1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 1.3 patch stupidificated the sims. on: 2009 July 30, 13:49:38
When she was in the red zone for tiredness and I sent her to bed, she got in bed, stayed for a half second, jumped up out of bed and passed out on the floor.

Dumb, just dumb.
To be fair, they did that pre-patch too.
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Install 1.3 update or not? on: 2009 July 28, 22:52:53
People posted on a thread in "The Horror, The Horror!' that playing with Awesomemod and/or Indie and the new patch caused the game to CTD.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Work Performance Facts on: 2009 July 28, 22:31:27
From what I've noticed, a sim will be in the red for hunger, but won't eat at work until proper eating hours, depending on the time they work (for example, a night shift worker will eat a dinner meal at 18:00 or so). Even if their hunger is super low when they leave for work, they won't eat until a certain hour is triggered, as far as I've seen.
I've seen the same.  Kids at school and adults working day jobs eat only at either 12:30 or 13:30, even if they're halfway to starvation.

The Sims 3 now supports more than 2000 concurrent save games.

...damn.  Was there some sort of problem with people not having enough save slots?  That's a lot of saves.

Sims can no longer "Try for Baby" with the Grim Reaper.

Stupid question, but were they ghosts?  Ghostly spawn automatically enroll in elementary school, but not high school (at least, this has been the case for the 6 ghostly spawn I've raised thus far).
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Fireplaces suck. on: 2009 July 26, 15:23:31
The most expensive fireplace has auto-lights out of the box, so you can upgrade it to fireproof without losing your pretty green flames.

Can't you click on the mausoleum and use "Manage the Dead"?
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Download overriding my Eye Replacements on: 2009 July 21, 04:11:36
When you deleted your Resource.cfg, you replaced it with a new one, right?  Because no mod can run without it.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 19, 21:53:50
Why are the install instructions for installing her files different than cc from other sites? The hairs and the lingerie on her site all have a resource.cfg file that you're supposed to put in the root game folder, but what's the purpose of it?
It's identical to the Resource.cfg that should already be in your Mods folder.  Just ignore it.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: File that decides Maxis "townies"' names on: 2009 July 13, 20:11:56
Thanks for telling us where in the STBL they are, jordi.

Is there any particular reason there are two copies of every name?  I have two instances of Aaron, Abbott, Austin, etc.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: is there a way to turn off opporunities or allow the sim to decide themselves? on: 2009 July 12, 13:05:28
Your link is broken, and Indie Stone conflicts with Awesomemod.
So it is, oops.  So far as I know, there's no other mod that allows you to disable opportunities and the like, so...there's not much else the OP can do.  He could always do a wolfing run on Indie Stone, and then swap Awesomemod back in when he actually wants to play.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: is there a way to turn off opporunities or allow the sim to decide themselves? on: 2009 July 12, 12:21:52
ISSPR allows you to let the game run infinitely without you doing anything.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Traits Cheat Sheet - Work in Progress on: 2009 July 12, 05:56:19
Insane sims will queue up strange actions if you leave them alone, like "put away" with an icon of a space ship, or a beach ball, or some other random thing that isn't there. There will get a little upset when they can't do it. I also once had an insane sim get a want to imply someones mother was a llama.
Mine also get bizarre queues when left alone.

Has anyone else noticed Insane sims getting fetishes?  I have one Insane sim who, when left to her own devices, sits in every chair in the house.  She sits down for 5 minutes, gets up, and moves to another chair, and she'll do this until her motives decay enough to force her to do something else.  I've yet to see another sim behave this way.  Are Insane sims prone to queueing up the same actions over and over?
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Strange graphical glitch when i zoom in to the stadium on: 2009 July 09, 13:01:21
Huh, I have a GMA 3100, and the game runs perfectly, even when I crank up the graphics to high.  Yay, lucky graphics card?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Does the Vegetarian Trait affect anything besides food choices? on: 2009 July 03, 04:23:39
Funny thing.  I eat meat therefore I get plenty of protein, potassium, and a lot of amino acids that aren't in any other food source. When I shop for groceries I'm not looking for food substitutes I'm buying food (whether it be meat, fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, etc.).  I rarely see a vegan or vegetarian NOT look for a meat substitute while shopping.  I see products like tofu being advertised for their meat-like qualities and all kinds of weird things like that.  (I have tried tofu and that stuff is darned disgusting.) If a particular style of eating is good for a person, why do they need to be looking for substitutes for the foods they don't eat?  I don't eat much in the line of grains and I don't bother looking for grain substitutes.  I don't eat processed sugar, and I also don't use sugar substitutes.
This.  The more I find out about food, the more I'm realizing it doesn't actually matter what you're eating, so long as it's actually food and not some strange chemical walking around pretending to be food.

Also, all the talk about peaches being like baby heads is making me want to chomp on the peaches sitting on my counter.  Mmmm, peaches!  I like fuzzy food; it tickles when you eat it!
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wishes that don't fulfill on: 2009 June 29, 21:22:55
I can't get Gold Digger LTW to fulfill.  My sim married a rich man.  I killed him.  She sees his ghost every night.  No wish fulfillment has ever occurred.  So far as the game tells me, I've met every requirement of the LTW.  It is...aggravating.

I didn't know there were so many apparently broken wishes though.  Way to beta-test, EAxis.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Work Performance Facts on: 2009 June 28, 23:24:08
Ok thanks.  I'll try earlier next time.
If I sit there and watch the pouty faces will I actually see them improve while my sim is at work?
Yes.  Sometimes my sims don't wake up in time to use the bathroom or eat before work/school, and their mood quickly tanks until (a) they find a toilet, and (b) it's lunch time.  I can see the mood change once their motives are fulfilled; all other factors should change the some way as well.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 28, 23:14:22
I like Sims 3 because it's the first game that, straight out of the box, will actually run on my computer for more than 15 minutes straight without suffering some fatal error that necessitates the restarting of my entire computer.  I torrented Sims 2 for giggles, and Sims 3 actually runs better than 2 on my computer.  Craziness.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Slower eating, faster cooking. on: 2009 June 28, 18:38:14
I believe eating ones favorite meal gives them a 'great meal' moodlet even if the meal itself is not that great of a quality. At least my one sim whose favorite is mac and cheese gets that even when her mother cooks normal quality.
I had a sim whose favorite meal was cookies get the Great Meal moodlet even when the cookies were of horrifying quality.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: They can autonomously cheat. on: 2009 June 28, 17:35:23
Strange.  I'm currently playing a household that includes 2 Hopeless Romantics (married w/ 3 kids) and a Flirty/Hopeless Romantic unattached sim.  The F/HR sim constantly tries to flirt with the HR husband, but he always rejects her advances.  Their relationship is in the red because F/HR won't knock it off.  Neither member of the HR couple has ever tried to flirt autonomously since they got married (aside from with each other).  The couple's pretty cute.  They get the Lover moodlet whenever they're in the same room, and their relationship is as high as possible.

Maybe just watch his every move and stop any flirting behavior as soon as it starts?
