I have Allow Overstuffed Houses enabled, I have 4 sims in my family and the rest are ensorceled sims.

I know I have used this feature before and it seemed to work, but I probably wasn't doing an ensorcelment.

Now, I can have more than 8, but I only have 8 sims on the UI - so the oldest ones drop off and are not controllable.

I have stopped using mods for a while (due to bugs) and just reinstalled JUST AM and the config - am I missing something to get this to work?

Working as intended. Compendium added to more compendium does not count the value of the compendium for compoundment, because otherwise, it takes only about 100 transformations to blow out int64, and math issues will start appearing well before then when you blow out int32. Therefore, ONLY the value of the non-compendium/supernovium metals are increased. Otherwise you've got a huge unlimited money exploit to the point where it will physically bork the game, and only the idiots at EAxis who failed math couldn't see that.

Creating a single item worth several quadrillion is BAD JUJU.

I wonder if you could let this be OUR decision, in the configuration, as to how we want compendium to calculate, since clearly the game does use ALL the input ingots (compendium and supernovium no exception) to calculate the value of the output when you run with no mods at all.

I mean, I was having my sims spend forever transfiguring, now I have to decide when to stop being greedy and just sell the compendium already, before the bank breaks.   I have sold a 22 million compendium and have another 67 million one sitting around, and I don't think they are really going to break the math, I can always just start another piece....

Compendium is not working right.

If I transfigure compendium and put a compendium as one of the eight metals going in, it takes all the metals EXCEPT the compendium to increase the value for the output compendium.

I am running the game with no mods at all now, and the compendium is calculated as part of the input (which it is).   So I assume it is an awesomemod bug...

Gardening - and Overwatch...

I have never used Overwatch, only barely heard of it.   But it is recommended as a fix for my gardening problem.

My sims planted on a public lot, but as far as I can tell from ea posts from other people it's a problem on home lots as well.

The garden has grown to harvest.  I tell my sim either to Harvest or Tend Garden - either way, they do one plant, get a jump bug.  So it doesn't matter if I tell them to do the next plant, they drop the queue.

Also, it seems like plants are not harvesting again.  Nine days into a trip to China, the garden was planted on day 1 - and the apple, grape, tomato, lettuce only harvested once.  Now they always say they are in harvest mode but no fruit/veggies.

So, is there an awesome fix for this?   Can I run Overwatch with Awesomemod?   Should I just pester EA, which means I have to run cheat free which really blows.   This mod really IS AWESOME.

Awesome Build 09/04/2012 22:41:42, game is vanilla with all EPs, all SPs up to MasterSuite and only Awesome:
Some of the configurable options don't seem to work. Those that I noticed are PlantOnAnyLot and NoBabyDisintegration. Babies and toddlers hibernate as soon as all teens and adults are out and planting on community lots is not possible. The option is there but the placement square stays red. I can plant there only with moveobjects on. I tried in two existing saves and in two fesh games in Sunset Valley, Twinbrook and Moonlight Falls, with and without my config file and with a freshly generated config.

I am having the same problem with planting on public lots.

I tried turning PlantOnAnyLot to false.   Then my sims can't get to having a square on the ground, clicking the seed says they can only plant on a home lot.
I turned it back to true, now I get red squares everywhere, perfectly flat terrain, any lot I could find - my sims are on an Adventure in France.

I loaded to a previous save, the same sim could plant at home, but not on a public lot.   The squares are always red on the public lots, but on the home lot the squares are green.

I am on 1.38 and the corresponding awesomemod.

Moveobjects on does fix it - then they get green squares on public lots.

Thanks!

D Malachi -

You have me totally confused with that debug thing you mentioned.   I don't see debug, debug:, or Add, or AddToFamilyInventory as valid commands.

Is there a way to enter other debug commands besides the normal ctrl-shift-c?   What is it?

Thanks for the note about Ambitions, but I figure I still have a ways to go enjoying the base game yet....

And if I CAN'T give them this gift, oh well, I really either ought to let them be townies or figure out how to really play more than one household.

But my main household has 11 people in it now, and one is a baby and one is a pregnant woman who has had fertility treatment and has had twins before.   I guess I moved those "just turned young adults" out for a reason, but now I'm feeling a little sorry for them.

