@ piratesforlunch: Did you have Supreme Commander enabled for any sims in your saved game?If so,this may be the reason that you cannot play it without Awesomemod.Try starting a new neighbourhood and see if that works. I've never enabled it, but this time before I started up my game I removed the awesomemod and the .dll file (I had never removed the .dll file before) and at least I got the loading screen. It froze though. Is that some improvement? I'm definitely not a computer person. Thanks Are you deleting all saved games and custom content when you uninstall? Because you should be.

I had this problem, too, but I thought it was something to do with my family consisting of a single teen. Or occasionally a single toddler. I don't bother with empty lots that often, so I haven't noticed if it occurs in Sunset Valley, or even if having adults in the family changed things.

I, personally, either move all my custom content into an empty recycling bin or just rename the Packages folder and create an empty one beneath it. Maybe it's just still detecting it for some odd reason. Did you remember to delete your cache files? I admit I don't know exactly when it's appropriate to do so, but I think this is a case when it is.

Did you try uninstall/reinstall? Sometimes crashes can be caused by something not installing properly. Otherwise, just go through your mods one by one. I had a life fruit mod that was working fine one minute. Downloaded a new version of Awesomemod, and suddenly it was conflict city. Couldn't even start playing because it crashed on loading. IS Mod Checker was still reading no conflicts, but the second I took out that life fruit mod, everything went back to normal.

I downloaded both and deleted the cache and put the downloads into hacks- it didn't work. I then moved it outside the mod package and deleted the cache-still didn't work. Not sure what I'm missing.
No, don't move it outside the Mods folder. Just the Hacks. Should be in Mods/Packages.

Did you write it as "mods/packages"? Because it's case sensitive, as I recall. Try "Mods/Packages" and see if that helps. Minus the quote marks, of course.

This is a rare condition that manifests when you use Awesomemod for too long. In order to get rid of it, you have to light four black candles and ask the Goddess of Expiration Dates to drive the demons from your computer.
Or, you know, you could just start checking the download topic every couple hoursdays for updates.
