just stuff that takes out a few steps.  I have never tweaked an relationship other than using global woohoo bed and hot tub.  I have never changed a LTW or none of that stuff.  I pretty much go for the slightly game modifing hacks like seeing my simmies naked and w/ real body parts  Wink
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: who's playing this game? on: 2005 August 08, 07:08:21
Actually this game keeps me sane.  I'm a business type, BA in HR yep I'm the bitch that gets you sucky insurance and fires ya!
I have no clue why they would think business people would hate this you have to wanna and do manipulate someone parts of peoples lives in business isn't that what this game is total and utter control of something. I wish I could just click on someone and tell them what to do and the mindlessly go do it.  But I can't and for the ones that really make me feel like that I make a simmy of them and then I can do it whenever I want to.
I have a couple diffrent families with designed after my husband  Grin
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What the...?? on: 2005 August 07, 22:13:57

Why do you need it? I used it once, and all I saw was naked dolls - nothing interesting, and I took it off. My sims have sexy dresses, and that's far more interesting...Smiley.

Actually there are a lot of nude real parts default skins.  Go to MTS2 and you can find your fill if you want you sims to be nude and look real.

Thanks for the tip about the bushes.  As far as the shower stall thing I sold of the bath/shower combo and got a cheap shower stall thinking that might be a problem.
14  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: The Email Challenge...Because Those Other Challenges Are Boring And For Wusses! on: 2005 August 06, 06:38:17
Howdy
yep I'm new here... actually new to the whole sims thing period but I caught on quick and when J.M.  stuff disappered from MTS2 I found him quick.

Just to state the haaaz thread about J.M. being banned from VS was very entertaining I read it last night when I should have went to bed.

Okay get to the point this challenge well I'm not doing so hot in the hole 1500 yep 3 accidents.  I read this before I started and people said shower and bushes can prevent the accidents, well I have yet to see that.  I started out with single male, leo, knowledge aspiration, and LTW is to be criminal mastermind.

For anyone who is intrested here is the beginning of the story... love this challenge b/c it is a challenge!
