51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Different problems I had with using both Mac and Windows for WA on: 2009 December 22, 00:20:46
nythawk -

Do NOT search just in "The Horror, The Horror!" - click "advanced search and search on Mac Installer - Marhis has a great utility that installs in the base game for you. Following that lead you can also install into WA.
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Cannot get some sims pregnant on: 2009 October 27, 13:56:56
I had that problem with 2 females in one generation. I never determined the problem. There must have been a problem with the aging flags. If I tried Twallan's pollinator the response was something about being too old to get pregnant, even as a YA. They never aged on their own, I finally had to manually age them. Are your 2 aging?
53  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Upload/package a Custom Neighborhood on: 2009 October 19, 11:26:08
No tutorial is needed for this. Providing you're using a Windows computer go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves and find the save file, put it into an archive (like a .zip or .rar file) then upload it. Smiley If you are on a Mac you can do the same thing, I just don't know where the save files would be located.

On a Mac you just have to change "My Documents" to "Documents" - the rest is identical.
54  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 October 15, 21:02:33
But stasis mode is not sold separately, so if you want to use it, then you need to add Twallan's story progression mod in place of yours.

Try Buzzler's Aging Control in the Pudding Factory. I haven't used it - I like my people to age - but I can recommend his mirror for birth control.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Mac Issue - Cannot access Options Menu on: 2009 October 12, 16:56:10
Your source is probably the problem. Find another source and rearr.

I don't know of any compatibility-checker for the Mac. There are not a ton of core mods out there - Awesome and Gabriel are the ones I see the most. I just install and see if it works. Haven't had any issues yet.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Mac Issue - Cannot access Options Menu on: 2009 October 12, 08:08:25
To answer your first question, I play on a Mac and have never had this issue. Other ones, yes, but I have never had a problem with the Options menu.

As to subfolders, I used Motoki's script to install my framework. I have subfolders for hair, clothes, build mode, buy mode and others. Several of those folders are sub-foldered themselves for clarity. All work fine.
57  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: How to install "awesome" mod on a mac (lots of images, yay!... slow loading. on: 2009 October 09, 13:18:55
I found it to be much easier using Marhis' Mac Installer.

58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is there a Sims 3 'Insimenator like mod available? on: 2009 October 05, 08:07:52
Buzzler's mirror (see the pudding factory) has a function to terminate pregnancy called "extract stuck chicken." It gives you a list of all pregnant sims in your town, so if you aren't sure who is pregnant but want to reduce the incidence of childbirth, it works well.
59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I just re-installed Sims 3, and I can not open the cheat console now! on: 2009 October 04, 14:13:26
Id - use control-shift-click to get the cheats to come up.
60  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Game Crashes when i try to remove the AwesomeMod on: 2009 October 04, 13:01:41
First, learn to capitalize properly. I is always "I" and never "i" in English.

When removing AM, make sure that no Sim is under Supreme Commander control. Remove any Awesome Mod added traits (chosen, stupid, etc.). I was able to successfully remove AM for a day to test a conflicting mod doing this. Good luck.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The Birth Control Mirror on: 2009 October 04, 10:57:28
I, for one, would find that useful. This is my current way to have a male impregnate a female:

- Use Twallan's computer to pick a female (no partner, no kids, right age group), selected at semi-random
- Pick the male I want
- Inseminate using that computer

Using your mirror to pick a random female for my chosen male would make the process a little easier and more random for me.
62  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: New AwesomeMod Request Thread on: 2009 September 30, 17:18:29
I would love a feature that allows a blessed household to keep their current amount of money regardless. I am currently playing a Prosperity Challenge, and the "familyfunds" cheat doesn't work when you have two or more households named the same thing.

