76  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How often do you 'reboot'? on: 2008 August 21, 12:07:07
I just did that today   Wink   Grin

Usually whenever I get bored of whats going on or if things arent going to plan in my game, or if I cant locate a hack that is bugging my game, I just deleted the downloads folder today as well, cause I didnt feel like sourcing through it and I do have a compressed backup of it.  So I will extract only the things I know that work.

81  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Aggie's House of Phail on: 2008 June 30, 16:30:18
That's fine, I changed the doors to the kitchen and dining room.  Also doors to the stairs.
I will add the pictures to my original post.
82  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Aggie's House of Phail on: 2008 June 30, 15:43:51
Thanks for letting me know, I wont change anything from the outside, as that is fine, all I wil change is the doors from with the kitchen to locking doors.  Should the rest of the house be locked for visitors?
83  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Guidelines for Awesomespec Houses? on: 2008 June 30, 15:24:42
Is there a guideline with a checklist to designing Awesomespec houses?  I did try searching this forum and found nothing about guidelines.  I have picked up some things, but mostly it confuses me.
84  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Aggie's House of Phail on: 2008 June 30, 15:17:07
The original kitchen from Aggie's was never lockable, I dont think it is lockable either, its basically her house, with a few tweeks, of course I can take away the arched door and replace it with a normal door, or you can it should be simple enough to do.

88  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighborhoods and Townie creation (Updated for BV) on: 2008 April 06, 00:50:12
Thanks, there is something wrong with my game, my CAS is not showing the clothes from the Bon Voyage, I think I may need to reinstall that, I thought it should be in but it wasnt.

I copy and past every bit of information and print it out and follow all insructions, although it can be confusing.  I managed to do everything with other hoods, just Bon Voyage is the one that can be tricky.  I just wish I could do it in onme step, like the other hoods.

What I mean by Tourists, I think I meant to say Locals (those are the ones with the gestures), but the clean template still added the NPC's for Bon Voyage.

I was quite tired when I wrote the other post, so I was forgetting what I was typing.

Many thanks for your help.
89  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighborhoods and Townie creation (Updated for BV) on: 2008 April 05, 11:50:12
Do I need to add the 3 Neighbourhoods for Bon Voyage first before creating them?
I downloaded a clean template(s), but I still get the Bellboy, etc... Is that meant to happen?
How do I access the clothes for the Far East, are they in CAS?
When making them a local / tourist - do they automatically know the gestures etc?

Sorry if I sound blonde, but I did it and it messed up, and now I can either delete my whole hood or start again.

BTW, if I wanted to give a permanent makeover/surgery to the tourists, could I copy the NPC's into Bodyshop and then replace them with SIMPE Sim Surgery.  And if that was possible, what files would I copy? And where to?

Thank you for yout quick response, I shall certainly do the add a baby one, cause it will be much quicker to do, I generally do that If I want a large family of siblings.  I take a brother and sister and then make 6 adults and connect them as siblings.
91  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Tutorial: Clean custom neighborhoods and Townie creation (Updated for BV) on: 2008 April 04, 17:23:10
I have a few questions on generating/making tourists.

1.  What is the best way to generate tourists?  The gun or CAS.

2.  The Townie brick does go absolutely crazy when in game, if I create these tourists in CAS and use the brick, to make them into the various townies eg, Asia etc... will they automatically know he local gestures?  If not how do I make them know it?

3.  Which face template is suitable for Asian townies, if I made them in CAS?

Many thanks for your help and the link to the tutorial.   Wink
93  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Strangetown and Veronaville DNA Fixes on: 2008 March 30, 06:00:50
I didnt really want to start a new topic as it was a quick question, and the topic is only on 1 page.

Does this DNA fix, facial structure to sims like Nervous and the ugly sims of strangetown?  If not them, will it effect their children?
94  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to generate dormies? on: 2008 March 20, 23:47:25
thank you for your suggestions, i take it that the gun think from the testingcheatsenabled cheat can then generate them.  or with the mailbox.  i think i will create then in YA CAS and do it manually with either Inge's teleport or gun/maillbox
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to generate dormies? on: 2008 March 20, 17:35:37
I dont want the ugly dormies though.  Is there another way?
96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / How to generate dormies? on: 2008 March 20, 17:20:30
I am using the cleaned up templates for my game, with all the necessary hacks etc...  Of course, when playing in a dorm, no dormies are generated.  How to I generate them?  Thanks.
97  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 March 09, 01:06:33
Note: Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT delete the lots in the neighbourhood folder.

This is an empty template, maybe has some garbage files in it. It might be able to be cleaned better than I can do this.

And again, do NOT delete the lots. I can't stress this enough

Go ahead and delete all the characters, the thumbnails.

You may think that you need to delete the lots folder, but those are needed by the game. The game will use those lots for the special hobby lots that you need a membership card to get into. The game most likely cannot create them on it's own, much unlike the secret society lots.

Both attachments are exactly the same. Just a bug in the forum makes it show two of the same.

Thank you, just a question or two, when installing this, do I need to delete the characters as well?  Also will this delete the original player sims?
98  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Weivtnasaelp: a reversed Pleasantview on: 2008 March 02, 22:31:46
Grin  it is fun to play this hood.

Don is Donna
Cassandra is Cameron
Mortimer is Margaret
Alexander is Alexandra
Nina is Nico
Dina is Deano
Brandi is Brandon
Dustin is Dusty
Beau is Belle
Daniel is Daniela
Mary-Sue is Matthew
Lilith is Lance
Angela is Aaron

I havent play the other families yet, but its fun.  Change the names either with Insim or Boolprop if you have Free Time.  Once you change the look with make over the thumbnail changes.
99  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Empty and Cleaned-up Templates. [UPDATED] on: 2008 March 02, 22:20:51
I want a clean neighbourhood, but with the sims still in it, just no npc's and etc... just with the families only.  How do I do this.
