So this will work with .package format (mine are merged together) store items?

Baby Sims will no longer answer a call from the Callbox and invite Sims in.

I've never seen that one, but it sounds pretty funny. Of course, I've had a baby tell my sim that he was behaving inappropriately before, which made just as little sense.

I'll be waiting until AM is updated before I patch. It does at least look like they finally fixed a good amount of the bugs. I'm sure there's a lot they missed that I can't think of at the moment, though.

Several of my sims are friends with or dating vampires. If they invite the vampire to their home lot, a group is automatically formed. Then, the second that the vampire arrives at the lot, he/she decides that they are incredibly bored and very literally turns right around and leaves. Even if I have my sim out on the sidewalk waiting for them, I don't have time to interact with them.

This never happens with non-vampires when they are invited over, or if I invite a vampire out. However, it's incredibly annoying.

I've had this too. In my case, I was trying to have my sim have a baby with a vampire she was dating. I had my sim originally visit his place, but his roommates kicked her out since they were jealous (I have AM so it wasn't supposed to happen) so that's why I tried to have him come to her house. In the end, I just switched to his household and had him visit her house and it worked.

I ran into a weird glitch last night. I was playing the Hemlock family and I bought that reward that lets you change your favorites for the husband and just changed his favorite color and music type. After I did that, everyone in the family suddenly had regular types of food as their favorites instead of O Positive. I don't think that was supposed to happen.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Bridgeport With Cribs (And Ceilings) on: 2010 November 10, 14:03:12
I only realized after reading this thread that I have NEVER seen a kid in Bridgeport yet younger than a teenager. And I only ever saw two or three teenagers.

There are some. The Striker and Hemlock families both have a toddler. And there's two kids; Deirdre Littler and Jupiter Belle. There's around 6 teens, I think.

ETA: I'm also getting the jealousy-type thing for Sims who aren't even romantic interests of people who flirt at a party. My Sim has lost friends twice because of a Sim FRIEND who flirted with someone else, causing a relationship hit for EVERYONE at the party. Granted, the Sim was flirting with someone outside of his/her marriage, but what should the other Sims care?

Did EA do something to ramp up jealousy and anger re romantic interests?  Seems much more intense since installing NL?

The jealousy in the game is driving me nuts. I keep having sims lose friends just because they happened to have a one night stand with the same person. If they're not in a relationship, it just doesn't make sense for them to get jealous.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 07, 07:04:20
I was finally able to play more extensively now that I replaced my broken motherboard with a much nicer one and while I was at it, I replaced the processor, RAM and went from XP to Windows 7. The first thing I noticed is how despite having much better, new hardware, Bridgeport still runs like crap. The whole city just seemed really slow and the textures were taking forever to load. I haven't tried any of the other towns yet, though. It eventually got somewhat better, but it still seemed pretty slow. I made two sims and had them go out and check out the clubs at night and they worked during the day. One was a musician (music career) and the other got a job in the acting career so both were low level celebs eventually.

Of the opportunities I kept getting, (mostly from their agents, or in the actress's case, as part of her job) a lot of them wouldn't work because they wanted the sim to go to a location that didn't exist like city hall or Doo-Peas Corporate Tower. I'd go to the equivalent, but there would be no option to complete the opportunity, so I'd have to cancel it.

The musician sim got an opportunity from her agent to dance at Aquarius for 3 hours. I sent her there, and when I tried to send her up the elevator, it would just drop from queue after a few seconds. I checked the lobby, and there were several sims all standing around, which included the bouncers and the mixologists. Apparently, none of them could get on the elevator either. I left and came back the next night, and the elevators were working again, but later I found the same issue at another club, I think Prosper Room.