Use "money $$$" when in that family. Easier, faster, more accurate.
63  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: The wonderful world of loading screen terrors? on: 2009 September 29, 09:37:02
Which version of OSX are you running? There have been reports of Snow Leopard causing issues.
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wonky Colored Question Mark Tiles on: 2009 September 29, 09:29:07
I have no clue if I get the ? tiles at the Goth's or Wolfe's, but I know that the art gallery is full of them. I can help narrow it down in cc (if that is indeed the case). I have only downloaded:
- most of the store hairs
- some hairs from MTS (all by HP)
- penis mesh
- nude mesh (HP)
- some patterns from MTS (stone and granite)
- buyable fish spawners from MTS
- twallan's pollinator
- buzzler's mirror
- lockable door from MTS
- male pregnancy clothes from pudding factory
- teen pregnancy clothes from MTS

That's it. I'm not much of a cc accumulator. I'm at work, but I can get the exact list in the morning.
65  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: The wonderful world of loading screen terrors? on: 2009 September 28, 10:05:21
Fig, there are other Mac users here. Other than 3booter not working for us, the rest of this is a snap. If you've installed the framework properly then using AM is as easy for us as for a Windows user.

Suggestion if the cache-clearing doesn't work: reinstall your framework using the mac tool from Marhis. Find here: http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15484.0.html
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Male pregnancy clothing - now with morphing - teens added on: 2009 September 22, 19:14:53
Lady M - did you do the "disableclothingfilters on" trick? That results in exactly what you are seeing. That may not be the cause of yours, obviously, but it is A cause of that.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Male pregnancy clothing - now with morphing on: 2009 September 16, 12:07:00
I just knocked a guy up in one of my 'hoods. I'll try this out and let you know how it goes. The last ones worked well enough that I was happy with them.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Gardening and fertilizing on: 2009 September 12, 09:57:39
There's a simple way to find out both type and quality of uncommon and rare seeds by exploiting a flaw in the "choose bait"-dialog for fishing. If a sim has both fruit and seed of the same plant in his inventory, only the seed will appear as a bait.

That's an awful lot of work for something you can already plant. If you have the fruit, you don't need the seeds. Getting a Green Thumb gardener to plant the fruit and you will get a better quality plant. A few generations of this and you'll have perfect plants. Unknown seeds are useless after you get one of each plant.
69  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 September 09, 10:10:30
I've had that off and on with skilling on SC. I'll try to capture a save when one is doing it. Lately it's been a computer whiz set to skill logic who runs to the computer, stops, runs to the chess table, stops until she cues up something like use bathroom or eat. Funny to watch, annoying to put up with. As soon as I stop trying to get my neighborhood from starving to death I'll get this one.
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Absimiliard's Realistic Aging Mod on: 2009 September 09, 09:24:09
I have one of these that works quite simply by setting things to the Rule of 6, where each "1" represents 6. Thus, Baby+Toddler = 1, Child =1, Teen = 1, YA =2, (18-30), Adult = 3 (36-54), Elder  = 2 (60-72). Note that elders don't actually *DIE* immediately at the end of their stage, that is actually the "minimum", so if you set it to higher values, they will hang around for the equivalent of 900 years.

Um, Pes, what happens at 30-36 and 54-60? Maybe make YA = 3 and A = 4? If I followed your plan, I would probably make elders = 3 (60-78) so they make sure the kids they spawn on day 59 aren't left alone in early teenhood.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is there any way to permanently snuff the population? on: 2009 September 08, 14:10:58
I like your concept town. Here's what I would do:

First - Install AwesomeMod and the no paperboy mod I've seen over at MTS
Second - "disco inferno" the whole town
Third - "the rapture" - make sure your fambly is sacred
Fourth - make sure no one has a job - if anyone in your family is employed you will spawn coworkers and bosses based upon needs/interations. Don't take taxis anywhere as you'll spawn taxi drivers.

Then see what happens.
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Seemingly Unusual Series of Crashes on: 2009 September 08, 14:02:32
Not sure how important this is, but my game version is 1.0.631.00002.

If you want to be a successful modder, you have to learn to fucking rtfm.
From the RTFM:

COMPATIBILITY:
Base Game Version 1.3.24 or 1.4.6.

In other words, upgrade your fucking game. And lurk moar. And search moar. A lot moar.

I'm 20.

No, you're not. You're 18. And you will be until you are 24.
75  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesome Story Driver Beta-Testing reports on: 2009 August 31, 12:02:04
Do not attempt to use forcemovein, it is not a command that is for public use. I have not put enough Stupidity Checks on it for it to be publicly used.

With ASM not generating legions of homeless bastards, I have no reason to use this command any longer. It was fun while it lasted...
