Other weird stuff is happening. Adult female sim aged to elder before her older sister. In one household, everyone kept changing into work clothes (not a household I was controlling at the time, but visiting). Pretty sure wishes are getting deleted but it's not every time.

Also, probably due to whatever is causing the FindHome issue, no one is dating much (one every couple of sim days), no one is getting married at all, and no one is having babies (except the controlled household).
2  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2017 July 06, 18:39:56
Thanks witch. I don't use any other mods, so it's not that.
3  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2017 July 06, 01:44:48
In addition to having the "FindHome" problem my inventories seem to be getting destroyed, despite having the option to keep them intact set to true in the config.
4  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2017 July 02, 20:51:58
This is partially my fault. Awesomemod kept moving my robots out from the family they were assigned to. As a temp workaround, put robot rechargers in any houses you want to be available for a pool of housing.

Hi. I am having this problem and can't find the robot charger... I'm a bit worried it's only available through the Into the Future EP? Because I don't own that.

Any other work around if so?

Yes, tumblr is down. Thanks for this utterly fascinating insight.

You're welcome.
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 December 12, 23:15:48
I searched and didn't find that this bug was already discussed (apologies if I missed something somewhere): I have furniture going invisible. So far, the train set (what is the purpose of the train set anyway?) and one of the vanity dresser things.
7  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request: Umbrellas do not degrade on: 2012 December 12, 22:54:38
It would be nice to have that incorporated into AM, but in case Pescado doesn't want to add something that can be handled with a tiny XML mod, this should do what you're looking for.

I, like IAmCat, prefer not to add lots of hacks to my game, which is buggy enough as it is. However, I did try to follow your link, and I also googled "editsim no more broken umbrellas" as well as a few other phrases, and I'm guessing... tumbr is down? I'll try again tomorrow I guess.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request: Umbrellas do not degrade on: 2012 December 06, 02:50:47
Umbrellas are driving me nuts.

I second this. I'd like it to be optional that umbrellas degrade at all. My sims wash their one set of clothing daily without ill effect, why should their umbrellas rot within two days? At worst it should only be a consequence of hurricane winds or something.

Sorry for the necromancy (spork away!). I wanted to request that you please (with sugar on top) create a version of the zombie hack that makes it 0% instead of 3%. Zombies kill my game as I don't have enough RAM (or something--I'm not actually sure what the problem is, just that it makes the game freeze/twitch until I force it to quit).
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 November 05, 03:37:41
I've never pretended anything else.

So, does "architecture" also refer to the chipset, BIOS, device drivers, etc.? Or just the processor? I can't afford to get the pc upgraded to 64-bit at the moment, so I've just got to wait anyway.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EAxis gardening bug on: 2012 November 03, 18:47:13
and it was triggered by moving an existing household into a fresh game.

Yup. That's it.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EAxis gardening bug on: 2012 November 01, 20:32:18
Perhaps my bug is different, then. I don't have Supernatural. I'm patched to 1.39. The only CC I have is EA store stuff (which I'm told can still cause tight pants, in which case, I'm screwed because I have quite a lot of it). In my game, the current fambly's garden is borked in that when gardening, all is fine until the sim tries to harvest. This results in a total queue stomp and minor popping out, not so far as to be out of the garden, but the sim is just suddenly standing by the plant. Produce usually does not appear in their inventory although a few times it still has. I'm hoping this is something that El Presidente can fix in his ever Awesome Mod, however, since I seem to be the only one having this bug appear with my particular set up, I suspect that gardening is just going to be broken in my game.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EAxis gardening bug on: 2012 October 31, 18:23:14
This is an EA coding error that initiates when you have the Gatherer trait and money trees.

What is the Gatherer trait? I don't think I have it in my game. Is it another name for the Green Thumb trait? Is it CC?
14  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 October 31, 18:21:27
As of the latest version (Sept. 30) I still can't get a sim to write horror novel. They pop right out. I've no other CC unless you count EA store hair/clothes/furniture.

You have a lot of problems (ones that no one else has) for someone with "no CC". Tight pants.

