1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Sim got reseted upon feeding fish whose tank on the floor on: 2012 December 13, 13:53:54
Have you tried not putting fish tanks on the floor? Also, you will get no support if you fail to be fully patched for whatever snowflaek reason you have.

As you can see, this thread is like ages ago, back when it was like a couple days after the release of patch 1.42, so I didn't fully patch my game or update AM (I, however, remember that I had encountered this even before the patch). However, keep in mind that I did state that this might not be a AM's bug at all, so I was trying to report an unreported EAxis' %^*$#, rather than asking for support

2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Sim got reseted upon feeding fish whose tank on the floor on: 2012 November 07, 14:46:13
Sorry for the dumb title name. I couldn't come up with any better name for it, so I decide to leave it like that, and try to elaborate what really happens here.

To start off with, I think this is an EAxis bug, rather than an Awesome's defect. This occurs with patch 1.39 and the corresponding version of AM for it, but since it's EAxis and seems like no one has reported it yet, it will likely to occurs with previous patches, and even with the current patch of 1.42 as well

Description:
Normally, sims should not be able to do the action of "Feed [Fishname]" when the tank containing that fish is on the floor. The action is grayed out, and a pop-up saying "Object is on the floor" comes up when hovering the mouse over the action.

However, if there exist more than one fish tanks on the lot, the action "Feed all fishes on the lot" will be available on the menu of every fish tank, even on the one whose tank is on the floor. This action will lead the current sim to go to and feed every tank, including the one which is on the floor. As the sim try to feed that tank, he will be "force-reset". He will reappear at the default location, with motives snap back to the state as if he have just been reseted with resetsim command. One thing, however, which is not reseted is promised wishes. All promised wishes remain the same, rather than being discarded after a reset.

I'm not sure if the reset was the game's original behavior, or AM, or even Twallan's Overwatch. Maybe the game's original behavior will simply pop out an error message, rather than attempting to reset the sim. Maybe it is smart enough to force reset the sim to fix it. I'm still not sure. I'll need more testings to firgure out what causes this weird "half-baked" reset.

Am I supposed to put it with Awesome Mod, because if I put them together and then try to open S3, upon opening a save file the game stops.
the game stops means it crashed. make sure you have installed the right patch. check if there are other mods that conflict with AM. if none of the above is the reason, delete the caches files in the C:\Documents and Settings\[Your name]\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 for Wins XP, or C:\User\[Your name]\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 for Wins Vista. make sure you delete all the files with the "cache" phrase in their names.
For other solutions if none of my suggestions work, check back in the thread where you downloaded AM.

I just don't know. I built that house on a smaller lot. Actually, I remember that there was a EA generated family lived there (they didn't exist in a fresh game). I deleted that family and demolished the house before building a new one. Can the mailbox still keep those unpaid bills of that family Huh After demolising the old house, I enter the lot and saw the mailbox and the ouside trashcan were moved to the sidewalk like TS2-style. Didn't it mean they were newly generated?
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Question on: 2009 August 11, 17:12:31
I don't really know whether this is a kind of weird thing the mod cause or just another EA's stupidity. I evicted my active household from their house and had them purchase a new house. After they had live in the new house for about 6-7 hours, there was an announcement said that they hadn't paid the bills for a long time, and the repoman would come to take their stuffs. It's strange that they paid their bills the day before. And even if they had unpaid bills remained for a long time, there should be a reminder with the "Pay the bills" button before the repoman takes his action.
If this is EA fault, hope it will be fixed

I did use the "editsim " cheat. But not on the Sim who are having the problem. I used it on the maid rented by that Sim. I just wanted to check the maid's outfits and traits. So after I finished, I just clicked cancel, not confirm. I think ir's not harmful as the game didn't save any changes
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Lifetime Rewards Glitch on: 2009 August 05, 13:34:10
I installed AwesomeMod yesterday. And it seemed to work fine. So I decided to save my game.

But today, I found out a glitch. And it was saved too Cry. It means that even I uninstall the mod, it's still there.

What I did was after I installed the mod, I purchased some new rewards for my Sim. When I push the "Lifetime Rewards" button, the pop-up came out, and I quickly recognised some changes the mod made. In generally (without the mod installed), you cann't purchased a reward many times (except those are objects, like the Body Scupltor or the Teleport Pad...). And after you purchased that reward, it will be removed from the selection table (it means the list will shorten). But when you installed the mod, you can see that the reward you had purchased will stay on the table (although it cann't be selected again). But I thought it was normal, so I purchased some new rewards, saved my game and turned off the game.
And here is the glitch that I found out today. (pls take a look at the attached pic). The rewards I purchased yesterday (after I installed the mod) are working fine, I guess Huh. But those I purchased before installing the mod become null (both the title and the description).

Luckily for me, I was wise enough to take a backup of my save files, and I can return everything back to normal. But I just want you to know about the glitch. Hope it will be fixed soon. Sorry I'm too lazy to post the pic on other site and put the code into my post. So I compressed it to a .rar file
