If I recall right, if you gave a teen the paedobait trait, they were more susceptible, and more likely to accept the advances of an adult.
52  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2014 October 31, 19:49:39
There already is a 'Registered Sex Offender' trait, which you acquire via being caught acting on the Pedophile trait.

As for your question on changing the name of a trait, it depends.  If the name string is stored in a XML, then yes, changing it is fairly simple.

If I remember correctly, the name that appears on the trait is "paedophile", but I could be wrong.  As a paedophile is usually adult to child, I would rather have it say sex offender for adult to teen.  Not that I use that these days as I have another mod that bypasses everything.  Just wanted to know how easy changing the name would be, for personal preference.
53  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2014 October 31, 16:24:06
I was wondering if it was easy, or possible, for the end user to modify AM to change the wording for the paedophile trait to something like "registered Sex Offender" or just "Sex Offender", or is this component buried too deep in the scripting system?

Very happy to see a reloaded release, would love to switch over.  Only thing is I'm not sure how either system deals with patches right now.  Anyone know how to patch either Origin Cracked or Reloaded game?
Would you not patch normally as you would any other pirated game? Replace the crack with real .exe, patch, re-crack?

Unless I am missing something, don't you need to use Origin to install patches for TS4?  I was wondering the same thing, are the patches available independently of Origin? especially as the latest reloaded is supposedly Origin free.

The dorm worked nicely for my sims time at Uni, but now the game won't reload the home world to send them home.  The loading bar goes almost all the way then hangs, it has happened before, but I can't remember how I resolved it before, because I stopped using the Uni world and would cheat to give them degrees instead, to save the headaches when things like this happen.  Time for more trouble shooting, which seems weird because it is just the Uni world that this happens with.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Utilidorm for University on: 2014 October 18, 17:47:39
I removed the tubes closest to the front door, leaving the ones in the corner, then moved the mirrors and doors for the dorm rooms next to the tubes, so the door was as far away from the tubes as possible.  I then replaced the tubes half a tile width away from the other set, they went in without having to use the move objects cheat.  If I remember, I could have gone a full tile width apart without any problems.  The other set, I just picked up and moved, then hit the esc key so they would snap back into position.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Utilidorm for University on: 2014 October 17, 17:05:23
Did you go and edit Uni, place the lot and return to main game and save? That is the process I followed when I placed the lot this time.
That's what I did both times I tried it.  Into edit town from my home world, into edit uni world then returned and saved (using "save as" so I had a fall back save to return to if things messed up badly).

That's all I can figure with the difference. I never had sims added to the household though, that's weird.
I have one thing left that I can think of to try, and that is move my sims into a regular dorm and see what happens. Maybe the traveler mod, or something else, has completely screwed the game and uni world.

Update:  Finally solved the problem, the stupid Nrass portrait Panel was causing the problems.  I added that some time back when both MC and AM failed to disallow overstuffed houses when set to do so.  Also modified the elevator tubes slightly and they work perfectly for everyone.
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Utilidorm for University on: 2014 October 17, 01:22:58
I'll have to experiment and see if I can work out what happened.  I did place it on a different lot, I wonder if that caused the problem?

Update: Just tried placing this on an existing dorm lot to see what would happen, same thing, when the game moved in the extra sims, they became added to my active household and controllable.  Really bizarre, the lot is listed and shows in game as a dorm, like it should.
59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Utilidorm for University on: 2014 October 16, 20:32:15
I got the dorm placed nicely, but had a couple of problems after moving my sims in.  First was they wouldn't use the tubes unless I directly clicked on the and selected which floor to send them too, a minor issue which has occurred in my sims house, and easily fixed by replacing them.  The second and biggest issue was when the game created the extra roomies to fill the dorm, they were actually added to my household as controllable, last thing I need/want is a household of 8+ sims (unless they are all mine sent to Uni).

Have you had issue with the extra sims being added to your active household?

Not sure if this is some kind of bug or not, but while playing last night, my plumbot had a birthday and aged to elder and promptly had his body disappear, all that was visible was a grey haired wig, really weird, I would have expected an older plumbot to simply breakdown and be unrepairable.  I turned the debug interactions on and was able to click on the wig and select a death option to get rid of him.  Is this normal behaviour or is/was something screwed up?
61  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2014 October 14, 17:57:44
Last time I test travelled to the future the world lost 75 Sims, both residents and homeless.
This is with an AM config of UseAwesomeStoryDriver set to True but story mode disabled in the game options.

This configuration means no story progression, wouldn't you need story progression to enable to game to spawn the needed sims?  I don't bother checking the homeless list, etc. but haven't really noticed the issues you are seeing with families and sims that were previously there disappearing.  If I take along time between visits, resulting in massive changes in the home world, I expect the future world to be different as it recreates descendants and other characters based on the current state of the present.  But there always seems to be plenty of sims in the future when I visit.

Vacation worlds are a different matter as the game wasn't designed to create families and family progression.  As a result they age and die and eventually no one is left other than what the game spawns to staff registers or respond to adventures.  I now use Nrass traveler to freeze the age in the vacation worlds to combat that problem.  The previously mentioned method of resetting the vacation worlds makes a mess of the future world, so I switched to the age freeze to make life easier.

63  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: New patch rollout - ghosts, pools and careers on: 2014 October 14, 17:44:16
Maxis is game developer of EA.

So why do people keep thinking Maxis is an independent stand alone company?  They were bought out/merged/taken over by EA along time ago, and EA after screwing everything up, reincorporated the old Maxis log into the games in an attempt to make people happy and make them think the old Maxis was back and somehow in control again.