My musician sim ended up dating one of the vampires, Beau Merrick. They weren't committed, just romantic interests. One day I had my sim visit him at his apartment and after my sim kissed him, Beau's 3 roommates all gathered around and acted upset like he had cheated on them and I got a message about how my sim was behaving inappropriately and would have to leave if she kept it up. I hadn't seen any sims getting jealous unless they were dating, engaged or married to the sim, but I doubted he was in a committed relationship with all of them, so I had my sim ask him if he was single, and he said he was, but after that, his roommates kicked my sim out. At this point, I decided to switch to his household to see what was going on. He's not in a relationship with any of them. They're just listed as romantic interests. So I switched back and had my other sim go from friends to romantic interest with another sim that my musician had been with and is still listed as a romantic interest with. I then had the musician in the room with the actress and the guy and she was able to kiss him and the other sim didn't get jealous at all.

Boy, EA's Morocco set sure looks familiar somehow.

Isn't that set at Parsimonious just a recolor of the Sims 2 base game meshes? It's been awhile since I played TS2, but I'm pretty sure the store set is just a remake of the Moroccan set that came with the base game.

I was reading a thread on MTS where people are saying that the patch broke several custom windows. Apparently, the wall cut-outs aren't working for them and some are apparently causing crashes. Has anyone here had that problem? I have around 50 custom windows and I would try them all, but I'm in the process of weeding out most of my cc and re-merging the packages to see if it helps with my game problems.

Damn Borken Stupid UI, Gaais! No more custom Skins Sad as they cause the stupid create a sim to act stupid, you wont be able to change skin colors, sex and you wont have new sliders. :/

I'm still using custom skins without any problem. I just removed Rez Delnava's UI mod and everything was fine. I created a new sim using one of LFB's non-default skintones. I just used the scroll wheel on my mouse to scroll through all my non-default skintones.

I noticed that Sims don't earn skill points whilst at the gym in Bridgeport. I only tried it with one sim so it could just be him but meh, annoying.

Also having the whole empty hot spots issue. The busiest it got were three other sims. Crazy, it was not.

I had my sim go to the gym in Bridgeport after she got an opportunity from her "agent" to work out for 4 hours straight. She had no athletic skill points, but by the time she was done, she was at level 3. So I was able to gain skillpoints there.

I have noticed the lack of sims at the clubs and bars. Most of the bars that weren't "hot spots" had at most 1 sim not including the bouncer & bartender. The so-called hot spots had at most 4 people. I thought it could have just been because my sim was a celeb and a lot of the sims that tried to show up were turned away by the bouncers. But when I went to a club without a bouncer that was supposed to be busy, the same happened. More people would show up, but the people who were there would leave.

After my first few minutes of playing NL, I ended up quitting because I needed to remove a mod that wasn't working anymore. When I went back to play the game, as soon as it finished loading my save, the game crashed to the desktop. I restarted and this time it loaded and I was able to play for a few sim days when the game got glitchy. I was playing a couple and I had the guy go visit a friend's apartment while his wife stayed home. After a few minutes, I noticed the roommates of his friend were both showing in low res mode. I switched back to the wife, and found she was completely invisible, just a floating plumbob. I went to save and quit since I figured maybe restarting would fix it, except it sat on the saving screen for like 30 minutes without doing anything. I ended up having to kill the process in task manager, which I'm sure has corrupted my save.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 October 28, 02:46:10
I noticed the thing with the camera mode being impossible to use in an apartment. I hope it can be fixed.

I didn't play long enough for my sim to sleep, but I'm curious if HP's No Zzz's mod will still work or not. I noticed that there are a ton of vampires in the city. I don't see how the people who don't like vampires would be able to really avoid them. Just in the short time I played, I ran across like 6 of them.
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Anach's Sims 3 Mods - Updated 12 July 2010 on: 2010 October 28, 02:26:21
I had your Unlock All mod and it needs updating for LN. When I had it in, I couldn't buy anything from the bookstore or the grocery store. Both buy menus just came up blank like there was nothing for sale. I don't know if any of your other mods need updating or not, though.
65  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2010 October 27, 00:15:03
Will the current released version work with LN? I understand there will be bugs, but was just curious if it was at least playable.
 Roll Eyes

Nope. The current version won't work if you install LN or the newest patch. You'll have to wait.

I don't trust it. I'll just wait for the Vitality or Reloaded version.

