1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Is this a trait thing or is my sim just THAT bored.. on: 2009 August 11, 00:03:37
I have a sim who lives purely for chairs, I think. Whenever he's home, he sits in a chair for a few minutes.. gets up, and crosses the house to sit in another chair. And so on and so on.
I'm not quite sure if this is because of his traits.. He's an evil, outdoor hating, heavy sleeping, insane loner...  or because I've modded out most of their autonomous actions.
None of my other sims on this lot or any other do the chair thing, so I don't think I can blame it purely on the mods.

I haven't played that many insane sims. Is this normal (sort of) ?
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: SavedSims not showing up in CAS on: 2009 August 10, 23:58:28
I had that problem, and posted here about it earlier.

Anyway. I'm not really sure what I did to fix it. I played around with moving files, deleting, reinstalling them.. and eventually with enough playing it just appeared as normal.

I'm sorry I can't give exact steps. I was doing everything I could and every few minutes I'd relaunch the game to see if it did anything. My guess is just to do that.

No. The Library bin is fine. When I go to CAS and open up the bin, only four of my saved ones show up.
The library has everything I didn't delete, but not nearly all of the sims I had in the CAS bin.

Thanks for the reply.

I tried that earlier. Reinstalled every one and reloaded the game: Same thing.

Tried searching, no luck. Does no one else have this problem?
I just updated to 1.3 after tons of fixing. Ran the game. My old neighbourhood is FUBAR but I could make a new one no problem. Tried making a new sim and all the sims in the bin are gone, save for four.
I can see them in the SavedSims all 51 beautiful saved sims.

My wonderment: Why won't they show up ingame?

Edit: Thanks for all your help. I'm not really sure happened. I was flipping between messing around in the folders and opening the game repeatedly and suddenly everything's shown up again. Sort of a weird problem, and I still don't even know how it happened!

You know, for some gosh-darned reason I completely forgot all ideas of cheats when I was trying to kill them off. Maybe a part of me just likes sticking two people in a room and watching them slowly die..

God. Should I be worried?

I posted a link to this thread on GOS but apparently it got deleted.
It makes me wonder if some people are ignorant enough not to listen when someone shouts SPYWARE!. I personally think you should listen to things like that.. but pah, it's my fault for trying to share a heads up. Their computers.
... I'm going to go install more virus killers.

I use Aikea's female body, faces and eyes and Tummyza's male body (mostly because my main CC hunting ground is GOS) Tummyza's skins are awesome, definitely a lot less... well, EAxis-y.
I used Aikea's male body before then too, and I didn't notice any lighting problem.. but then again, I probably wasn't looking properly.

Moved a big family into the Goth lot earlier today. It was an older file, so Cornelia and Gunther were getting pretty old. Gunther had a day to go and his wife had two. So, I did what any sensible person would and I locked them in a cube for three days. Neither died, though they did complain a lot. Eventually, I started to feel pity for them and let them out. They were starving at this point, and I saw no reason to change that. I let them bathe, sleep and clean the house but whenever they'd start inching towards the kitchen I'd send them right back out.
After a few days of this, I sent them out to that little stone henge imitation and had them stand there for a day. They kept trying to escape, but finally just resigned themselves to chatting. I think they lost hope.
So, the starving moodlet would keep going down, warning me of this "needless death" I'd be incurring on them but as soon as it would hit the end of the timer, it would start again at 8 hours.

Eventually I let them go back to the house. I walked away from the computer for a minute and in that short span of time, Gunther kicked the bucket after peeing himself all over the floor but what's-her-face has lasted another 5 days. She doesn't seem to be dying anytime soon.

I have their lifespan set on 50 days.. so why are they living to 60+ EVEN when starving?
