"beat the duck" sounds like the most disgusting euphemism ever.

Gah!  You had to say that!  Now I have to go see if I can casually introduce it into conversation and get my friends to pick it up. :-)

A lot of feeEssen's meshes look like the kind of coffee mugs people make in ceramics therapy classes at mental hospitals to to pass the time between electro shocks.

Oh, god.  That's so funny, and so true!

If Fee didn't post a new mesh every single day, maybe she'd be able to polish her creations until they looked a bit less clunky.  I don't quite get why she feels compelled to churn this stuff out at such a great rate.  As someone else said, some of her ideas are worthwhile, but the execution is so clumsy.

I think Khan was trying to be funny, not uppity. I think it's valid to ask whether the meshes should have been part of the score, especially since Pescado indicated on page 6 that Warlock's idiotic meshes didn't make clothes whorish. I know this is a board where people frequently get their lips bitten off, but most of your responses to Khan struck me as overly seriously, especially considering you're judges in a contest for whore clothes. Relax.

I'm afraid that I agree, and I'm neither spambi nor Khan!  Think fun, people, fun.

2.  Knowledge sims no longer obsessed with attempted suicide unless low ASP.

Almost everybody I hang out with regularly in real life would be Knowledge if they were a sim, probably because most other things pall with time, whereas knowledge has infinite variety.  None of my friends have suicidal tendencies, so I'm glad to see that their electronic counterparts are no longer tying up the suicide hotline. :-)

Anyway, yes, I seem to have stumbled upon something quite.. unique, and don't really know if it would qualified in here, but here it is:

You can find it here.

*laugh* *splutter*  The weird thing is, a guy came to my last playparty dressed almost exactly like this.  No, really!

31  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 18, 16:41:43
Why does that make me think of the Jetsons when I look at it?

Maybe it's what a Jetsons whore looks like.  I'm sure a nice lady like Jane would never be caught dead in it. :-)
32  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 17, 22:15:43
I saw this in the FORMAL section of Briher.dk.  It's not as slutty as some of the awful things that other people have posted, but I thought it should get an honorable mention for being formal.  Hey, sis, guess what I'm wearing to your wedding? :-)

33  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 16, 08:13:12
always wondering why people wanted fat sims in their games

Those of us who ARE fat want some of our sims to look like us.
34  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 14, 01:23:59
Oh, great. One less creator to point and laugh at. What did you go and do that for, Chienne?  Wink

Ah, but I didn't even try to talk her out of doing her "sexy" granny clothes.  Since the inappropriate sexualization of the elderly doesn't seem to me to be a widespread social problem -- the reverse, if anything -- I didn't bring up her unusual designs for elderly ladies.  So she'll still make stuff you can point and laugh at. :-)

35  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Apr "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Whore Clothes on: 2007 April 13, 17:14:13
Yes, I'll admit it....I have a vendetta against juttapoontah

I  had an exchange of PM's with Jutta about her inappropriately sexy children's clothes, and she says she isn't going to do that anymore.  (In real life, I'm a therapist who specializes in working with adults who were abused as children, so I had plenty of examples to persuade her that sexualizing children is a Bad Idea.)
36  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Celebration Stuff Hair on: 2007 April 07, 22:17:14
Thanks for this!  I never buy the stuff packs -- I donate to free sites instead -- so I'm glad to have one of the handful of good things that are included in the stuff packs.
37  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 April 02, 00:35:37
When I try to load a neighborhood after installing the patch, the choose-a-neighborhood screen is fine, but once I pick a  neighborhood, its load screen flashes on and off.  It gets the lights across the top that show that it's loading, but even when fully loaded, I still just have a flashing neighborhood load screen.  Oh, joy, oh, rapture!

Guess it's time to go through the hacks one by one....

So, if Seasons wasn't already bothering you, installing the patch may not be worth the trouble it will cause.
38  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Garden Environment score bottomed out? on: 2007 March 09, 10:04:08
Yes, I think the trashcan contents can probably be composted,

Yep, they can; I've done it.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: Plant sims on: 2007 March 09, 09:58:32
They can, its not difficult at all, the water need decays in the same speed as hygiene, which is really slow. the Sun decays as slow as normal energy, even during the night.
they can go anywhere and do anything without worry much.
the real reason as the earlier poster said, was probably because they didn't have enough time to make all the mesh for different ages.

