I type fast and loose, and I edited that post a couple times but the edits didn't show, so you get the raw love of my sloppy typing.

Sims 3 has a simulator that runs, evaluating the various input conditions and producing output conditions.  Most parsers/simulators have a static value somewhere that says: "how long do we let a given method/function run before we stop it?", that's called MAX_EVAL in some places, so I used that name for shorthand.

I don't know why this is happening.  I wish I did.  I suspect that something is in a loop, either self-referencing, bad references or loops... What we really lack is a way to break the program and ask it wtf it is hung up on. That would help isolate stuff.

The shift key exists for a reason. Use it.

I had that problem before with one of my sims, only with a pink flamingo instead of a pterodactyl.
Resetsim fixed it for me but as I don't have apartment life it might be a bit different for you

Fixed! I cleared all of the caches and got rid of all of my CC except awesomemod and it works now. I think it was the hidden trait enabler from MTS2 that was doing it.

Oh, my sim does it and it appears to work fine but there is no mummy. I then tried it again about five times and on the sixth time all of these elders turned up at my house and got added to the portraits but they (like yours) had mummy names like "King Hapseshut III" I've tried to try it with different sims, different neighborhoods, and even reverting to a save before i assembled the sarcophagus but it doesn't work. Please help because I really want a mummy

I tried to "droptrait" the mummy trait from one of the elders but it said they didn't have it, so something in my game is majorly borked.
Thats interesting that it didn't use any canopic jars on yours. Did yours do the animation where it comes out of the sarcophagus? Mine did but nothing came out and then an elder turned up

Same, I got the mummy bug too. I tried it on both the light and the dark Pharaohs sarcophagus but always ended in the same result. lost a whole lot of canopic jars that way

Actually, there are lots of tombs with underground plants in them. When doing the Egypt main quest i ran into several, namely the tomb of the burning sands which had flame fruit, the tomb of the desert oasis which had life fruit and money trees, and the basement hidden by the boulders in the Landgraabs Villa. You can just do it by typing "buydebug" into the cheat console after typing "testingcheatsenabled true" and going to the plants/seed spawners category of the new debug category
