You could double your revenue if you also threaten to free cwurts from the Dome too. SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY TWICE to keep both of them in!

Don't lick the tard.
Yuck! Definitely no licking. I bet he doesn't shower regularly enough for licks anyway.

I wonder though... Eurotrash is arrogant, gives bad advice, and is somewhat shouty about it.  Something seems familiar.

I got an interesting Flagrant System Error, which so far has only occurred when using the fixall command while on the home dormitory lot in University.  It is 100% replicable at this location.
For reference, I do not have IP installed, but I am patched to 1.55 with the latest AwesomeMod for this patch level.  It may be relevant that I am also using Twallan's Careers mod (also updated for patch 1.55), considering this FSE looks to be all career related.

Ugh, trying to choose only 4 is hard.  Nice lots by all!

I got down to a list of my favorite 8 (none of them mine, by the way), and tossed coins to choose between them.
30  Awesomeware / Armoire of Invincibility / Re: TOOL: TS3 Recompressor on: 2013 April 30, 17:24:16
If your downloads don't work, then let your sims eat cake!

Anyway, if as you say your downloads worked previously, why decrap?  Did you happen to keep a backup of your downloads prior to decrapifying?  If so, try installing those originals instead. If that works, you can blame the decrapifier.  If not, the problem exists elsewhere.
31  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: remove all puddles on: 2013 April 30, 16:04:07
OK, I'll bite - what removeallpuddles command?

This removeallpuddles command.

rmaddzoo, did you try using the command while in Edit Town mode?  I think that command is meant to affect the entire world, not just the house you're playing.
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, April 2013, TINY lots. on: 2013 April 28, 15:53:35
What's with all this kindness and understanding?  Where do you think you are, MTS?  Grab a sharp stick and start poking!  Angry

I like to think there can exist a reasonable middle ground between "Kittens farting rainbows all day" and "I hate everything! Kill it all with Fire!"

But if you insist...

33  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, April 2013, TINY lots. on: 2013 April 26, 18:20:40
I didn't found this word -"wanding"- anywhere... I tried almost everything to try understanding what means... what is this? (my English don't help me). If someone has a synonym in french or italian... or a simplified explanation, please help me.
Your English is far better than my french or italian.

"Wanding" means using the command "wandhere", added to the list of commands by Awsomemod.  You type this after pressing Ctrl-Shift-C, and it instantly ages everything on the lot to their lowest depreciated value.  The reason Pescado made the command "wandhere" dates back to how he implemented this function in The Sims 2, where he used an actual wand object.
34  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What's the best way to handle memories? on: 2013 April 26, 17:28:04
Twallan's Master Controller has an option to turn off memories as well.
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, April 2013, TINY lots. on: 2013 April 26, 17:21:11
What happens if you install a lot built with several EPs that you don't have? I know that items will be missing but will the lot be broken in some way, so that it brakes the game or family living in the lot?
The only way I can think of that a lot could be broken by missing stuff is if you don't have spiral staircases in your game.  Missing stairs makes it hard to go to other floors in the house.  Otherwise, there shouldn't be a problem.

Custom worlds, however, are a different matter.  But that's not part of this Lot Challenge.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Unhallowed Grounds - 25x25 - Vampire Lounge on: 2013 April 25, 23:20:59
I've been doing some searching on this question.  I don't think it matters how the plants were planted, whether by sim or buydebug.  The plant should be the same either way.  I think it's because the plasma fruit plant isn't available in buydebug, so it's treated as not existing in the game when placing the lot.

Over at Mod The Sims, Sims MX created a mod to add the missing plants. >linky<  He points out that the added plants get treated like CC, and don't appear on shared lots unless the game the lot is being placed in has this mod installed.

Just an oddball bit of borkination, I'd say.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Unhallowed Grounds - 25x25 - Vampire Lounge on: 2013 April 25, 05:01:23
I don't know why, but when I placed this on a lot, the plasma fruit plants were gone.

Not a big deal; I don't need them, and the place is great otherwise.  But it did make me curious how you placed the plants.  Is there a command to spawn them, or did you use a sim with high gardening skill?
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Lot Challenge, April 2013, TINY lots. on: 2013 April 25, 00:38:27
This is my final submission, because I'm flat out of ideas.

Address - 1010 Wizard Tower

As the address may suggest, this is a starter tower for a wizard, on a 10x10 lot.  It follows the 'Cozy Comfortable' color scheme, though I'm not sure either 'Cozy' or 'Comfortable' really apply...

The ground floor consists of an eat-in kitchen.

There isn't much here for entertaining visitors, but that shouldn't be an issue.

"You dare enter the tower of the Great and Powerful Fawlty?!  MOAR TOAD!"

Ehem. Moving on. The kitchen still has an old cooking hearth, but it's not needed, thanks to the upgrade to a wood stove.

Er, maybe someone should explain the concept of a wood stove to Fawlty? Or keep a fire extinguisher handy?

On the second floor is the Apprentices' quarters, complete with the modern marvel of indoor plumbing.  Note, Fawlty does not believe in a minimum age for apprenticeship.

Studies show that regularly sanding and polishing the loo can reduce splinters by as much as 20%.

The third floor is the private chambers for the wizard and his familiar.  This floor also features indoor plumbing.

The top floor is the wizard's study, where the Great and Powerful Fawlty studies old tomes and practices alchemy.  Useful, as Fawlty isn't really so Great. Or Powerful, for that matter.

