I'm having the same problem as Ange with TSM. Any help would be appreciated.

Also I was experimenting on how much FPS CAW and CAP are using and found that CAW uses around 600+ FPS and CAP is around 450+ FPS.

I tried using the FPS Limiter on CAW and it maintained at 30-31 FPS but when I tried using the Edit in game function TS3 ran at 1100+ FPS.

Just wondering if anybody has a solution for these? Or does anyone know any memory resident FPS limiter that would automatically activate? Thanks in advance.

Just in case someone's interested in unlocking the achievements for ambitions and watcher levels, the file to modify is the ach.package found on the save folder.

I don't have the capability to hack the file. This will be the file to modify for those interested.

The file also includes the limited edition and the prima promotion unlock tags.

Maybe someone who has the capability be nice enough to check if there are other unlockable goodies inside that file. Thanks.

It's probably because they don't actually have bladders, so they don't know when to stop. But then, this is game where the only gameplay is questing and you control that one specific hero sim, so why would you leave them alone?

There are quests that require 2 sims and there are some idle time for one sim while the other is doing the quest.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims Medieval on: 2011 March 30, 06:32:11
There's bathing? Medieval sims don't have a hygiene motive...

I may be wrong but I think it's a hidden motive that is triggered with only certain actions or conditions, My blacksmith gets the green stinky cloud after a couple of smithing. But swordplays or kingball does not seem to trigger it.

What I noticed with high free will on, NPCs in the castle autonomously bathe on the bathtub, anywhere else no one uses it. But my stinky blacksmith sim prefers to use the chamber pot instead of the tub when left autonomously.

I don't know if anybody noticed that female sims pee at the chamber pot standing up the way males do it.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fix for photograhy issues. Updated for 1.12/2.7/3.3 (Ambitions) on: 2010 June 07, 16:20:26
Oh, it's definitely ambitions. They had added some code to take photos of crafted sculptures or sketches. Seems like they forgot to add a name in th UI or something like that. I'll see if I can fix it with this mod.

Edit: Turns out all they wanted to do was add the new sculptures and sketches to the "Home Decor" subject, but failed miserably. That'll teach me to not add their updates without checking if they actually function first. Fixed.

I found the missing name for the Home Sweet Home by accident. It's the laundry set, You must have both washing machine and dryer inside the photo frame. No name will pop out. Got it through by completing an architectural job for laundry room.

I don't think it's your fault since the addition was subtle and only 1 subject hidden in 13 categories, anybody can miss that.

Thanks.

Thanks for the update Goggalor.

Just noticed, that Ambitions broke the photography skill in my game. The "Home Sweet Home" category seemed to have spawned an empty subject to photograph which deducted from the completed set number on the Shutter Nut challenge.

I'm still experimenting if this is caused by ambitions or another mod or CC.

Yes, I finished all 25 listed photo category for the Everyday Moments. What i meant internally listed is that when you unlock the everyday moments category, the game will list that you still have 26 subjects more to go. Been checking the pop-up messages in game and noticed the two unlisted subjects are "The Maid" and "The Repairman"  It appears they are not the same as "Maid at Work" and "Repairman on the Job"

Did the fireman as what claeric said, Kept getting "my friend" or "a sim in the area" depending on how well you know him. I did manage to get the subject via using the buyable fire mod and kept the camera on him until the "Fireman" tag appeared.

Thanks.

Ok, I think I managed to hide the maid and repairman entries properly. I don't have any sim at the moment close to finishing that category though, but hopefully it will register as completed now. Thanks for letting me know about it.

Thanks very much, Will try it out.

Edit 5/26: It works Thanks very much, Goggalor.

I have been trying to complete the photography skill records and found that for the everyday moments category the game lists 27 items internally but only 25 are listed on the skill page.

The missing two are 1. The Maid and 2. The Repairman. which is impossible to get since trying to capture them they would register as "friends or a sim in the area or maid at work/repairman on the job" just wondering if it possible to request to fix this also?

I also noticed that the Fireman is really hard to get since the fireman will most of time register as "running", "a fight" or "fighting fire". I hope ambitions would be able to correct this with the firefighter career.

Thanks.

Did you finish the 25 listed photos in that collection and it still wouldn't show as completed? Also not sure were you mean they are listed internally. If you are talking about the fact that they are listed as subjects in this xml that's because those entries are used as arguments in other entries.

And as for the fireman, what claeric said.

I'm having trouble placing a city hall on a 64X64 lot. It claims that the object is going out of bounds, which it isn't.

The lot is totally flat. Should I use MoveObjects? Will that create any problems?

The reason the community rabbitholes cannot be placed. It's because the terrain is not flat. However once the lot is placed on uneven ground, flattening the lot will not correct it.

Moveobjects is the easiest way to do it, but in my experience, putting a rabbithole on a foundation with a uneven lot will make the rabbithole load longer and be invisible during town view.

