1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 Pets- Whats borked thread on: 2011 October 26, 10:39:08
I'm getting a lot of action-cancelling as well. Horses won't play with the ball toy at all due to false route-failures. :/
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: CAW: Making Lots In-Game (SOLVED) on: 2010 September 23, 07:28:35
I wasn't aware of that. Thanks!
Also, derp, figured out my own problem. You can't place blank lots, but apparently lots with something on them are just peachy. Whatever, game.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / CAW: Making Lots In-Game on: 2010 September 23, 05:50:39
Is it possible to make lots using the "edit in game" function in Create-a-World? I like the pre-made sizes instead of counting a bunch of squares like CAW's system. But when I go into "edit in game" and place blank lots, then try to save, I get "save failure" errors. Any way around this, or is it just borked?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ghost haunting indefinitely on: 2010 July 18, 23:29:43
Have you tried using ResetSim?

*facepalm* I completely forgot about that function...Which is retarded because I use it ALL THE TIME! Never thought to use it on a ghost, I guess. That seemed to do the trick though! Thank you!
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Ghost haunting indefinitely on: 2010 July 18, 20:53:15
I'm having a bug where grandpa's ghost won't gtfo.

Grandpa sim died and I kept his urn in the house. He decided to come out and haunt the place, but two days have gone by and he hasn't returned to his grave. I can't move the grave to anyone's inventory, and nothing is obstructing it at all. Is there a way to force the ghost back into the urn? I'd like to find a solution that doesn't involve deleting it or destroying the ghost forever.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: .DBC not showing up? on: 2010 June 17, 23:08:03
Is your new resource.cfg file set to recognize both .package and .dbc files?

I think so. I downloaded it off the wiki. It says...

Priority 500

PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc

PackedFile Packages/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*.dbc
PackedFile Mods/Packages/*/*.dbc
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / .DBC not showing up? (resolved) on: 2010 June 17, 21:27:53
Yes, I searched.

I moved my mods to the new My Documents location. Everything seems to be turning up fine, except for all the things I had as .dbc files. (The kilt, for example.) Sorry if the issue's been brought up before, I never saw it. :/

EDIT: Found the problem. Had to modify the resource.cfg to add the .dbc lines and fix the mods/packages line. *facepalm* My fail. Should look like this now:

Priority 500

PackedFile DCCache/*.dbc

PackedFile Packages/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*/*/*/*/*.package

PackedFile Packages/*.dbc

PackedFile Packages/*/*.dbc
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Simbots are awesome on: 2010 June 15, 23:20:12
I have a household of 2 simbots, one invented by the other.  I really don't like the "eek, a Simbot" reaction that stomps their queues whenever one of them walks past the other one.

I've had them roll up wants to eat at the bistro.  Sorry, but I don't think the bistro serves scrap.

They also roll up wants to become more muscular, which I don't think is possible.  If EA weren't going to block this want for simbots then they should have added a "change simbot body shape" interaction on the inventing station.

The reprogram option when they have shorted out is a nice way to change their traits without spending aspiration points, but it's a shame that it doesn't change their LTW.

...Boy, EA just really halfassed the whole simbot thing didn't they?
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 4.0.87 (AMB) TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 15, 00:52:50
Throw rocks at me, but I'm getting a stuck load bar at 0%. I don't think it's a framework fail. (Yes I tried searching.)
10  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 12, 16:28:40
Ah, so it's gonna be more dependent on EA? Do they usually do a follow-up patch after an expansion? I dont recall.

Yes, because they fired their whole testing department and now use their own customers as testers. *facepalm* Great customer service there, EA.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Annoying Boots on: 2010 June 10, 20:31:20
try "resetsim" or "editsim" on the babby?
Try one of the store links in the Pudding Factory, someone probably put them up on mediafire or something.
12  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 09, 00:24:13
Seems to be working fine for me.

I am unsure if it is AM causing this or just an EAssian error, but when you click on the tattoo tab in CAS, the fucking sim doesn't stop spinning unless you zoom in/out.
Do fix this problem if you can in a later update.

This is an EAssian error, I'm getting it as well. Really annoying.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Simbots are awesome on: 2010 June 07, 19:56:26
Gathering from everyone's ideas (which are all pretty damn good), here's what I'd like to see personally:

-Simbots either recharging at a charge station instead of beds or absorbing energy from sunlight. Possibly both.

-Getting rid of waste is reasonable, but doing it in a terlet is retarded. They should just randomly leave a scrap pile on the floor when their bladder hits 0.

-Aging off, OR have a mechanic do a "tune up" that resets their age.
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Things About Awesome Mod on: 2010 June 07, 04:28:24
-My neighborhoods don't explode and become unplayable after a certain amount of time, due to stupid errors piling up.

