Greyform, are you in build move or live mode when trying to set up tomb objects? You have to be in buy/build mode to be able to set up tomb items.

The fragements are called The Sarcophagus of the Kings. When you have the 5 pieces and go to construct one, the one you get will either be the blessed or cursed Sarcophagus of the Kings, so unless you use the buydebug cheat, there is no way in knowing which one you will get.

To get the cursed sarcophagus you have to collect the 5 pieces to make the gold sarcophagus, its just chance if you create a cured or blessed one, I've made both.
79  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Tombs do not reset on: 2009 November 21, 17:55:57
I read about that before WA even came out.  Treasure resets when you leave the tomb for a bit, but traps/doors only reset when you leave the country and come back.

That may be what is supposed to happen, but it doesn't. Leaving the country and going back, hidden staircases, hidden doors, doors that require a common keystone, things like that, they don't reset.
80  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Buyable Scooter For WA on: 2009 November 19, 17:59:53
Why wouldn't it already be available in buy mode? Is it one of those things where you have to go to a shop in the vacation area to buy?

Yep, you have to spend the money to go to France or Egypt to buy the scooter, same with cameras.

You wouldn't have to reinstall all the content you installed through the launcher, as long as you save the DCCache folder. That is where all content installed through the launcher is saved, and if you do a fresh install and put that folder back in, all the content will be back in the game without having to install it again.

The digital download isn't supposed to be available for about another hour, at noon CST.

EA doesn't care about the customers because The Sims as a series is well established and has players who have been playing it for a near decade. As jordi said, they only care about customer's money now, because they feel The Sims is so big, they can't do anything that will kill it(like charging high prices for the store, or increasing the price of EPs).
85  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stuff from early development hidden in the files? on: 2009 August 14, 19:28:29
They did hide the gender doors, like for restrooms, in the game files. Someone on MTS found them a few weeks ago. But who knows there could be more stuff hidden in there.
86  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New EP & still no Hood Editor! on: 2009 August 05, 22:26:49
EA were talking about the neighbourhood editor when they first revealed that there would only be one hood in the new game but I noticed they didn't mention it after 3 months or so before release.  I guessed then they'd changed their mind.  If they do release it, I would guess they would charge for it or release it as an EP - "NEW, you can now edit your own neighbourhoods!  Give us yet more of your hard-earned money (or that of your parent's) for something that should have been in the game when it was released!  And don't forget the Sims Store guys."  Lame.

I noticed that too. When they announced the game was no longer going to be released in February, but rather in June, all talk about releasing a tool to edit neighborhoods stopped.

If we don't get the tool in either World Adventures or by years end, I doubt we will get it at all. But with all the negative feeling towards World Adventures on the BBS, and all the people who want a tool to make/edit neighborhoods, watch EA put that in WA as a new feature just to get people to buy it.

After spending a few minutes looking for it, I found an interview where Ben Bell said they would release tools to the community.

Quote from: Ben Bell
We're also releasing our developer tools a couple of months after the game, so the community will be able to create their own towns.

So there is still hope to see these tools, because Ben said a couple of months after the game, not weeks. And the game has only been out in the US for 2 months, 2 days.

No, I'm pretty sure you are right. At least that is what they say about her hairs over at PMBD. I think at one point someone even found one of the sites she goes to to get meshes to make into hairs on the Sims.
