Perhaps it's a certain job rank.
I figure there will be "service" ones though due to the Hidden Trait.
52  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: 1.4 patch is now out on: 2009 August 09, 04:37:45
I agree with the idea that TS3 was broken upon release. I can't compare to TS2 as I never played that one.

First problem -  I was at Best Buy getting some cables or something and they had it at the register. I failed my saving throw and bought it. The DVD would not read in my computer. Went online and found a bunch of the same complaints. I returned the disk and bought the digital download version. This was a major complaint for the release.

Second problem - Story mode as written didn't work and EAxis admitted it. Once it was on it was always on with no way to turn it off. I lost several friends to move out. I found out about MATY from the BBS, downloaded AwesomeMod, and have never looked back. Without AM I would have stopped playing the game within about a week or so.

Third problem - (alright, not a release issue, just an EAxis one) - I could not update to 1.3 due to the Mac digital download not being available. So, I'm running 1.2 and old AM. When I get home I'll get to see if I can update to 1.4.

Far as I remember, The only trouble I had with Sims 2 at release was the batch of it at one wal-mart was corrupted randomly on files.
Far as I remember, there were no bugs that I encountered.

To start it without the launcher just use the Game .exe out of the folder instead of the launcher's .exe

And yeah, As far as I can tell. Everything seems to work still.

With snootysims it's mixed on rather information is correct.
Every site has sometimes rumors that are false.

You just have to take everything with a grain of salt. Even with this site.
55  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Indy Stone Mod development stops - News at 9 on: 2009 August 07, 00:13:54
My only hope is that someone comes up with a good story progression mod that works just as great.

I wish they had made a pattern set that was glass and transparent things.
We don't have those kind of options.

But I guess they figured since we can't tint windows and so fourth, what does it matter?  Sad

Instead of making a Thread on it.
and Since the title does say New build of awesome mod causes my game to crash to desktop.
I Just got the new build moments ago.
I try to launch the game, It does the half loads and craps out.
So I go get the Script error thing from the download thread.
I thought that helped cause I got into the game more.... Well.
Right as I click the save to play it crashes again.
Has this been reported yet and is there a fix?
Take the "enablescripterror" package out and try the 3-booter.  That is the program that just keeps restarting the game, which hopefully will make it work.  I am using this routinely now and having no problems launching the game.  The other is more for programmers to see what is happening and does not affect launching.

And, if that doesn't work, try the suggestions here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,16229.0.html
Thank you!
I had tried everything on that post, I was reading it before You posted here.
When I removed the Scripterror one it started to run again. Joy.

Thank you.

59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Custom eyebrows on: 2009 August 02, 00:30:09
Maybe it's because I think you can turn the eyebrows to almost look like the Vulcan ones in game as is.
And that maybe the gem one didn't look so good to them?

Eh, Still hard to believe MTS is being picky like that. Never knew that.
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Custom eyebrows on: 2009 August 01, 20:55:48
They look okay.

Never heard of MTS turning down content though... Sorry to hear that.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: UltraLounge Full Set on: 2009 July 31, 03:26:31
Do you have the recent patch?

I got my sets from a trusted site and it installed just fine.

I use to get a Error like that though on one of the sponge objects.
It went away when I got a different download. (amusingly the one from EA didn't work, the one I have now works.)
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 July 29, 19:54:42
I'm having trouble installing the patch.
I've got a legal version of the game, and it gives me a error twice with installing it.

I thought I'd try Witch's Bin.rar they put up to see if it'd help.
Now it won't even tell me there is a update and it's still sitting at 1.2.7.

Thinking I might have to just reinstall in general.

Yea, I've got one from MTS.
It's nice having different roads.  Grin

Nice stuff.
I'm not much of a Star wars fan myself though.
Keep up the good work.

Now if only my printer would let me print it in a nice manner...
It keeps trying to half print across pages instead of it all nice and tidy.

Oh well...

Oooh, I love the Graves one.

Quite Clever.  Grin

This has made my day.
With the time away from awesome mod, Alot has changed.
So I'm getting to explore alot of new features.

Yay for Two brains working together to please all!
68  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Supreme Commander on: 2009 July 20, 00:15:37
I didn't say that site was slow, I said The Places I "Lurk" are slow.

I mostly hang around SS and such, they don't update so much on mods.
So please don't assume I meant that Site.

I'll try not to ask for things in Requests so much.
Simply was curious if such a thing was possible, not that it had to be done by them.
69  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Supreme Commander on: 2009 July 19, 21:06:37
Eh, It happens.

I'm Glad to hear that though!
I'll try to keep my ears open for any word of it getting done.
The places I lurk tend to be slow on this kind of information.
70  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Supreme Commander on: 2009 July 19, 20:39:37
I asked this in another forum if it was possible, They told me to ask here.

My question is, is there anyway that Just the Supreme Commander Could be mixed with Indie's Story progression?

I prefer the Indie mod, But I've heard the Supreme Commander is quite useful.
If there is any possible way that it could be done. I'd be most grateful.
