Most of those live nation items do look like crap. To top it off, I just read this following quote at the bottom of the live nation page.
" * To acquire these items you must have purchased SimPoints from The Sims 3 Store. You cannot solely use your promotional SimPoints on these items. Promotional SimPoints are points you received with purchase of a product or that were otherwise awarded free of charge. "
EA won't allow people to spend their "free" points on the items.
Apparently that disclaimer isn't true. JudHudson said that he was able to get the KISS pack and he's not bought Simpoints before.

EA has launched Branded Content. Currently they have Live Nation merchandise, so for 300 sim points, you can get the official male and female t-shirt and a poster for different musicians. Right now they have KISS, Lil Wayne, Ozzy Osbourne, Sex Pistols, and Shakria. There are also 3 new Dr. Pepper items, which you can see what they look like here.

This game update enables dynamic ad serving capabilities in The Sims 3. However, there are no immediate plans to activate any content of this kind. Is this the same thing they were supposedly going to do in the base game, but decided against it? I hope if they do decide to put ads in the game, they allow an option to disable them. I don't want to see ads in the game at all. Yes, it is. And don't count on EA allowing us to turn the ads off. Companies are going to pay EA to advertise in the game. Which company would want to advertise in the game if players could just turn the ads off and never see them?

At the fan events for the L&P, EA said the patch will be out June 1st, the same way it was with World Adventures. If the same thing happens this time as with last, there will be a second patch out that same week.

60 items? Goes to show how cheap the whole thing has become.
Actually, Stuff packs have always had around 60 items. So really, that hasn't changed. I'm not sure if they counted walls, floors and object recolors as part of the 60 or not, but I remembered it being advertised for most, if not all of the packs, that there were 60 new items in them. I'm pretty sure they didn't count walls floors and recolors in that total. But you are right, most stuff packs did have about 60, some more, some less. Kitchen and Bath was a huge exception to that though, with 103 new items.

According to this interview ( http://www.simfans.de/specials/interview_luxus-accessoires/english.php) there are 40 objects and 20 outfit items. SimFans.de: In comparison to the official The Sims 3 Store - The included 60 objects are much cheaper than 60 objects from the Store. What is the reason for that difference?
Melanie Lam: The store is a newer way for us to reach the community with individual objects, holiday themed objects, and sets. With the store, players get to craft their own collection of items for purchase. However, the design of a stuff pack is such that it boosts players' ability to create a unique setting and tell a story; in this case, the setting is a modern loft space. The story could be that of a hip musician or a designer. We've put together 40 objects and about 20 Sim outfit items that go with the theme. The pricing does not vary too greatly from the store as we offer discounts on the store when you purchase sets.

If Snooty Sims has the correct information, this stuff pack is a 10th Anniversary pack and includes three items from the former Sims games, the heart-shaped vibrating bed, the electric guitar, and the aquarium. How much you want to bet the electric guitar will play the same songs as the acoustic guitar plays, and the aquarium will still only hold one fish.

I haven't been really looking for errors in the guide, but there is a few that I did find. Again she put the wrong name for the Luminorious gem, she called it the Crazy gem (in the base game guide she called it the Special gem), she is also calling the Blue Topaz the Aqua gem.
In the tomb building section she also failed to say that you have to enter "testingcheatsenabled true" before entering "buydebug." She says you only have to enter "testingcheatsenabled true" only after you enter "buydebug" to be able to assign triggers and behaviors to tomb items.
