TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here

You have to open each package separately with S3PE and look at the file names to see which item it is you are looking at. If you want something specific it's easier to use Custard on the sims3pack of the set as it will list all the items, see which one of the gibberish names is the item you want. Keep the custard window open and use Delphy's package extractor on the set and only keep the package you want. If only it was as descriptive for hairs and clothes. "CounterIslandCraftsman" or whatever is much more helpful than "Everyday- TYAF" when there's several female everyday items.

Ugh, I think I may just switch to .packages. The launcher randomly replaced a thumbnail with a white box with a red X in it after the last batch. It went away when I closed the launcher and reopened it, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lot of it's corrupt now.
The weird thing is that the box moved when I scrolled down, so it always occupied the same space on the screen. But anyway, what's kept me from using packages for Store stuff so far is that since the filenames when you extract them are gibberish strings, I can't tell which item is which, so I can't remove the ones I don't want. How do I get around that? Is it okay to extract from decrapified packs or should I get fresh ones?

The downloads folder is basically a waiting area. They're not actually installed until you tell the Launcher to install them or you unpack the .package files and put them in your Mods/Packages. Since you decrapified them, I'm guessing you mean to use the Launcher.

So chances are EA borked something again, then? Big surprise. If it's not going to break my game, though (with how buggy this whole series is, I was concerned it was a sign of a bigger error,) I can live with renaming a household here and there.

The .world file is where it originally installed to (GameData/Shared/NonPackaged/Worlds) and I installed the routing fixes by renaming the original one from .world to .backup and placing the fixed one in its place. I downloaded the already-fixed .world, as I didn't really want to mess around with S3PE if I didn't have to.

I just started an Appaloosa Plains save, and the game's generated a couple households to move into empty slots as per usual. Both immigrant households have a file path for a name, so it'll say things like "Visit the .../Excel/EP05/Households/Jenner household". (I may have the path there wrong, I didn't write it down.) Is this a sign of impending BFBVFS?
I have Awesomemod installed, along with Nraas Overwatch, ErrorTrap, Register and Careers. At the moment the only EP installed is Pets.
Edit: On second thought maybe they weren't randomly generated (I only just now thought to look up who the starting homeless families are, so that's probably where the Jenner household came from.) If that matters, anyway.

Umm, how can we turn CC on in an arr'd copy if you're not supposed to let arr'd things connect to the internet?
My base Spore is legal (though I'm sure EA wishes that buying their games used for $10 was illegal. XP), but my GA... yeah. Assuming I even can register the base game (serial code might have been used already), I can't actually take it online, right?
I suppose I can always wait for GA to go down in price too, though.
Edit: Disregard this post, I found a used copy cheaper than yesterday.

Serious Business / Spore Discussions / Robot Chicken adventures without registering?

You have to log in to get them from the official site, so... Robot Chicken's not normally my kind of thing, sure, but I get a laugh out of it occasionally when I'm home and Dad's watching it. So yeah.
Searching for torrents of it didn't come up with anything Spore-related at all, and Google's just bringing up reviews and "how do I install?" questions.