It is so unbelievable the number of people who have bought it, and seem to think Maxis is back as some kind of independent company.  Put simply, Maxis IS EA.

I'll have to experiment and see what I come up with as I like the futuristic dorm and want to use it for my sims,  I have recently started using the Nrass Traveler to make Isla Paradisio a vacation world so my sims can do the scuba diving stuff, so next time I am playing I'll have to mess with Uni and try and see what I can make work before I send my sim there.  At least I know the worst case scenario is removing one of the existing dorms and replacing it with this will make it work as a dorm.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Utilidorm for University on: 2014 October 11, 17:54:37
Is there a way to make a new lot behave like a dorm lot, rather than demolishing an existing dorm?
66  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Major bug warning on: 2014 October 10, 01:59:56
More proof that they don't actually test their shit before releasing it to the public.  I still find it amazing that after 3 incarnations of the game, they still haven't learnt anything and improved the way they do things.
67  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: New patch rollout - ghosts, pools and careers on: 2014 October 10, 01:56:24
Those fucks at Maxis seem to have learned a thing or two from their complete failure of a game that was Sim City 2013. Add all the shit in that should have been there in the first place and then rape us in the ass with a hundred expansions and DLC.

Why do people think that Maxis is a separate and unique identity from EA?
68  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2014 September 27, 01:32:50
Noticed a new version of AM is up, just need to check the RTFM and get some game time to see if I can find what it has changed.
69  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 Super Mod foundation already? on: 2014 September 27, 01:29:36
Pescado isn't making sims 4 mods?! FUCK! I shouldn't have even bought this piece of shit then. These games don't even become bearable until he fixes the ten billion annoying things the sims want to do.

At this point in time I don't think Pes has made a firm and solid decision one way or the other.  From what I have read, I don't know if Pes could even fix this game given the mess EAxis made of it, possibly a few of the glitches and irritations could be ironed out, but not sure about the rest.
70  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Recommendations for a good FPS limiter? on: 2014 September 27, 01:23:11
So then I checked my frame rate limit in the config file and it says FrameRateLimit 200 is that bad?

Given the conversation and the stated frame rates people are trying to achieve, what the fuck do you think?
71  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2014 September 15, 01:25:20
Not sure if you are still doing fixes or not, but I am having problems with the game and plumbots.

The most annoying is when I click on a birthday cake and select a baby or toddler to blow out candles, the game decides to have the family plumbot take the baby/toddler to the cake, but if the plumbot doesn't have the nanny chip they can't/won't pick up the sprog to carry to the cake so the whole thing gets dropped from the queue.  As a result I either have to wait until the sprog ages at 2100 hrs (or whatever time), or send the plumbot off the home lot.  Is there anyway to exclude the plumbots from being selected for this action?

The other annoyance is when I switch to a different family and back, sometimes without even unpausing the game, my plumbot, who doesn't have the office drone chip, has a job.  I realise that making them sacred would prevent this, but then I have issues with the extra traits if I forget to remove the sacred.  Given that plumbots supposedly need to have the office drone chip to get a job, how the fuck does the game manage to give them a job without it?  and is there a way to prevent it?  The only way you know they have a job is because the message for the car pool pops up, or if I go into the phone and look under the jobs/employment option, there is a quit work option, yet the work tab is still greyed out because they supposedly can't work without the office drone chip.

See and this is why I think they would be better off if they just leveled with people instead of bullshitting them. It's like how they insisted Sim City could not have an offline mode due to how it was made. And then they made one.  Roll Eyes

Off topic here, but when did they modify sim city for offline play?
73  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2014 September 11, 01:14:38
I needed Twallan's MC to check how the baby was going. I never removed these three other mods to check yet. But Twallan's MC without AM worked fine in my game. No freeze.

I consider the interference of the other listed mods to be extremely unlikely, as the only one of those I don't have is this Master Controller. Which neighborhood is this Evandale thing?
Evansdale County is a custom world here. I'll try to test it without MC the next time I run my game.

I have used MC and AM for along time now without any conflict problem, I also use several other twallan mods, such as overwatch, traffic, shooless, just to name a few, and they all play nice with AM.  The only Twallan mod I am aware of that will cause problems is using woohooer to try and bypass the AM restriction on teen-adult woohoo, twallan even says it will crash the came.

Did you create a custom tuning file for MC or use the dafult settings?  maybe a setting you have in MC is causing a problem?  Just some brainstorming.
74  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 is out what's the scoop? on: 2014 September 08, 23:55:16
Can someone just clarify for me, from what I have read, the game isn't an open hood like TS3, but lot based as with TS2?  Some comments and screenshots make it hard to tell.  If it is like TS2, what happens with the time when you return you your home lot, does it return to the time you left like in TS2, or does it continue, and can you switch between multiple lots to attend to multiple family members needs/wants?  From what has been posted, it seems like the hood aging is somewhere between TS2 and TS3, with some aging and some not?

I am still very much undecided on TS4 and these issues would help decide whether to try now, or wait a few months and see what the future brings with the next EP/SP and any patches they might throw out there.
75  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Sims 4 Annoyance & Problem Thread. on: 2014 September 08, 12:11:56
Route failure has always been an issue in every sims game to date, why is everyone so surprised it still exists in the latest reincarnation?

Because they promised it would be improved in TS4.

And everyone knows the value of an EAxis promise.  Given all the things they promised to fix in TS2 and 3, yet didn't, it is clear they don't know the meaning of the word.
