Yes, stupid always does breed.

The 'main' players on this web site (excluding Pescado and a few others), those that continually show how self centered and mean spirited they are with a desperate need to put others down, are proof: stupid always breeds.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Im New and im Confused. on: 2013 March 08, 16:23:26
Oh look, some more of the same 'lets be nasty ppl'....

First: so the kid doesn't know anything. Asking questions and getting answers is how one learns and everyone here has gone thru it someplace. Throwing fucked up hateful crap at the kid for ASKING is ridiculous and simply mean. ONE post directing the poor kid would have sufficed. OR you coulda scrolled on by.

And second: Starler said "ETA: Also, I extend a preemptive welcome to retardo land. It is where both your idiotic threads will be once poofs gets to them."

So with, it's rather obvious that the noob simply doesn't know what retardoland is hence thought it meant his posts would be deleted.

Try THINKING, all of you!
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch - 1.47 on: 2013 January 11, 01:59:10
Thank you, jesslla for the answer. I'll wait for more confirmation though. Why? Because unlike you and your oh so mature and nice name calling ways, I am not one to ASSume. Apparently you are. Whatever..asshole..

And you, bitterguill: thank you so much for your very good and comprehensive answer and for not being another way too common dickhead found on this site (all priding themselves on being tough and mean, but then let somone dish it back at 'em and whoa! watch them whine!) I'll check that out. I just got Sims 3 and I've got a ton of catchup to play. The name Nonamena is one of the new ones I've learned already from over at Inge's place.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch - 1.47 on: 2013 January 10, 21:26:10
yeah, blah blah blah, we know, but how is the patch treating everyone that has actually installed it? Or in other words: do I dare install it? How many have?
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 31, 03:01:48
like i didn't...

nevermind--I haven't asked anything out of line or that I haven't googled endlessly for days--4 to be exact. No 'handholding was asked for--just answers. read first post. but that's ok cuz NEVERMIND--you lot make the game miserable. you care more about thinking yourselves 'clever' and 'smart' than actually sharing or helping other simmers. a look around the threads tells outsiders that....

i'd rather just do without the AM--awesome though it is and though Pescado is...too much work to 'get along' with you minon hangers on [read trying to rub each and every personality type the 'right' way--whatever that might be for the day....] just get a simple answer. screw that...

have a happy new year....

caps intentional removed Smiley

Ok.

What is a PEBCAK?
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2011 December 31, 02:24:36
I've read the last 10 days worth of posts, don't see anything in here about this: vanilla AM loads game fine (No CD check working), a modified one does not. And no, I did not change the No CD check. Left it enabled. Deleted cache files.

What else stupid could I be doing wrong?
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 31, 01:27:41
Well that's nice, Jeremycraig, well thought out too. You should be so proud.

Ok. Something is still wrong. A modified AM is not working. Sad Going to go post over in the bug thread.....
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 30, 23:48:20
Ah, capitals it is then. Thank you for the explaantion. I am a terrible typist so I apologize before hand and I do know how to use the edit button. So gald it's there Smiley

And I can see KT has reached his/her limit for my obvious moronic-ness already. Have to laugh at that...Smiley

As for the package files and framework etc:

The Mods folder is as it should be for 1.29 .exes--as you show in the pic without the other files you use.... The AM was placed where the no-intro hax was, in packages. Did not work. I have tried it in ALL the above mentioned places, deleting cache files each go. Have tried it with the no-intro and without the no intro in case there is some conflict. Have no idea why it isn't working. I'm missing something somewhere...

Going to redownload the AM AGAIN.... I read the RTFM and as I read it the default is the no CD is enabled. Is that right?

I really really appreciate the help. Please don't give up on me yet?

EDIT: I did two things at once: new AM and put one copy in each place (total of three) lol But it WORKS!! lol. (Gonna guess it was several bad unzips or DLs of the AM?) Whatever, it's working now and I now have my many questions answered (like I wasn't even sure where the thing went! Now I am) So THANK YOU very much! Happy New Year to you.
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 30, 22:07:33
no =---intro does work. Smiley so that's not the problem.

I'm not sure I'm sticking it in the right place! Or if it matters. Where should it be: packages or override or outside with the .cfg file?

I'm not at all sure what you mean--use the shift key?
11  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 30, 21:52:04
oo thank you for the reply! However, been there done that....and that is  Sad how/where I installed the framework, yep yep...keep trying pleasE? no doubt it is something moronic I've just missed..... ?

Ps: just checked the update again--says that Fast Lane Stuf is only at 5.4 and is now instaling to 5.8--but all else is ok.

You think that'd stop the AM from working? (a yes would be great....)

EDIT: Ok, updated all, reinstalled 1.29 just in case, deleted caches, nada... Sad  What am I missing......

12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2011 December 30, 21:13:01
Ah...I think my question and your answer need to be under this heading for future behind the times searchers like me...so yeah.. I LIKE dead things....go ahead and poke me with the stick, call me names it's all ok...just please answer?

I'm way late to the party. Got Sims 3 and all expansion packs for Xmas, got them loaded AND working and patches to 1.29 and all EPs patched to their most current (what FUN that was--but hey it IS an EA product....)

HAVE to have the Awesome Mod or the game isn't worth playing--only it's not getting recognized... Sad  can NOT for the life of me figure out what is wrong--

Have the latest framework in place in My Docs
have tried AM in both packages and in Overrides
Have deleted the cache files
Have tried both a vanilla AM and a modifed AM

Can't even get the game to recognize the No CD part.

