Get a desktop instead.

Congratulations on fucking up your registry. Next time don't delete random keys unless you know what you're doing.

In this order:
1. Uninstall everything
2. Reinstall everything
3. Patch
4. Install AM
5. Start a new neighborhood
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Arr'ed games installed-magically uninstalled on: 2011 August 26, 06:13:31
Did you do a system restore recently?

Something got messed up or reverted in Windows, it's not a problem with your game.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Arr'ed games installed-magically uninstalled on: 2011 August 26, 06:04:26
You're going to have to explain a bit better than "not installed". It exists in the program files, so just run the exe.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: I have searched long and hard (that's what she said) on: 2011 August 23, 05:32:55
I found the answer from the first result of a Google search. I suggest you try that.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 on a 64 bit on: 2011 August 21, 15:58:53
You probably have your UAC settings too strict.

Unless you mean this error, which is absolutely useless and means nothing:

8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 on a 64 bit on: 2011 August 21, 15:46:47
I tried it on my xp 64 bit first, it had those problems. Then I tried it on my seven 64 bit, it had the same problems. Is it harmful to my computer if I installed the game into Program Files instead of Program Files (x86)?
Program Files is for 64-bit programs, Program Files (x86) is for 32-bit programs (like The Sims 3). It's not going to harm your computer, but it's totally pointless to mix them up like that.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Running torrented EP's without CD on: 2011 August 18, 13:44:29
"I mounted the image, installed it, and then downloaded a no-CD crack."

If you're going to attempt to flame me, lrn 2 reed. I already installed the no-CD crack. The problem is that, even with said crack, it still does not work.
Did you update the game? A crack isn't going to work properly on an updated game, unless you get an updated crack. TS3 is updated so often so just download a no-cd mod, like the previous poster suggested which you didn't read either.

I hope you backed up your original exe before replacing it with a useless crack, game patches sometimes reject altered files.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Updater (v2.6.1 - Updated 6/14/2011) on: 2011 August 15, 05:29:21
I use Windows XP, and no, it doesn't seem to recognize wget...
Did you RTFM?

Quote
1. Unzip wget.exe and unzip.exe to your system's Windows folder (usually "C:\Windows").
These files are needed to actually download the files, and to unzip the downloaded zip files.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help me fix this BS on: 2011 April 16, 04:28:28
What's the trick?  dunno...  <shrug>
I can only guess that it's because I have always used an over-sized swap file, instead of a system managed swap file.
Nah. You don't even technically need the page file if you have enough RAM (8GB+), but of course it's nice to have in certain situations. I recommend leaving it on system managed, or you're just wasting hard drive space.

Oh dear, Narmy can't follow a conversation. I was trying to point out to jeebus that perhaps finds 7 easy to use because he doesn't use it much. I fight with 7 all the time but prefer a windows machine since it's mostly for gaming and ARRRING. Why the fuck would I want my hand held by an OS? Again, if it wasn't for the gaming aspect I'd be on linux.
It sounded to me like a sarcastic comment like "Windows 7 sucks, you just don't know it yet." I'd think that the more you use an OS, the more familiar and easier it is to use, right?

There's always so many conflicting reports between people having tons of errors and problems, and people having no problems at all. The most logical explanation I can think of is that user-error is more of a factor than computer-error.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help me fix this BS on: 2011 April 15, 01:57:26
Ok, you know what? I am sick to death of constantly having to defend my choice of computer on these boards. It's one thing to tussle with jezzer, his hatred of the A-word is well documented, and besides he is just jealous of my hipster weave. But to be insulted by some randomer? Yeah, fuck off. I have not been hoodwinked by Apple's shiny advertising campaigns. It turns out the reason I like Macs is because I prefer OSX to Window's shitsville systems, especially Vista and Seven. I am not alone.

I have been using macs for the last two years, but bought a windows netbook for my Australian adventure because who wants to cart £1000 worth of equipment round dodgy hostels? For two years I haven't encountered any problems I couldn't fix myself. Suddenly, upon my reluctant return to Windows I discovered a host of issues. Wireless didn't work, dongle didn't work, windows firewall as per usual was running around everywhere mooning and generally cocking things up. Granted, this is just one unfortunate experience, but it is an example of why I prefer Macs.

I know Macs are overpriced, and I know Apple are evil bastards hiding under a veneer of 'hey we're so cool and charming' but you know what? I like Macs. If I can afford to buy a computer I will actually enjoy using, what's the harm in that? I paid a similar price for a high end laptop before I bought my pro and it was beset with issues from the get go. If i have to pay the price of a lesser gaming experience, then so be it. Obviously if I were a hardcore gamer, I wouldn't use a Mac. I am not some rabid fan girl, I am well aware macs have their limits. I am just sick to death of constantly having to watch the baying hordes of MATY sit around and have group wanks over how much Macs suck.

