   Would there be a simple explanation, of why the Unblock Fridge Tiles option is not showing/hasn't shown for quite a while (several weeks) in my Lot Debugger?   I've got fridges being blocked but the option is not showing.  I have the latest version, Univ/NL/OFB/FFS only.  No Glamor or Pets.

It should. But encouraging is a very slow process and when doing it to visitors, you don't really get any feedback of when to stop.

   Sounds like we need a hack for a progress bar.   Smiley

Ah. Pre-Pets compatibility issue. Doublechecking it.

Not seeing any obvious explanation. Have you updated it to the most recent standalone, or are you using the Pets Director's Cut (which you shouldn't be)?

   Ahh, total confusion here.  In my normal game (complete Download file) and that test game (only those two hacks) i downloaded from the Index of FFS/OFB hacks, under Hack Directory - All Hacks.   http://moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/ofb/hacks/?M=D
   For that test game, should i have gone to each individual hack thread, and downloaded from there?
    I don't download from the Director's Cut, as that would install all hacks and i don't want some of them.

Yes, AutoYak was working until this latest update.   Used LotDebugger under Debug mode and created a long error log.  (Just as the RTFM warns). 
I see the controller. I also see some old Syberspunk phone plugins, which no longer work in Pets. Perhaps those are gumming up the works. You could also simply be lacking a cellphone, or your phone line could be busy due to people trying to spam-call you.

   First off, i obviously need to clear up something.  I don't have Pets, so the Syberspunk phone plugins are correct for me.  The Call/Friends option IS available, but my sims pick the phone up (for those with cell-phones, they bring it up to their ears then put it away, for regular phones, they pick it up, bring it half-way then put it back.   This happens on all lots, no matter the time of day/evening.  Both regular neighborhood and at College lots.  The Call/Friends worked fine, for me, before this latest update at http://moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/ofb/hacks/?M=D
   I just did another try in my test lot, first i removed my Downloads folder to my desktop, created a new Downloads folder.  Re-downloaded the Autoyak and the FFSdebugger.  Went into my game and that lot.   Lot time 8:10 AM.   The adult was once again unable to Call/Friends tho that option is showing.   This test lot only has one table phone, no cell phones. Turned debug mode on, used Lot Debugger to Create Errors/In-World.   I clicked Cancel on the first error, then Reset on all of the rest of the errors.
   If you want me to test it a different way, let me know.  I have Holiday Edition Base Game (last years), Univ/NL/OFB/FFS.
   Are Cell Phones required for this latest update?  One land-line needed for each cell phone?

   My apoligies, i should have been more specific.   I don't want 10 playful, as that (to me) is the main reason stopping meditation.  I love Outgoing sims, active sims and nice sims.  Playful?  6 would be more than satisfactory to me.  Also a 6 or 7 in neatness fits my play style, i can't stand a sim who doesn't flush.   Smiley

Have you updated to the newest version? If so, force an error on something, any random thing, and attach the log so I can see if the controller failed to spawn or something.

The age difference is why grandparents are good for encouraging, but I didn't realise that the number of active points made a difference.  Thanks for that useful fact! 

So am I right that it works if Grandparents invive a grandchild over and encourage them - or is Rainbow right and I'm delusional?  Do personality points earned on another lot stick?

  I too await with baited breath the ultimate decision.  Before, encouraging a 0 or 1 to a 6 was hard enough, as the child was usually low in green/tired/needing to eat and that was satisfactory to me.  Now, if i can have my Permaplat-grandparents invite over a grandchild, i won't have to worry about their moods, and can get some of those personality points to a 10.

   I've seen the 'Used a day of vacation' notice and the 'kaching' one hour before quitting time, tho i'm not sure if the notice is given on days they would normally be off.   I'll have to start paying more attention.   Also, i'll have to try sending my pregnant sims in to work 2 hours before scheduled quitting time, especially those who need the promotion.  That seems to be the best time to still get a days pay/promotion without undue motive decay, any later or much earlier, and they get the 'late for work' notice/hit.
   I'm currently at the start of my Royal Challenge 3rd gen baby explosion, so i have plenty of pregnant sims to test this on.

Did you have an available, non-occupied wallphone? That's kinda necessary for the menu to appear without a cellphone.

   I went to my test-lot, one adult, 2 teens, 1 table phone, no cell-phones.  Gave them a wall-phone.  Direct the adult (who has 4 friends available from 55 to 96 daily relationship) to Call/Friends.  He picks up the wall phone then immediately puts it back.  8:30 AM.   I have base game/Univ/NL/OFB/FFS.  Do not have Glamor/Pets.  He can Call/Sim each of those friends individually.

   After deleting every old/unwanted file i could find, and still having that problem, i removed the entire Downloads Folder to my desktop.   Created a new empty Downloads folder, re-downloaded the autoyak package and started my game.   The autoyak is the only thing in the Downloads folder.   And my sims are still unable to Call/Friends.  They pick up the phone then set it right back down again.  Does Autoyak need another hack to work?  Am i the only one having this problem?

    I had already tried updating her portrature by making her selectable.  All it did was change her profile.   Her picture in the lot list and the large pic of her at bottom of screen are of a different Sim/Outfit.   Forgive the delay, had to find/download Snag-It, then change to a .jpg so i could post a picture on my yahoo page.  (tried Insert Image, but it wouldn't show as Yahoo doesn't acceft .gif files).
   I have never selected her in the past, nor changed her outfit.  This is still a fairly new Neighborhood, in fact only one sim has died, and i was able to successfully plead for his life (several Elders are getting close tho).