So then I take it EA store stuff can cause tight pants? I thought it was only amateur created stuff, like from Peggy or whatever. I appreciate your clarifying that, thank you.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.42 on: 2012 October 31, 18:16:32
I tried to go on the EA site yesterday and today, and I'm getting an "oops" page. I was under the impression EA's Sims business was in the Bay Area, therefore unaffected by Sandy. Am I wrong? Or has the site been permanently changed to the Origin site? Where will I go to ask my truly stupid questions without the forums there?

17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 October 23, 19:07:07
... This time it's the interactions "Tend Garden" "Harvest" and "Weed plant" They used to have your sim do all of the plants on the lot, but now they only do 1-5, and they seem to snap into a different animation when they're done, as well as the occasional teleportation. ...

I have this bug too.

Look, idiots, it's the reset bug and the reset bug is caused by tight pants - so bloody well check your CC and shut the hell up.

I have the same bug, and no CC, unless hair and clothes from the EA store count.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 10, 19:36:52

Good point, although I didn't have a clear idea of how to google that particular question. In any case, thanks to you both for the info, I appreciate it.

ETA: Jayroo, I followed your link, but I'm afraid I'm too ignorant to really understand the information on the page. I can't tell if it's saying my processor can run 64-bit or not. From what I read, the processor isn't the only part that needs to be capable to run 64-bit, anyway. The chipset, BIOS, device drivers, etc., do too, so I don't think I'm near figuring this out anytime soon. I am not well-versed in computers and computer hardware, a weakness I am painfully aware of but don't currently have the time or the resources to remedy. No worries, though, I'll go bug that people on the Anandtech forum with my questions. Smiley
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 08, 23:48:48
You have to have a processor that is capable of running a 64-bit OS as well.

Jezzer, do you know whether my Intel Core 2 6400 is capable?
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 08, 16:44:10
Damn it! I have a 32 bit OS. And the really stupid part is I knew I needed to move to 64 bit last fall when I first started thinking about upgrading the RAM, and then by the time I could afford it, I'd forgotten that little detail. ::headdesk::

Okay, question for you smart folks. If there a "best way" for me to change operating systems? I just googled it and know I can't upgrade. It's going to take a clean install. I run XP. I'm pretty sure the guy who did my RAM upgrade looked at upgrading me to Win 7 and told me my computer can't run it (which is too bad--I have Win 7 at work and I like it). Does that mean it can't run any 64 bit OS? A googling of XP 64 bit tells me there are several editions. Is there one I should choose?

The pc has an Intel Core 2 6400. The video card is decent, an ATI HD 6850.
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Is Error 12 really a RAM issue? on: 2012 September 08, 04:28:10
I ask because I upgraded my pc so it now has 8 gigs of RAM, in large part because I was sick of getting error 12. And... I'm still getting it. It happens no matter how I go about saving (save, autosave, save as), so of course I lose all progress.

Is there a work around?
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomemod Request Thread on: 2012 September 01, 20:56:21
One thing I really like with AM is that way famblies must have a crib to have babies. I'm wondering if you could do the same thing with the pet dish and horse water troughs. That way, no horses in the tiny houses I build for my poor sims. No animals living in a house where they can't be fed, either.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / head-desk-repeat / woes in reinstallation on: 2012 July 10, 03:29:40
I know, by now you wish I would crawl back into my hole. Believe me, *I* wish I could crawl back into my hole. And I promise, I will. As soon as all the kinks are worked out of this reinstallation.

I'm at a point now where I'm reinstalling fpslimiter, 3booter, and, of course, Awesomemod and the Awesome-config. I was sure you had to put them in the following path:

C:/My Docs/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Mods/Packages

This is where everything was before the uninstall, but when I double click on 3Booter, nothing happens. How can it possibly have changed? Does everything go in the Pets folder (the latest ep I have) now? That's a completely different path. My head might explode.

Believe me, the fastest way to get rid of me and not have to see my idiotic questions anymore is to help me get my game running properly again. Thanks in advance.

Much obliged everyone. Problem solved with Tever's fix.

Only because I also fail at acronyms, TPB is a torrent site, with absolutely nothing to do with EA. Google and ye shall find.

socurious, thank you for putting me out of my misery on that one. I actually did try google, and got hits for things like Trailer Park Boys store and The Poultry Bid store, among others. So I figured I wasn't finding my way to it without help. Your pointer to the torrent site will do the trick. Thanks again.