My solution to this problem is to remove the lot in CAW, flatten it then make a new blank lot. Repeat until the rabbithole can be successfully placed without having the moveobjects enabled.

I'm sure there might be an easier way but so far only this has worked for me.
Uh, no. For one...it's flat. For two, rabbithole lots can be placed on uneven lots/terrain quite well. I do it all the time. I stick them into hills and such. The important thing is to make sure that the approach to the entrance is flat. Otherwise, you get random sims melding into the sidewalk.

I've never had any longer load times on my 'hoods (in fact, they seem to load faster than Riverview and Sunset Valley). I've never had display problems in town view.

Noted. Will re-evaluate a previous save. Thanks.

14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Error codes 12 and 13 along with crashing. on: 2010 January 15, 06:02:38
I'm not sure if this will be a useful information. So far, what I understand with E12s is a result of a sim with a bad desciption or an object that gets corrupted.

In my game, I have identified 3 corrupt pre-made sims Flo Broke, Flat Broke and Illiana Langerak. In repeated tries on a newly created world, Illiana and Flo produces 2 graves and sometimes retains their portait on the family even after death. Their ghost just hovers around and unselectable. Going into edit town mode seems to reset the lot and fixes this glitch. Flat Broke is the same but makes only 1 grave. Illiana's grave also goes missing when she dies and the family is not active.

I am not sure if this is happening similarly to others. I am sure that there are some more corrupt sims that I have not fully studied.

I also got E12s on vacation and discovered some sim description error of the active family. Something has occurred in the base hood and they brought the bug along to the vacation hood. Fixall seems to correct it. But the base hood is borked when returning to it. It's best to do fixall before going to vacation or the vacation will just be a waste and you have to re-do it again, the Base hood will refuse to save properly and may CTD.

This is in my experience. It may differ in other people's case since CCs and play style are different.

16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fix for theatre photograhy issue in WA. NEW:All sizes and styles with no skill on: 2009 December 23, 05:08:21
Ok, I'll look into those.

Edit: Dropa stone collection issue is fixed. The "get a room" photo is possible to capture. Make sure the sims on the couch is doing the "makeout" interaction and that it's daytime. "Cuddle on sofa" won't do and at night it seems to be overridden by the "lovers at night" photo. Also, sometimes if a photo contains several subjects you may also have to cycle through them by snapping other subjects first.

Thanks, Goggalor
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Fix for theatre photograhy issue in WA. NEW:All sizes and styles with no skill on: 2009 December 22, 00:46:31
Just an observation, I noticed that the dropa collection in the collectible section and the "get a room" on sims in motion is not recognized either with or without this fix.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 22, 00:44:08
The Shutter Nut challenge from the photography skill also resets to zero when travelling. The weird part is that the collections will still remain as complete or will still retain all statistics and data only the shutter nut record is zero.

Also a funny thing happened. After updating to the 2.3 version. My sim when reading the paper will not sit on chairs or couches but will go up 3 floors just to sit on the tub and read.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Marriage in Family Trees on: 2009 December 21, 07:53:28
Has anyone else noticed that marriages are no longer marked on family trees? I don't know if this is a bug caused by AwesomeMod, the new patch, or one of my other mods.

I think it's a bug with the 1.7/2.2 update without AM. I have 4 non-active sims that have same problem.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sim canīt fish any more on: 2009 December 19, 16:23:50
One of my Sims has lvl 10 in fishing but since WA he canīt fish anymore. In the holiday neighborhoods he can fish but not with bait. When i select fishing with bait he starts and after a second he will be teleported to the start camp.
Iīve read in another forum that this could happen when the Sim has fished with bait, you stopped the action and removed the bait fom his inv. I started an older savegame where all baits are in his inv and he also canīt fishing.
I hoped that this would be fixed with the new patch but it isnīt.
Maybe it isnīt an EA bug and related to AM and there is a knows warkaround for that?

Greetz
I had a similar experience a few months back. I found that the problem is due to an incompatible mod either with AM or the patch. I cannot remember what mod caused mine as of the moment, but it would be best to check what's installed in your game.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 10, 09:36:09
Another thing just started happening since switching active families today for the first time since getting WA. I noticed that from the map view, the house I just built for my second family and the house I built and played since installing WA were not showing up at all. They looked like empty lots. If I zoomed in, they'd show ok, but the other strange thing is when I zoomed in on the first family's house, I could see in their house without my guy going there and visiting. That's not supposed to happen. I'm going to try playing again to see if it was just a quick glitch or not.

I noticed that last night when I built a house in Riverview and after zooming out in live mode the old house which stood there before was showing instead of the new one. I have no idéa what is causing this though.