Hmm.  Your plant sims must be different from mine.  I noticed that when my normal sim went to work, the plant sim would have passed out if I hadn't watered him while she was gone.
40  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bathroom envy on: 2007 March 08, 21:22:56
we all know that sims like to party in the bathroom

They really do.  I'm doing the Insane Asylum Challenge.  I've built them an enormous day room with everything the challenge allows, and where does everybody end up?  In front of the single solitary toilet that's supposed to serve eight people.  But  it's not that they're lining up to use it; they're having pillow fights or playing red hands.  Oh, sure if I wanted to have a pillow fight, I'd head for a 3x4 room instead of a room with space to run around in.  Stupid sims.

Does anybody know WHY they love the bathroom so much?
41  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: Plant sims on: 2007 March 08, 21:16:15
I wonder if it is at all possible to make the Plant Sims age normally (all age stages).

There would need to be some other hack besides just adding some green skin, because I don't think children could stay inside the school (and away from the shower!) all day.  The teens have a shorter school day, so I suppose they *might* be able to make it.  It stil seems like it would be a pretty big stress, though.

I figure this is why Plantsims age directly from toddler to adult -- because they'd die if you sent them to schooll!
42  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Anti Bag Throw on: 2007 March 07, 13:15:21
Oh, good!  I was tired of the customers being such babies.
43  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: Plant sims on: 2007 March 07, 13:04:14
I find the plantsim skin rather pretty, actually. When you put them in underwear you can see that the leaves are a hidden outfit, not part of the skin, and they have vines tattooed on their skin, it sort of matches Enyala's fantasy skins.

I agree; I think the vine and leaf tatoos are really pretty.  I was surprised when people wanted to replace that with plain, solid green.

I find plantsims tiring to play because they never go to sleep!  I had no idea that I needed the momentary respite while my sims slept, but it looks as if I do.  Sure, I could pause the game, but I like having a down period while my sims are peacefully sleeping and I'm thinking about what to have them do the next day.  There's more of a "God's watching over you" feeling if I think about them while they sleep, as opposed to when I'm pausing the game. :-)

I'm surprised that other sims have no reaction when someone changes into a plantsim.  I appreciate their not caring about race or sexual orientation, but they do notice things like stinky sims; you'd think a wife would notice (not necessarily in a negative way, but *notice*) that her husband had turned green and sprouted leaves.  When my guy turned into a plant sim, his wife came home from work and chatted as usual.  About tennis.  You'd think she'd at least say, "Hey, what happened to you while I was at work?!" :-)

Someone asked if a sim who was born/spawned as a plant sim can be cured.  Yup.  My guy spawned a daughter, and I had her drink the potion when she grew up.  I made her a Knowledge sim, partly because I play them the most, anyway, and partly because I thought a Knowledge sim could handle the trauma of changing races/species/whatever better than other sims. :-)

Instead I was told that if we ran out of food because I wasted it, they'd have to kill and eat me.

Ah.  And wouldn't it be interesting to be YOUR therapist. :-)
45  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 05, 11:49:32
The top of the scalp flaps around when the sim moves too. Gross.

The TOP OF THE SCALP FLAPS AROUND when the sim moves?  Ewwww.

Sounds like we need *videos* of some of this bad hair, not just pictures. :-)
46  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Life Stories - Get the Stuffeths here! on: 2007 March 05, 11:43:24
I'm guessing the Life Stories careers (game developer and entertainer) are the same as those in Seasons, so if we install seasons we should dump these?  Can anyone confirm that?

Life Stories is Game DEVELOPER, whereas Seasons is Game PLAYER.  I found myself wondering how many ordinary Sims players knew what a Gold Farmer was. :-)  (Yes, I know what one is; helpful people don't have to write to explain it to me.)
47  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 04, 10:50:13
Thanks for the laughs, everybody; these are priceless.

It's not the hair makers' fault, but one amusing thing I found is that if I use Warlokk's Classic Pin-up mesh and put long hair on the sim, the long hair goes through her breast and out the other side.  That's gotta hurt! :-)

48  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons: What mods are you already begging for? on: 2007 March 02, 21:57:17
I have exactly the opposite reaction.  I would love a "no plantsims under any circumstances" hack, like the ones that are available for preventing vampire biting, etc.  I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers to keep the game realistic.

jfade at DJS Sims just made one; you can find it at http://www.djssims.com/index.php?category=10

Fabulous!  Thank you.

Oh, thanks!  Very generous of you.

Amazon sent me an e-mail telling me that my pre-order code was below, but there was nothing there.  Now I won't have to try to get them to re-send it.