With a quick cast of the wand here (pun intended) the furnished price is $19,936. Unfurnished is $15,973.

Nothing says "tight-knit community" like close neighbors, and you'll certainly have that with 2015 Trailer Park!  Yes, we parked TWO mobile homes on a 20x15 lot!  With a shared yard and garden between them, you'll be BFFs with your neighbors in no time.
Each of the two mobile home can sleep up to 4 sims plus 1 infant/toddler.  Our special wanded sale price for the set, as shown, is $19,598.  Unfurnished, the price drops to $15,547.

Address - 2015 Trailer Park

Yep, I built 2 houses on 1 tiny lot.

Since it's 2 houses, I used a different color scheme for each. For the first trailer I used 'Fresh Modern', while still looking like a trailer.

The scheme for the second trailer is 'Crisp Coral'.

I deviated a little from the color scheme for the main bedroom though. How could I not include some 'Trailer Trash Tacky'? Tongue

Nah, I think you're right, leave it as is in its entirety. Saying to choose a range of colours will only be unfair to those who designed within the guidelines. I do have a house half-finished, I'm sure I can cope, and it's supposed to be a challenge anyway.

I would have to agree. It's unfair to relax a restriction partway into the challenge.

And that's coming from someone who expects to be heavily dinged on that restriction for my first entry.  Architecturally, my Breeder Shack stays true to the "Cozy Comfortable" color scheme. Everything is done in white, light grey, and light wood tones, except for a splash of color in the master bedroom.  However, I didn't stick to the color scheme on furnishings, throwing together a mismatched ramshackle look instead. Hey, it's a cheap-ass oversized shack.

I'm working on a second entry now, and I promise to pay more attention to the color scheme this time.

...

My suggestion on what on what you are supposed to do is, follow the instructions.  They're quite clear.  And those instructions start with backing up the files before editing, so there's no messing up your game. You just restore the originals to undo the edits.
42  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Links for AM broken? on: 2013 April 12, 16:59:56
The links themselves are not broken.  But I have seen at times this site being slow or unresponsive. Bandwith issues, I suppose.  It might be better if you try again later.

Or you could go to the main page http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com and use the "Free Area" link. This brings you to the downloads directory for the server. Go to ts3/base and you can grab awesome.zip from there.  I've found this way often still works when the forums are timing out on me.

Meh, why build a house that only holds 3 sims?
With that in mind, I present The Breeder Shack (address 1510 Breeder Shack Alley)!

*real estate sales voice*
Yes, this highly affordable and versatile starter home, sitting on a spacious 15x10 lot, sleeps an amazing TEN sims, plus three infants or toddlers!  Featuring not only the basic amenities, but also a wide range of entertainment items, your sims will never be at a loss for something to do.  Best of all, the landscaping is not only attractive but also practical, being garden plants! (Please note, we here at Cyberdodo Realty make no warranty against damage due to zombie attacks).  Our special wanded sale price for this beauty, as shown, is a mere $14,670!  Unfurnished, the price drops to under $11,000.

This contest is open to anyone, even 'dome residents.

On behalf of the two Dome residents, I must ask, is this a reprieve from their doming, or do we go look in the Dome for their entries?  Also, what about the Canned?
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Town full of elders? on: 2013 April 05, 01:23:07
To be fair, Toastboy, rtfm.txt does not explain what's different between EA Story Progression and AwesomeMod Story Progression, so an answer of "RTFM' doesn't really offer much.  Also, there hasn't been a recent discussion on it, much less anything specific on too many elders, for "Lurk Moar" to offer much either.

The short answer is, when using AwesomeMod's story driver, families can't procreate if there aren't enough cribs and beds in their lot to support the offspring.  To prevent elder-only worlds, add cribs and bunk beds to every house.

In the meantime, to avoid restarting your Legacy game, why not create some new spouse-to-be sims in CAS?
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Uni Life Thread on: 2013 April 01, 16:08:11
I finally got around to installing Uni, and looked around the campus a little.

My first impression is that whoever designed the dorms must not have ever seen an actual college dormatory.  They'd be more appropriate as greek houses.  The dorm in the middle of campus fits in, so I think I'll convert it into a student lounge with a bar, band stage, Showtime stage, and laundry.  As for the two far corner dorms, I'll either gut the interiors and rebuild, or just bulldoze and replace.

Speaking of greek houses, I do like the Fraternity and Sorority houses, but both are decorated much too expensively.  I'll have to redecorate using mismatched Kewian-Based Substitutes for the proper student shabby look.

Not a bad idea, though I think there's already a tool for doing that somewhere.

Oh, you might not need that bullseye if you had posted this in the "Awesomemod Request Thread" thread.  Just a hint.

Nope. It's still there.  But this is a nice, easy to read, and concise explanation on why to read "FAQ -- READ THIS BEFORE POSTING" before posting.

This should be stickied too.

Oh, before I forget..

The roommates feature is pretty cool. Until they all stand in your bedroom listening to some twat play guitar.
That sounds fairly realistic. Though in a real dorm they'd be very drunk too.

I have to ask though, does this expansion require Origin?
50  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE MUNICIPALITY NEEDS YOU! SUPPORT THE MUNICIPALITY! on: 2013 February 16, 02:23:25
The last time around, I supported the Municipality by convincing someone to buy me my cool avatar.  It worked well once, but the tactic is not readily repeatable.

Maybe I'll think of another way to annoy someone into spending money on my behalf.