Could it be because of a refresh issue? I believe that the map view and the lot view has a different allocation within the cache. I had similar incidents with my 60x60 lot in Sunset valley but it updates after a while. With the way the cache is handled in riverview, the cache size probably has not yet increased to it's maximum.

It also has to do with conflicting package files. In my other experince, when zooming into the lot sometimes it is empty and it will take around 30 to 45 seconds for the house to refresh and show. Sometimes all my lot's textures are flat on the ground floor while the game is still building up the frames and the meshes of the house. I am sure it is not due to ram. because without the package files the refresh runs smoothly. Still lazy to do trial and errors and find the culprit package file.
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Options/Sims Toolbar is gone on: 2009 December 10, 08:13:39
I have experienced twice that my UI disappeared. I don't know if the cause is the same with what the others are experiencing, It happened once in my Base Game and one with WA. The common thing prior to the UI disappearing were exceedingly bugged homeless/townie sims.

Whenever I get 1 homeless household, it's a sign something will go wrong later. So far, the trend I see in my game is that these homeless bums prefer to stay being bums. the Forcemovein command really gets them crazy, some households refuse to move. The message will say that they have moved into a nameless lot but they are still nowhere to be seen (even with refreshing the neighborhood). They even once evicted my current household and moved in the current lot.

Another thing I remembered is that when there is a serious sim description error, the UI will also vanish. Back in the base game before WA was shipped out. I found the hidden Photography skill. Being curious, I put some values that are similar and common to most of the other 29 skills (ordinary, hidden, toddler and child skills), upon entering the game my UI is gone. reversing the change also returned the game to normal. It could also be possible that the problem is with a damaged sim description of someone within the neighborhood.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 05, 12:35:59
The damaged skill fields in my game are as follows:
Does the damage occur only when you return to the main neighborhood, or does it occur when you leave and arrive at a vacation hood as well?
The damage occurs when there is a change in neighborhood. In my experience, returning from or going to vacation damages the skill records.

Also did notice that The Vizard of Vine challenge is currently unattainable.

I don't know if :
1. it is bugged
2. it records only ordinary grapes
3. only a specific special grape type should be used
4. the sim has to personally harvest the grapes and convert them into nectar.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 03, 03:04:35
A. Traveling damages skill records.
Yeah, that will happen due to the fact that the game is essentially attempting to decompile and reconstruct everything like if you had exported to bin. Knowing exactly which fields are damaged would be helpful.
The damaged skill fields in my game are as follows:
1. The Collecting Skill :
Amateur Rock Finder and  Awesomest Rock Collector in the Universe challenges are affected when the space rock analyzed is reduced to 3%. I'm not sure which rock gets retained but the number of rocks found are still intact. I believe in the old save file format there is  another set of fields specifying what rocks types are identified and how many.
2. The Charismatic skill :
Comedian challenge. Only the jokes told are set to zero. the other records remain intact. If I remember correctly, the one of the records for charisma is outside the charisma skill tree.
3. The Nectar Making Skill :
         A. Mix Master challenge - This gets reset to 1 for me. But others seems to report they get 0.
         B. The Vizard of Vine - This, I still need to verify, since I have not yet able to complete even if my record has already around 600 grapes bunches pressed, and 400 is the required.

Thanks in advance.

All cars function normally on vacation, with a few wrinkles.
1. The road network is normally shite.
2. The car must be IN YOUR INVENTORY to work...after you arrive. If you used the inventory car to drive to the airport, this car will no longer be in your inventory and will not be accessible wile on vacation. AwesomeMod prevents inventoried vehicles from being used to go on vacation, so that it will remain in your inventory and be usable when you arrive, but the stock base game will happily have your sim use that car to drive away in the base hood, and thus lose the car.
Ok, now I understand. Without the Awesomemod, my sim uses the taxi to the airport when going to China but uses her personal car when going to France or Egypt. There was one incident that the car went MIA after vacation but weirdly resurfaced in another sim's inventory after 3-4 vacations later.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Bugs in WA on: 2009 December 01, 09:19:48
In my game these are my observed bugs

A. Traveling damages skill records.
1. Space rock identified always drops to 3% identified. (without mods or hacks it drops to 73%)
2. Nectar combination mix drops to 1 combination. (Vanilla WA retains combination record)
3. Comedian skill challenge drops to 0 Jokes made. (even without mods it drops to 0)

B. Upgrading of the fortune cookie machine is bugged. Upon upgrading the handiness skill page becomes blank. There is also no message when the upgrade is completed.

C. Store keepers gets stuck at their starting point. The shop becomes unmanned. (experienced in vanilla game, So far with Awesomemod or NRaas Story Driver they always come to work)

D. Painting meter does not complete, however premature stoppage of painting completes it.

E. Base game Magic gnome is inactive.

F. Putting cars into the inventory when traveling will allow the car to be used only in China, but scooters are not allowed in China. Egypt and France only allows the scooter.
