1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 26, 07:49:16
I've been having troubles with groups and vampires. I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, so...

Several of my sims are friends with or dating vampires. If they invite the vampire to their home lot, a group is automatically formed. Then, the second that the vampire arrives at the lot, he/she decides that they are incredibly bored and very literally turns right around and leaves. Even if I have my sim out on the sidewalk waiting for them, I don't have time to interact with them.

This never happens with non-vampires when they are invited over, or if I invite a vampire out. However, it's incredibly annoying.

I just encountered a hilarious, if rather annoying, glitch.

One of my Sims cooked something on the stove. The stove caught fire. They put the fire out. As soon as the fire was out, a fire started on the floor. They put that fire out, and another fire started elsewhere on the floor in the same room. After repeating this 27 times, I just exited to the main screen. Endless fire - that's hot.

Update: Exiting to the main screen stopped whatever was causing that, and I was able to put the fire out. However, I now have a firefighter in my kitchen that won't leave. Oh, well.

I can't suggest a fix, but I have to say that the same thing happened to me. I had a sim give birth to seven kids before she was done. Though my babies did show up. I'm pretty sure that's not normal, but I don't know the cause or how to fix it.

Yep. Sure did.

I am totally patched! Everything is up to date and happily installed, patched, prayed over and has had things sacrificed to it.

I've installed CAW, but whenever I click it to start it up it immediately crashes and says it's not responding. I'd love to use CAW, but if I can't even get it to start up, I'm not sure how I can manage.

Was it a custom hair? makes me think maybe if it was, the Repo man categorized it the same as any other object that could be taken away. However that wouldn't explain why the couch didn't disappear at all, although I've seen so many strange things in this game that nothing much should surprise me. Except maybe Zazazu's freako baby/toddler.  Smiley

It was, indeed. It was quite amusing. I love the occasional glitches. Usually. Stuff like this just brightens my day because it's so silly.

Holy crap, Zazazu - that is incredibly creepy!

Well, I don't need a fix for this, per se... but I'd love to know why the heck it happened.

Earlier tonight, my Sims forgot to pay their bills, and the repo man showed up. He walked into the kitchen, whipped out his little gun thing, aimed it and fired. My sim lady was in the way, and freaking out, but I figured he was aiming for the chairs. This wouldn't be at all unusual or problematic, if he had actually repoed the chair. Instead, very amusingly, he repoed my Sims hair. As soon as he turned and walked out of the room, nothing had vanished but my Sim that had been in the way of his gun was sporting a completely random hairstyle.

He also tried to repo the couch later, which also did not disappear - I'm guessing my repo man is just screwed up, but I have to admit that it was kind of hilarious. Is there a way to get my repo man working right, or has anyone else had this happen?

Oh, and I DO have a screenshot:

My computer is more than able to handle Sims 3, heh. I build and repair computers. All of my patches are up to date, and I've never used SupremeCommander. I do have some mods in, but I've tried taking all of them out and still had it happen. It's really quite annoying, since I can't pinpoint the cause.

Airilina - No, I can't scroll. That's what happens with my game, except I can't confirm cars because none have been close to my sims houses when it happens.

If it's just lag, will the game finally catch up after a while? I waited a half hour the other day before closing it out.

A bizarre bug has struck my Sims game, and there seems to be no single thing that triggers it.

Everyone in the game freezes. They simply stop moving, and I am unable to click anything in the game. Normally, when it freezes, the entire game stops. With this? It's like someone off screen just yelled at them to stop what they were doing - because everything else keeps going. Music keeps playing, birds keep flying, time keeps passing, the trees are blowing in the breeze - my sims have just come to a complete standstill.

I'm running the latest version of AM, as well as WA. I've not had this problem crop up before, so I'm kind of baffled. Has anyone else had this happen, or know a way to fix it? Because I have to completely kill the program and play from the previous save, it's annoying. It's happened in two separate games now, so I have no clue what is going on.

I went and checked, Sam does not have the Mooch trait. So back to square one with why he's being a live in annoyance.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Multiple Problems with Teens on: 2009 December 06, 02:03:35
lol. I honestly didn't think of that! The lazy boyfriend is Sam Sekemoto, and I have no clue what his traits are!
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Multiple Problems with Teens on: 2009 December 06, 01:26:09
I've got two problems with some teens in one of my homes. I have AwesomeMod installed but no major other mods.

Firstly, in the home, I have two separate families living together. Each of the families has two kids. They're not related. At all. Yet, one of the moms counts all of the kids as hers. Every single one shows up as "Son" or "Daughter", even the ones that aren't hers. The other mom just claims her own kids. This isn't really causing any problems, but it's kind of strange. She gets bonuses for all the things parents normally get for their kids (i.e., when they learned to walk and talk, and getting on honor roll) and such. Her kids count her as mom, the other kids don't. I have no idea what happened. Any ideas?

Secondly, one of the teen daughters in the family is very attached to her boyfriend. I'm beginning to think that he might be a bit -too- attached to her, though. He comes home with her every night after school, sleeps on the couch, showers and eats at her house and then goes to school with her in the morning. Every. Night. I've tried asking him to leave, and every trick I know of, but he seems to have decided to "move in" without actually moving in. How do I get him to stop?

I've been using the add trait to correct the problem, but it's still annoying. And yep, I teach them all three. o.o; It's baffling.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / My Sim Babies Hate Life. on: 2009 August 08, 18:20:24
Alright, I've got a weird problem. No matter how dilligent I am with caring for my sims babies, or how well taken care of they are or how high their motives are when they age up... I ALWAYS get a "Due to a difficult up bringing, you will not be allowed to select a trait for _________."

Similar things happen with my kids and teens, even if they have A+ grades at school and maxed motives. Has anyone else had this happen or know what might be causing it or a possible fix? It's not terribly major, I guess, but it is very annoying.