So no, I am not a moron. I have not been 'deceived by clever wordplay'. I am just a consumer who prefers Macs to PCs.
Sorry that you're insulted by the opinion of some randomer. I honestly don't care about your preference, use whatever you like the best.

That doesn't make the Apple commercials "Mac can do anything better than a PC" any less of a lie, though.

You obviously don't use it enough.
Some people don't need their hand held by their OS.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help me fix this BS on: 2011 April 14, 15:34:25
Why do people buy Macs unless they are in the publishing industry?
The only real difference between a Mac and a PC is the OS, and as a result the software that is compatible with that OS. However, Windows has plenty of software that can do the exact same things, even for an industry professional. Hell, even Linux could probably do the same things too, the open-source community is huge these days.

The thing is, people have been conditioned to believe otherwise by multi-million dollar advertising campaigns that appeal to the less technically knowledgeable people, and deceiving them with clever wordplay and often inaccurate statistics.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help me fix this BS on: 2011 April 13, 18:49:41
I have a new Mac OS X.

Mac OS X
Version 10.6.7
Processor: 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Hard drive capacity: 195.29 GB
Available: 28.5 GB

It still baffles me that Apple would sell something so shitty as "new", almost as much as it baffles me that people actually buy it for $1000+.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help me fix this BS on: 2011 April 13, 16:48:29
Did you try lowering the graphics setting to minimum? Those specs are pretty terrible, and apparently the system requirements on a Mac are a fair bit higher.

Also try it with no CC at all, see if that does anything.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You - March on: 2011 April 13, 15:05:22
Actually my point was more along the lines of "there's stuff that can be considered by some people as being just as disgusting as anthro animal related stuff on this very site." I wasn't talking about bestiality at all, since wanting to molest an actual animal isn't even close to being the same thing as simply drawing cartoony, highly-stylized humanoid ones which don't even exist and amount to mere drawings. It's not like I care if you don't find furry stuff to be appealing, the only thing that irks me is when people think that a consensual act between two people or a few drawings (whether sexual in nature or not) is exactly the same thing as raping your pet dog. Cmon, that's just asinine.
The thing about furries is, they seem to take offense to everything and love to justify their fetish.

Point proven.

18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Game won't load after installing the Awesome Mod. on: 2011 April 13, 05:39:32
@MadamMim - that is exactly the reason why I turn of AM's no-cd and go with NRAAS' mod, for the post-patch AM incompatibility, yes.

Anyway, as I said a few posts back, I got it working again by putting in a fresh copy&paste of the self-same framework I already had in place.  I have no idea why that worked, but it did.
Why would you play TS3 without AM, especially after a patch where they tend to introduce more bugs than they fix.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You - March on: 2011 April 07, 18:51:10
So if a pedophile were going to play that card, what "not as sick as" would he choose?
Who knows?

The thing about furries is, they seem to take offense to everything and love to justify their fetish. I don't really see that with people of other fetishes.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: More Awful Than You - March on: 2011 April 07, 18:04:05
Well, furries ARE less yucky than pedophiles, I'd hardly think that being interested in anthro animals is even close to being on par with pedophilia and I'd assume most people on MATY would have enough sense to know that. Bestiality on the other hand, that just depends on your personal point of view as to whether it's worse than or not as bad as pedophilia since they're both really bad.
So you make your sick fantasies seem better by saying "oh at least it's not as sick as THAT".

At least pedophiles stay in their own fantasy land and don't spread their disease to decent sites.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Game won't load after installing the Awesome Mod. on: 2011 April 05, 17:16:26
You don't need a no-CD mod with AM...
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Run, sim, run on: 2011 April 04, 18:01:15
If they walk as normal when interacting with objects, then what's the problem? I thought "go here" was if you wanted them to actually go somewhere, not just move around the house.
23  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Run, sim, run on: 2011 April 04, 16:33:13
There already are teleporters. They do a lot more than simply take you down the stairs.
Aren't those one-way only? Never bought it since I'd rather spend my points on other rewards.

testingcheatsenabled true Shift-click the ground. Choose Teleport to Here.
Sims can't autonomously do that.
24  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Run, sim, run on: 2011 April 04, 05:15:43
My only complaint about running is that sims can't run down the stairs, too. We really need a banister-sliding animation.
Or the teleporters from TS1.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims Medieval on: 2011 April 03, 19:21:04
I also haven't found any workarounds.
A computer that doesn't barely scratch the minimum requirements.