-Fambly trees actually make sense. Why the hell can't an adult be the parent of a young adult? If young adults are 20's and adults are 40's...

-Sims don't run across the river and through the woods to find a chair when one is right next to them.

-No route failures every 2 seconds.

-Babbys are recolorable with editsim.

-Fixall.

-The fact that the whole game is an unplayable piece of crap without Awesomemod. :| Without Pescado I would have stopped playing a loooong time ago.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Simbots are awesome on: 2010 June 06, 16:09:37
I haven't been able to get a simbot yet. So wait, they AGE? What kind of bullshit is that?! 8| I guess "deterioration" is plausible, but come on...To control population, the game could just cap a limit the amount of Simbots in the hood. They should also definitely be recolorable.

I think some mods are in order. Anyone?

First we need some ideas.

I think there should be a charging station where they stand instead of being allowed to sleep in beds.  It could also handle them peeing since it is just retarded that they go to use toilette. Heck, it could charge up all their motives and keep them in suspended animation until there is a chore to be done, such as cleaning the house or weeding plants or fighting burglars or doing the laundry or other things that are below a non-slaves paygrade.  And when they are done with that?  Right back to their cell charging station.

Good idea! There's no way to remove some of their motive bars entirely though, is there? :/ Or to keep them from aging?

17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 06, 01:50:10
After my family moved into their new house, the wife and daughter seem to want to run everywhere. There's nothing going on that constitutes the need to run. Though if I click "Go Here" and select the tone to "Walk" they walk.

There's a trait that makes sims run everywhere, I think it's clumsy.

None of them have that trait. My daughter is doing it now too. But not the husband. Maybe it's just female sims?

Is the sim athletic? They tend to run by default, I noticed.
18  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 06, 01:46:04
With no Awesomemod or CC, I played Twinbrook for 3 hours, then came back and played it for 3 more. I didn't experience any CTDs or weirdness despite the usual EA fails and annoyances. I do have a lot of sims randomly walking onto my lot and trying to talk to my sim though. Not sure if that was something Awesomemod fixed or not.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions: What's borked on: 2010 June 05, 18:17:34
Makeover stations apparently reset a sim's age. My sim was a couple days from being an Adult, used the makeover station in Twinbrook, and now he's back to "20 days before Adult". :/
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Incompatible with WA 2.7.7.006002 on: 2010 June 05, 15:28:51
Thanks, I assumed that was it, but I thought I'd seen someone say it worked with all versions of TS3.
Anyway, thanks very much!

It will soon work with this patch, sheesh. Give it time, it actually needs to be WRITTEN and adapted every single time a new patch or something comes out. By a person. Which takes time.

Pescado is no "person". I believe he is some kind of superior droid.

So the whole mod is pretty much redone from the ground up every time? Christ.
21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sims body stretched? on: 2010 June 04, 20:15:27
This doesn't sound like a problem related to Awesomemod. Have you tried the resetsim function?
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Lag due to (possible) sound file? on: 2009 December 22, 08:48:29
You don't have a generic (Realtek) HD Audio chipset/sound card by any chance, do you?  Mine does the exact same thing you described.

I hope this isn't another damn issue with Realtek HD Audio.  When I first set up this computer, I had to find a fix just to hear internet audio, so I wouldn't be surprised if the game hates this card, too.

Aw, damn it. As a matter of fact, I do. :|
I've had nothing but trouble with this card since I got it. Ugh.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Lag due to (possible) sound file? on: 2009 December 17, 20:26:08
I used Process Monitor to track down bad CC a while back. Now I'm noticing this popping up every few seconds:

HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceClasses\{EC87F1E3-C13B-4100-B5F7-8B84D54260CB}

It says the file can not be found. Google isn't helping, except for one thread that said it may be a sound-related file. Updating Directx and all that didn't work. Removing the bad CC made the lag bearable, but this is still making it very frustrating with hang-ups every few seconds. :/ Any ideas? Apparently some other people are having this problem too.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA incompatible with .package files? on: 2009 December 09, 02:38:55
Oh, and for the record, yes I have tried moving everything to Sims3/blah blah/World Adventures.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / WA incompatible with .package files? on: 2009 December 09, 02:37:05
If this is EA's way of making sure their shit isn't stolen, it's not cool.

Forgive me if this is stupid/been said before, but I haven't seen this problem in particular posted anywhere. Apparently the World Adventures EP is incompatible with the .package format and pretty much forces you to use .sims3pack or else the game lags horribly.

All of my mods are .packages because the launcher is a slow piece of crap. Is there any way to convert .packages to .sims3pack? Probably not. I just want to know because there's no way I'm redownloading fucking everything. And if not, is there at least a solution? Because most creators don't even use .sims3pack format in the first place.

My game lags so bad right now that it's unplayable unless I remove all CC. And Sims 3 without CC is...well, unplayable.

Thank you.
