1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 May 20, 13:45:33
"Use Bathroom" command causes the Sim to pick a shower/ bath combo that doesn't exist on their home lot, causing them to run away from the home lot for a few seconds, then drop the command after, then once again the game selects the shower /bath combo, then drop the command again. Toilets work fine.
Never seen this before, and I've stress-tested it on some pretty degenerate-case neighborhoods, like Egypt. Is there anything unusual about your neighborhood, your lot, or the chosen target object?

I've recently switched from an EAxian (Barnacle Bay) neighborhood to a custom neighborhood. No bugs in Barnacle Bay, but it seems that sims like to pick community lot showers than home lot showers in the custom neighborhood. It's a small annoyance, really, so I'm not too bothered.

Still no Axe. Can't think of any other solution, except get one from BuyDebug.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Some tombs do reset... However... on: 2010 January 23, 08:18:09
The placeable versions of the Pango axes are not real Pangu axes, but actually Pangu Axe Spawners. The actual item does not spawn until you have it as a quest.
I have the quest, I got the key, saw the Axe wasn't there (you see it from another ledge), but went until the end anyway. Pango did not appear, though I do have the original copy in another family. So my theories about this are: 1) no two Pangu axes can exist in the game, 2) Wait 'till it spawns, as you said, 3) cancel and accept the quest again, or 4) game is really borked. Will keep testing until I find out what happened.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Some tombs do reset... However... on: 2010 January 23, 08:06:21
This is really stupid. The Adventure-required tombs which contain tomb signets, Pangu's Axe, etc. are reappearing, and the traps were reset, doors were closed, etc, though anything that has been solved are kept visible. However, the one-of-a-kind prizes (such as the axes and signets) don't reappear. When I looked at build/buy in the Temple of Heaven, however, Pangu's Axe was there, but when in Live Mode, it disappears. Perhaps EA really made it so that tombs can reset, but made a crappy job and forgot to reset the TREASURES in them?

Any bugs seen when using this with a 2.3 patch?
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Update Coming & The Sims 3 Create a World Tool (A.K.A Trouble Alert?) on: 2009 December 10, 13:56:41
The Horror, The Horror!
I say no to Shop Mode. The launcher is a slow enough piece of utter crap when installing items, then now they're inciting you to buy and download while running the game? Expect to see more errors and crap.
Create-A-World, however, will be greatly appreciated. I can finally make a small neighborhood like our tiny rural.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Options/Sims Toolbar is gone on: 2009 December 10, 11:03:42
That happened to me too, though it was brought about by a doomed corrupted save.
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Are AS sacreds supposed to age? on: 2009 December 07, 09:42:43
I would also like to know, but for now I just take them into CAS and make them young again.  Click control C and type "edit sim" in the window.
Pudding Factory has a safer alternative: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,16983.0.html
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Well, well, THIS is a surprise... on: 2009 December 03, 11:50:21
For some reason, I can't help but agree with Pescado... I don't need to "throw around"/ splurge money to enjoy life. I can always get my guitar, play a little tune, cook a nice dinner (like my favorite food), or draw/watch anime. And whenever the going gets tough, all I think is that I just need to work harder. That's it.

If Snooty Sims has the correct information, this stuff pack is a 10th Anniversary pack and includes three items from the former Sims games, the heart-shaped vibrating bed, the electric guitar, and the aquarium.  How much you want to bet the electric guitar will play the same songs as the acoustic guitar plays, and the aquarium will still only hold one fish.

That will immediately stop me from ARR!ing this. An electric guitar is very, very different from an acoustic one.

"Sims classic"

"CLASSIC" Objects? If you want those, how about the Portable Potty from the Sims: Makin' Magic (which can be extremely useful now), or the Chemistry Set in Livin' Large, or the Rodeo thing in House Party (great animation)? Sure the Chemistry Set is now illegal and isn't considered a toy anymore, but if you want objects that have been attached to The Sims 1 since the early days, why not re-create those?

OR THE DIVING BOARD!? IS THAT NOT A CLASSIC!?
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Loading Screen Crash on: 2009 December 03, 10:57:00
i have patch 1.0.631.00107.

Noob.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Crash to desktop on: 2009 December 03, 10:54:03
First I moved the userPresets.package from "My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\" to a safe place (desktop).

Where exactly is this file? I can't seem to find it, even with search.

I am also having the CTD that occurs when the loading bar fills up to full. However, before that I played 1 session without any bugs. After that, it just CTDs over and over. Reinstall, re-patch, re-framework does not work.

EDIT: I am suspecting 1.7 patch is causing this. When I first patched, my internet got cut then download failed, but the cursed manager reported 'updated.' I connected again then did a proper patch, with the confirmation from the TS3 program that it has been patched. That may be it. I will try to re-install and re-patch one last time.