   I'm wondering if this is a sign of a BFBVFS coming?   A NPC that one of my YA's matched up with at College, using TJ's matchmaker ball.  Her picture in my YA's relationship display is slightly different features and a waitress outfit, but when she comes over to visit, she's dressed in a Maids outfit.  The Neighborhood isn't that large, 10 starting families and gen 3 is just now being born.  No Pets EP installed, nor Glamour Pack.
   And no, i don't expect an answer saying 'this' or 'that' hack is causing it.  I sneaked a look at her, and she is a newly spawned NPC.  The only relationship she shows, is with my YA.
   I have Pescado's Lot Debugger, the only thing odd showing on that, was under Nuke/Attraction tokens.  That i've never seen before.   When i clicked on it, it said 80-some fixed.

Cats have a strange affinity for can openers that defies the obvious food-based explanation. Because I have never fed my cat canned food, and he has no reason to expect food from a can, but he comes running anyway...not because he expects food, as far as I can tell, but just to watch.

   Hello all, i'm obviously missing a hint/trick.  All of my YA/Knowledge sims that i start out at College, (with the LTW of Max 7 Skills) other than the first few skills, they rarely roll up any more after the first day.  Is there some trick to set their personalities a certain way that i'm missing so that they consistently 'want' to learn new skills, and there-by keep those asperation points rolling in?   I've tried various allocations, serious/active/etc?

   Both Ness and myself reported a problem with installing the most recent updates.   I started removing those hacks, and Dramafix is the problem.   I noticed a reset of all my lots after installing those hacks, both of us reporting inability/jumping when greeting walk-bys/dates at restrarants.
   Upon removing of Dramafix, my lots were once again re-set but now my sims are able to greet walk-bys.

They are all "Bad gosub tree number" errors - also occurred in the podium person at a restaurant - nobody could eat!

So far I've had this error when a sim greets another (involved with walkby, date, invite over), when a teen tries to drive to a community lot (both on date and not on date) and the podium person.

Something is utterly screwed.

   I found the culprit,    ---   Dramafix  ---
I had previously noticed, that when i first updated/installed all of those hacks, that when i went to my game, all lots had been re-set.   At first i thought it was because i had tested to see if i needed any fixes from TS2.   But removing Dramafix caused a re-set in my lots once again, and my sims are now able to greet walkbys once again.   to recap, i updated from Index of /ffs/ofb/hacks, not from the Pets Hacks.   I do not own Pets nor Glamor Pack.

It's not a matter of the action dropping out.

   My apoligies Ness, i didn't mean to infer the action drops off.  Just from my experience, unless the teen is close to the vehicle, i'll get the 'where to' dialogue, and the 'taxi/car' dialogue, but the 'who is going' and the 'where to go' dialogues don't show up unless i manually direct the teen to get in the car to drive to a community lot.  If the teen is in the right placy, all the dialogues show up correctly.  I never knew if that was a bug or just part of the game.

at last!  a response!  I now know I'm not insane!

I've also found I've had a few issues trying to get a teen sim to drive off for a date...  I've updated pretty much the same hacks as you.

  I've only had one teen do a date since installing those updates, no problem tho.  I have in the past found that the teen needs to be fairly close to the vehicle, for the whole 'drive off' to occur.

ok, as I'm a poor, unfortunate aussie, no pets as yet.

I updated my hacks from the OFB directory this evening, and ever since I get an error when a sim greets a walk by.  It's happened twice now.

Error log attached.



   OMG, what a co-incidence, i was just now doing a search on how to create an error log so i could report the exact same error.   Both the greeter and the walk-by 'jump' apart at the end of the greeting, but the walk-by still shows as greetable.
   The only hacks i upgrated since last playing the game were:  I also don't have PETS nor GL.

dailygarderner - (reinstalling to try again, wasn't happy the first time)

  I've had cases in the past, where i've greeted walk-bys and after the greeting, they keep walking and leave (but they HAVE officially been greeted).  This is a residential lot, no home business.

   I've been wondering, why, during phone conversations, when i'm trying to build up daily relationships, i will get a group of only +2 daily (4 or 5 in a row) after the normal +5, switches to +2, then back to +5.  Example, at 40 daily, it starts increasing at +2, then when it hits 50 it'll switch over to +5 again.   Is this just something Maxis throws in to drive me insane?   If yes, is it possible to change it with a hack?   I'm using Autoyak.

I also would like to know of any possible problems.   I really need to move my main Royal Family to a 'more playable' home i've already built them.   I already know i need to do this when everyone is at home (preferably before everyone goes off to work/school.   I've already tested it on a 'throw-away' family, but i only changed the hour/minute, not the day, went thru the entire day and the day changed at midnight correctly.  For the Royal Family, i'll be changing the day from monday to friday, plus moving back time 30 minutes.

   I've had 2 completely invisible sims since re-installing all EP's about a month ago.   The first was a Townie Adult, he became friends with a Founder while the Founder was at College, running a Community Business.   At that point he was visible.  Once the Founder moved to start the Neighborhood, he opened up a home Venue Busn.   I first noticed the Townie was invisible when he complained to the Founder.   I was unable to click on him at all.  He stayed invisible until i eventually managed to move him in and got hime to change his clothes.
   The 2nd completely invisible sim was a playable child who was walking by my lot, i clicked on him to control him 'just' as he reached the portal and was fading out, at that point he returned under my control but was completely invisible and un-interactable.  I quit without saving on that one as he was the Heir to the King and i didn't want to mess him up.
   I have no recolection if that Townie was caught at the Comm Business for shoplifting but it's entirely possible.  I haven't run very many retail busn yet, mainly Venue, which could be why i only had the one.