7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / How to GIVE other households items on: 2010 October 10, 18:01:51
I noticed the "Open Fambly Inventory" option with awesomemod, and it made me think I could give another household something (like an upgraded teleportation device or other such thing money can't buy)...

Well, I can't put those items in my Sim's inventory, so I have no clue how to give them to the other family.

I can't see any realistic way to get this feature to work.

Am I doing something wrong?

The CAS relationship thing is fixed.

But the naps on benches/lawn furniture still crashes.   I changed from having them sleep at the gym to sleeping at home on park benches - but they still crash a bit into their second nap.

I am fast-forwarding - it was automatic since they all were "sleeping".....

I have a family of three (A man, a teenage boy, a child girl) napping (repeatedly) on the lounge chairs at the gym, fast-fowarding.  Just switching to Dad - my computer booted me out - with a Switch-to thingie - no idea why - and the Sims 3 (there at first), went away....

Should I give anyone any logs?

Well, maybe they'll get luckier with fishing this time....

I started fresh with a new neighborhood, no custom content, no cheats other than awesomemod.

In CAS - I cannot edit relationship.  I get into the screen, but I can't drag any sims to others to denote their relationships.

It picks any old picture it seems and never brings up the dialog to let me say what the relationship is.

Going to do CAS with no awesomemod - then go back to testing awesomemod....

I was going to try the SupremeCommander for a while, since my game isn't too crazy yet.

There's so much on SupremeCommander in searched, but I search can't find much of a guide to using it.

I wish it was stickied or something.

Anybody know where one is hiding?

Thanks for the last comment.

I got the awesomemod when I wanted the older daughter to move out of Mom and Dad's house.

For a whlie, playing two households was fine.

Now, I was stupid and kept Mom and Dad alive, Younger brother married and they have a baby.

Older daughter across the street married and has a toddler.

Wow, it's getting hard to play the daytime, particularly the morning.   Especially with the darn babies/toddlers.  And both young women are pregnant.  What did I do to myself?Huh

And how in the WORLD do I play a third generation.

I really like being able to go out around town more easily, but....   Darn EA, what were they thinking.   Didn't they see our old challenges.

Well, I'll try the last suggestion and deal with the money/moodlet things.

Sorry to post new, but I've searched until I am blue in the face and don't see an answer for this.

I assumed I want to turn storymode progression off.  I did.  Well, all my houses are on the same date and time anyway.

The ones I care about and checked are Sacred - whatever that is supposed to mean, and I haven't quite figured that out either.

Is "storymode progression" not about it being able to be different days and times at different houses - like it was in the Sims 2?

And what is "Sims 2 Style Aging" in awesomemod?

Maybe I just have the wrong options set, but whatever I try, it's always the same date and time in my two different houses I care about.   And my sims invariably spend loads of time standing by the side of the bed when they wake up, and I've forgotten it's that time, even though I have logs of when everybody is supposed to wake up....

Please don't tell me it's back I switched active houses by control-clicking and "switch to" with the awesomemod - and if it IS that - is there a safe way to change active households?

Sorry I micromanage my sims, but I do....

14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Warning if you remove Awesomemod for any reason on: 2009 July 09, 15:46:28
I had a couple of bugs, wasn't sure if they were the base game or not.

I removed the awesomemod - but I should have done this first:

Made sure I was in the household I wanted to test before I exited the game

Took EVERYTHING out of the refrigerator and stored in inventories - the fridges got raided - oh boy the loss of death fish and life fruit and so   on....

When I fired up the game with no awesomemod - I lost the fridge contents, and all my locked wishes were gone.   Ugh.

So just a word of warning.  However, at least in my quest, I did find one bug to be on EA origiin, still had the problem with no awesomemod....

15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Refrigerator Portal - how does it work? on: 2009 July 06, 18:26:18
I installed the awesomemod - only game cheat I am using.

Now I felt confident and had my young adult sim move out of her parents  house on her own.

Maybe because she used to live there - but she has an option on her parents house says to "Open Refrigerator Portal".

Sounds great!   But I click to open the refrigerator portal - and it LOOKS LIKE I was in the house and did an open on the refrigerator.   However, I can't seem to drag anything between the refrigerator and her inventory - it doesn't work at all - nothing takes to dragging at all.

I've done this dragging a million times in a regular  household - sims lives there - do an open on the refrigerator, drag things around (like get more bait for the guy who is way out there fishing....).

Is this a bug on the option?