EDIT2: Forget the patch error, Pescado made another of his Stealth Hi-Bye update and AwesomeMod now works again. I will do more testing for bugs then.
13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Are AS sacreds supposed to age? on: 2009 November 28, 22:39:17
Oh, so it's supposed to work like that. Thank you very much, Mr. Pescado.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Are AS sacreds supposed to age? on: 2009 November 28, 22:26:10
Hi! A small question from someone who recently switched to awesomestory from IS: are sacreds supposed to age even if they're immune to progression? The sacred sims are aging, but I don't want that since my sister and I want certain characters to stop aging. However, they are immune to progression, I've noticed.
If bless does not stop aging, is there another command that will force certain households to stop aging, or should I switch back to IS/ use another driver for manual age control?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Interest Check: New 'Hood on: 2009 October 17, 02:10:43
-Would you play in a town that had a base town's geography but a unique set of sims and goofy lots?
EDIT: Oh you used Sunset Valley already. That's OK. However, PLEASE don't destroy the Beautiful Vista lots- it makes lots interesting.

-Would you care if sims had biographies or didn't?
Maybe not all of them.

-Would you care if there were only ~10 families in the 'hood to start? Would you rather that there were ~10 specifically tailored households with nifty stories and then a handful of filler characters for random mutilation and reproduction?
I would prefer no filler characters at all. That way, we have a town where we're interested to see what actually happens to them, not just some randomness. Having less 'nifty' characters are much better than having a flood of filler characters. I also recommend that you use AwesomeMod traits.

-Would you think that references to Heart of Darkness and/or Apocalypse Now were amusing?
Sure, reference as much as you want.

-Would you actively search for easter eggs and interesting drama/relationships?
That depends. I will scour the town at game start, but if the bonuses are too hidden, then maybe I won't look.

-Would anybody be willing to document legacies or adventures in the new town as post-release advertising, potentially showing off some of the easter eggs and funny drama?
I do. Don't expect me intervening with their actions though.

There's new rabbit hole 'Signs' in Puddingland- technically, they are rabbit-hole buildings, but the size has been changed into a small sign, allowing you to make a new building, but having it work as a rabbit hole building. That might help you.

I'm rather excited for this new neighborhood. I'll be waiting for your creation.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cleaning Sunset Valley of Inhabitants ??? on: 2009 October 08, 12:52:00
I definitely recommended Pescado's "destoryallhumans" command. Filesize in Riverview became, 25 megs, I think, and still all of the lots were intact.
The problem however is that the game will try to populate as fast as it can, so population balloons with Homeless. The fast solution is destroyalltownies, which seems to work for me.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: New rabbitholes on: 2009 October 08, 12:41:59
What the hell was jared_smithson's wall of text? Huh
Anyway, I tried to use the signs. Happily abolished the City Hall for a smaller town hall. I discovered that the "entry point" spawns in different places, but it's always beside the sign. So you can make a sign, have its entry point not behind it (but not directly behind the sign), and then place a door (like in the screenshot at the site) beside it. What happens is that the sims will enter the door before disappearing. Neat.  Cheesy
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: OH NOES BFBVFS on: 2009 October 08, 12:15:56
Thanks for showing me what the happens when you cause it to explode. Now my curiosity is satisfied.  Grin
So uhm... would she be able to get her game back, or it's permanently Shish-Kaboom?
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 was to include weather. on: 2009 September 19, 12:47:39
I would also like to point out that EA stated once that The Sims 3 base game will have weather. If I recall correctly, there was a picture showing rain, with a sim looking up doing the "it's raining!" reaction like the one in TS2.

Wikipedia still shows a shred of this promise:
Quote
Every lot is now synchronised with the main neighborhood time. Before, time of day and weather were different in each lot and would continue off from the last time it was played.

Curse those money-hungry executive meddlers.

(Edited many times to keep it short and simple)
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: When do new families move in? on: 2009 September 07, 11:42:43
This may sound kinda obvious, but are you sure that you have cheap houses with beds and a fridge? Without those thing Sims will not inhabit the house. Make sure it's cheap (below 15k is the best) so that starting families can move in.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Hatchet Falls: Sunset Valley, Redefined on: 2009 August 22, 12:58:02
First: THANKS, THIS IS GREAT!
Next: Do you plan to make more of these interesting neighborhoods? I've been reading your custom neighborhood tutorials/ stuff and there's a lot of potential things you can do/mess with, such as Montague vs. Captulets feuds (of course, this is more focused on the Sims themselves rather than the buildings, though the families can own the buildings...) so I'm wondering if you can make more... I'll definitely have fun playing them!
BTW: I love your Motel and Church.
EDIT: Just making sure the Grammar Police won't arrest me.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My whole experience of TS3 patching problem (kind of a guide) on: 2009 August 06, 10:06:07
Finally managed to patch using EA download manager. Whew. I only figured out now that it won't need online CD Key registration. Stupid me.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My whole experience of TS3 patching problem (kind of a guide) on: 2009 August 01, 14:04:17
Veronica, I'm trying out your way to patch to 1.3, but I fail. I can't get to update 1.2 -> 1.3. The invalid file format error occurs, plus no update appears at the launcher.
There is the possibility that my 1.3 isn't EU (which is my version), so I will try that... tomorrow.
For now, no AwesomeMod though.

EDIT: I found out using Deplhy's PatchLogViewer that code_version.txt is not updated! Can a good soul post whatever is in their code_version so I can copy it?
Mine is:
description=Version: 0.DL-0.0.11195  Changelist: 625803
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My whole experience of TS3 patching problem (kind of a guide) on: 2009 August 01, 12:03:57
Can't we just use AwesomeMod as a replacement to the No-CD Crack on v1.3?