Late Night is released in America today, isnīt it? I searched the whole day for a torrent, but there is only fake stuff available.

It will be out eventually, you just have to be patient. It's still early.

Did anyone get the pre-order bonus? I'm not sure if it was GameStop exclusive or not, but it was two hairstyles and two community lots.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / New Patch 1.17/2.12/3.8/4.5/5.2 on: 2010 October 26, 16:37:57
New patch is released. I don't have the full numbers since I have to patch manually due to a messed up Launcher.

Base Game Updates

    * Players can now suppress Opportunities by selecting the Opportunities Suppression check box in the Game Options menu. This means players can still get opportunities through interactions, but no opportunities will be automatically directed towards the player.
    * The game can now detect downloaded content and use these objects in Sims' dreams, opportunities, etc.
    * Live Mode
    * Create a Sim
    * Build/Buy Mode
    * Edit Town
    * Additional bug fixes to existing features

World Adventures

    * Additional bug fixes and polish to existing features

Ambitions

    * Additional bug fixes and polish to existing features

I don't quite understand what they mean by suppressing Opportunities.

I am curious if there is a tool or a mod to remove duplicate content from packages that have been installed from de crapified packages?  I probably have overlooked it............. but been looking and haven't seen anything.

Nope. Once they've been combined into .package, you can't remove individual files. That's why you're supposed to keep a backup of all the files you merge so if you want to remove something, you remove it from the backup and remerge the remaining files.

Here's the Contempo End Table:

http://www.mediafire.com/?5yo5atf5tegcezy

Apparently there are new Dr Pepper items. There's a new Stadium & Theater and both look really nice. They look like they belong in a city, so they'll match the new EP. There's also a new TV, cooler and some other stuff. I think a few clothing items as well. Apparently you can't see everything until you enter a code, so I just saw a few of the new things people posted pics of at the official forum. I don't drink Dr Pepper, though, so I don't have any codes, otherwise I'd get a few things.

The first hair is part of the latest Animals Abound set. I'm not sure about the second hair since it's not that unique looking.
73  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Editsim Problem on: 2010 October 14, 02:33:50
I use editsim all the time and I never had any problems. Actually I just used it several times tonight making over townies in my game.
74  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims won't change clothes on: 2010 October 14, 02:32:06
There are interior doors, though. Both bedrooms have bathrooms attached with their own doors and there's a bathroom downstairs that has a door. Plus it worked fine for a few days. Actually, I think it started once they did a load of laundry. I'm thinking it might be caused by the laundry system, so I'm deleting the washers, dryers and hampers from all the houses and I'll probably just clone the two sims and delete the originals.
75  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sims won't change clothes on: 2010 October 13, 14:16:08
I'm having a little problem with my game. I have 2 sims in one household that can't change their clothes at all. They were fine when I first started playing, but one morning in the game, I sent one guy to bed and had the other guy go eat breakfast before work. Once it was time to go to work, my guy got up from the table and spun around like he was going to change for work, but instead he was still in his everyday clothes and the "go to work" dropped from his queue. I figured maybe it was the work outfit, so I had him quit work, but then I noticed the roommate had woken up, but wouldn't come downstairs to eat. Their place is set up with outdoor entrances to the bedrooms, so they won't leave their bedroom unless they're dressed. I tried multiple times to get him out of his pajamas, using the dresser and by clicking on the sim, but he'd just spin around and still be in his pajamas. I also tried the roommate who wouldn't go to work and he couldn't change into any other outfit, just his everyday clothes. I tried deleting the washer, dryer and hampers, but it didn't fix it. I also tried kicking them out and moving them back in as well as resetting both of them, but nothing's working.

So far, they're the only sims in the neighborhood (Barnacle Bay) this has happened to. I checked other families, and they can change just fine. I did see this happen one other time in Twinbrook just after Ambitions was released. At that time, I remembered thinking it was the washer & dryer, but I never found a solution. I ended up deleting that save. I tried to Google to find a solution, but all I found were people suggesting to delete the cache files or to simply restart the game and neither worked. Has anyone else had this problem or know any way to solve this?
