TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to make Sims have nightmares?
|

For anyone who's curious, here's a picture of a sim having a nightmare: Generally a sims tosses and turns, then sits up and pants with the jagged thought bubble. Then they go back to sleep. However, a very long time ago, I had sims wake up from nightmares, get out of bed, and cry. However, this was after a bad breakup and may have been two seperate actions that simply looked like they belonged together.

I've no problems with inteenimator anymore. 1h is very stable indeed. It also comes in very handy for fixing Maxoid broken Sims.
Except for the stupid Gypsy who always recommends adults for my teens and vice versa, but that's more of a Maxoid issue.
This is caused by inteenimator. In the regular game, the Gypsy will not set up adults with teens. Back on subject, I would like an objects like this as well. I have a bad habit of using template faces, so my sims keep "discovering" relatives in college. Until I quit the game and use SimPe all the long lost adopted brothers and such keep making the "hot" gesture at each other!

Yeah, it's not the Maxoids who were smoking something, it's the creators of Iron Chef. Here's a pic: The top level of the culinary career is something like "The Iron Cook" so it's a joke about Iron Chef. I'm sure they wanted to model the outfit after the host, who wears really bizarre outfits, with beaded gloves and metalic capes. But as we saw with the vampires, Maxoids haven't been able to develop a good cape.

8/2/2/9/6
Wow, I am not an 8 in neat. I'm sitting on my couch, and right at my feet there's a piece of aluminum foil with scraps of canned cat food on it. I fed the cats a treat two hours ago, and haven't cleaned up yet.
So, that is not an 8!
Shy and lazy look ok. 9 for playful...I don't know. I guess it depends on what you call playful. Can you "play" when you're super lazy?
I would say I'm a little nicer than a 6, but I'm willing to let that one go. It could just be self-perception, you know? I want to think I'm nice...
But there is definitely something weird with that neat score!

Here's an interesting variation. One of my outgoing sims left the dorm fully clothed. When he got to the community lot he was in his topless pajamas. So I guess he stripped off in the taxi! Wow, that's very outgoing!
He's the same one who showed up at his brother's dorm in pajamas. I guess I shouldn't bother to ever dress him.

I'm going to buy it, but I won't install it until I learn how many characters it adds. If it will put me over the 800 character mark, I won't be able to install it until some fixes are created. I hope it won't add too many characters, but I don't hold out much hope. Sigh.

One of my sims goes to class every day in his pajama bottoms, topless. I think he's trying to impress the teachers.
I had him call his brother at another dorm. The brother showed up in pajama bottoms! I thought, you two really are brothers. So it seems outgoing sims at Uni really love their nightwear.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Marriage In a Church Would be Nice

I'm curious what would happen if you built a church on a residential lot with a live-in minister. You could teleport in the participants, then use the mind control mirror to get one of them to initiate the wedding.
I may have to experiment with this. Oddly enough, none of my sims has gotten married yet. Hmmm.
I really think Maxis is missing a lot of money by not making a wedding expansion. I think that would sell incredibly well.

The best party in my game was when two sims who were in love were invited to a party. They spent the whole time hugging each other and making out. None of the sims throwing the party interacted with them at all, but the party got a great rating. I thought it was hilarious. Darkstormyeve - if you like formals, get Inge's door that changes every one into formals: http://www.simlogical.com/I love it. You could use it as the bathroom door, so everyone would change back to formal wear. I only have it on the front door, which lead to the funny situation of guests being in formals and family members being in pajamas. But I kind of like that.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Females can't plan outfits, males can
|
on: 2005 August 01, 07:57:56

This is a new problem, and it's really odd. In two different lots, the males can "plan outfit" and the females can't. It doesn't matter how many outfits a female has, she can't "plan outfit." I tried this with several different females, then used the mind control mirror to try it on Townies. Same result.
I've searched several forums, and other people have this problem, but no one has an answer. So I came here for an answer. Where is my answer!!!
Ahem. Is there any chance the lot debugger may work on this? From some of the posts I read, it may be a problem that happens on some lots and not others.

TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: sickness indicator?

(Off topic) I had that happen with two sims. They ate spoiled food when visiting and got sick.
I left them like that for a while, and they would drop by to visit and alternate throwing up. Then another sim went into aspiration failure, and would beg at the street. For some reason these three sims showed up at other houses A LOT. I thought it was really funny. In my sim world it wasn't a party without lots of vomiting and begging.
(On topic) Wasn't there a medicine cabinet hack somewhere that told you if a sim was sick? Or did it only tell if the sim was pregnant? It might do what some of you want.

One of my sims joined a greek house. One of the founding members of the house immediately started making fun of him...for joining the greek house. I found that very strange and funny. "Ha ha, you joined our greek house! What a loser!"

This is a very useful thread. I wonder if I could ask a more specific question?
I stupidly added a second university to my Pleasantville. I haven't visited this new university yet. Has it generated Townies?
If it has, can they safely be deleted? I've heard Townies visit from one university to another. In this case, Townies from the new university may have interacted with my sims.