Help?

Oh yeah, PS: no other CC installed.

13  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: 1.4 patch is now out on: 2009 August 07, 21:54:42
Should we take a poll to find out how many of us are here because the Sims2 jump bug led us to Pescado?

Easy answer: every one of us. And we stay because it takes a Pescado to fix the many many bugs and to make the game any good. Always has, always will- evidently.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2009 June 22, 17:01:48
Me too: I have to google and find out how to open it if I can....simple nosiness, actually.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 May 15, 14:45:11
The more I see player reviews, the more curious I get about the damn thing.

Sucker.

Side note: Sony profits are down Smiley (HELLO! Can you say 'Securom'? I won't buy anything Sony. Appears others feel the same way.)

Sony. Bony.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 April 08, 15:54:23
Yeah, I meant more than the people who already do. lol I didn't start until after BV. SecuROM broke my DVD burner and it cost me as much as the game to replace it, so I haven't bought a Sims game since. I just save my money and buy Wii games instead.

Ditto. I try before I buy these days and so far, most software is failing: not worth keeping the free version.

It'd be nice if TS3 had a finger slider but that would mean they had some creativity, which they don't. The face sliders appear to be greatly disappointing--the reviews I've read and the pics I've seen, all the sims look the same, some fatter than others. Sad, what a waste.

I'm really hoping some up and coming company thinks 'we can do this better' and makes a swell adult version of the Sims.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Should Bigfoot be a walkby/community lot visitor? on: 2008 March 19, 17:13:31
Is there a hack that will make the game grab playables instead of npcs for these contests, and for that matter nayplace else where a playable works just as good as or better instead of npcs? (hate npcs....)
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How to get rid of SecuRom, NOW on: 2008 March 08, 18:23:59
Sariah, been there, Smiley done that.

I had to re-install Nero which meant I also had to first remove Nero, which turned into a huge task because it would not remove--had to do it manually. I learned a lot about my registry that time.

So try that, remove Nero, and hopefully you won't have to do it manually like I did, then reinstall it.

I am still pissed off at EA for putting that crap on my pc unannounced and then for their very bad response on it. I will never buy another product of theirs, not that I want the crap anyway. But I do want to finish out the Sims2 Eps which means I wil  ARR it. The money they lose to me I will consider repayment for my drive and labor. Smiley
19  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2008 January 07, 16:06:20
I tried the Dl and itwas fine for me so it must be at your end somewhere. Try again?

I wish I could just post them here too, especially now that they have been DLed over a 100 times and the only reported issues have been those reported here which have in the end not been due to the lots. They seem safe enough to me! But I have promised not to do that as Mootilda is worried about them corrupting game files. She's the lead on this one. Until she gives some definition of 'what is safe enough to release to the general public' and the lots meet that I am obligated to adher to my agreement.

I've been curious: has anyone seen lots made with them posted anywhere? (It dawns on me at this late date that there are no restrictions on someone else posting them.   Lips sealed)
20  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2008 January 06, 04:05:14
Try again.
21  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2007 December 31, 15:21:06
Weird.

Try http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=251392 get the revealer and the buyable portals. (BTW--you can add people portals to sides or back of lots--anywhere you want- and sims will use them. Gives a more realistic experience.

EDIT: I happened to have an empty beach lot that had been occupied and I had moved her in with a guy and his daughter on another beach lot. I made a new guy and a dog and moved them in to the empty--it worked just fine (so far anyway a sim day of play) no issues.

Do it again! Move a sim out of a beach lot and another in and see if you can swim there.

Has anyone else moved sims in/out of beach lots and had any issues?
22  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2007 December 27, 21:41:56
I put it on SH and Vulkano.

Try placing it where you can, edit, save, move to bin. Then try placing that one and see if you get better results.
23  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2007 December 27, 18:36:48
Oh--well then....

That dip is something that appears when the lot is placed--I know it wasn't in the packaged lots as I made sure all of those were level, portals in the right places, etc. I have seen for myself that sometimes a dip all the way across the lot develops when it's placed, and then the dip at the mail box appears sometimes too. I really don't understand why.

Hopefully the new version is better and it doesn't have the issue. If it checks out of with Morrginrant, I'l post the file over at MTS2. I'l post here when/if I post it over there.

Has anyone tried the 1xs?
24  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2007 December 23, 22:13:38
That's similar to what I had--mine was the same location, but not as wide--only one square wide. I'll make a 3x3 after xmas and we'll see what happens then.

I'm sorry you have to wait!
25  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Smaller Beach lots! on: 2007 December 23, 17:42:12
Is it happening on ALL size lots??

You're not crazy, you're not really.

I wish you'd post a pic of it--I think it is an issue I saw a few times but without a pic to be sure....  I think: it develops sometimes, or did for me, when the lot is placed and I think it has something to do with the mailbox and/or trash can being right there. The lots were NOT like that initially. I made sure all portals were placed well and all lots were as level as possible (they are on sloped ground...) For me the dip only appeared once or twice and I dumped those lots and started over. I think it may have something to do with the combination of items and the terrain the lot is placed on. It happened so few times for me, I didn't worry about it. And I think you might be the only one it's happening for! Smiley You're 'Special'. What terrain(s) are you on? You said which earlier, I think, but are you still on those?

There is a newer version of the lot Adjuster and I will make a new 5x3 and a 4X4 for you and we'll see if it resolves the issues. But you're gonna have to wait until after Xmas. Sorry....
