26  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Technical problems with THE HORROR: downloading, installing, and running it on: 2009 June 21, 03:10:25
I obtained the pre-Razor version, installed, cracked, and loaded. It loaded fine, but I tried to go into CAS. Froze computer, needed reboot. Tried again. BOOM. Third time crashed on trying to load a pre-made. Is it a problem with my version, or computer?

Specs:
Windows XP
AMD Anthlon 64 Processor 3500+ 2.2GHz
1GB ram

I am getting the Razor version now. Please let it be a pre-build error

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/bonus/t/analysis2.tmpl?registration_option_id=8077 go there, see if you can run it. Your specs seem too low to me, but I'm not interested enough to look into it more.

FF (4) is unreliable though -- /any/ change will reset it to another speed. You're better off keeping it at 3.

4 just speeds through the current action of the active sim, it's not meant to be faster than 3

Politics - The Aura of Leadership, where other sims stop and wave at you wherever you go.

I didn't get that. What a gyp.

Had you already gotten the announcement it was his birthday that day?
The same thing happened to me so I exited the game and had my Sim eat a Life Fruit before eating the Ambrosia so she still had a day left.
After her days were reset to the beginning of Adult she continued to age as normal.

They can kill plants, I'm assuming by not weeding them (the sprinklers are on auto-water so it makes sense that it wouldn't be the cause)
Ironically, it was the Life Plant that died and needed reviving.

Green Thumb
What it does:
1] Faster gardening skillup is faster, better harvests are better.  Yay gardening.
2] Talking to plants is now an option.  I am not sure what the hell this is supposed to do, since I've never run any tests to see its potential effects.
3] Revive plants is a fat liecake, the only plants that seem to be revivable are death flower bushes.  Only good for one additional harvest.
4] May enthuse others about gardening and brag about prowess with hoes.
Fun Fact: I never had a green thumbed sim autonomously talk to plants until I had an insane green thumbed sim.  So, given EAxis views on "Insane" as lol randome!1, maybe talking to plants does nothing?
If you let your plants die they can be revived, but once plants are barren they're no good.

Were you to read my original post, you would find that I am fully aware of this patch, seeing as that's what my question was regarding.
Were you to read my second post, you would find that I am hesitant in downloading the patch due to reported implosion.

The deathfish are kind of lame once you get them mounted, but the robotfish are pretty cool. I just wish you could feed the death flowers to the omniplant. I love those creepy little guys.

I like that Sims can do things that make sense, whereas before they couldn't.
Adult Sims can now sit down in chairs while holding babies and even watch TV with them. I don't know about anyone else but I squee'd when I saw that.

Oh thanks, I installed the store stuff anyway, but I'd like to be able to use Awesomemod and whatnot with my game.
I guess I'll just have to bite the bullet when temptation proves too much and cross all my appendages hoping my game doesn't implode.
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can't finish Omniplant Opportunity on: 2009 June 14, 12:09:24
I don't think so. My first sim who got it was in the Political Career and the second was Business. I think you just have to keep gardening and answer your phone when it rings. Also if you already have a skill opportunity waiting to be fulfilled you have to get rid of it before you can get the next one.
37  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can't finish Omniplant Opportunity on: 2009 June 14, 10:52:54
Nope, as soon as you deliver the delicious steaks you get the omniplant seeds, although if you have every plant available planted you get reduced weed growth.
38  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Hidden Items on: 2009 June 14, 02:36:25
There appears to be no benefit for reaching the top of the business career (only career I'm the top of atm) other than it requires no skills whatsoever.
All you need is to be BFFLz with your boss and co-workers and have a peachy-fucking-keen mood.

So, I'm a moron and a noob (beat you to it)

We actually prefer making our own judgements in these matters.  We are perfectly capable of judging your idiocy without your help.  It is also unnecessary, gratuitous, and idiotic to declare yourself an idiot when you may not be one.

Oh, look, a conundrum!
Ok great.
Any input on my crack question?

Sims3_1.0.632.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe

Sims3_1.0.632.00107_from_1.0.631.00107.exe

The rar files are named slightly differently to that above, in case The Box is looking for any specific files. I'm probably just being paranoid, but hey.

I only saw the two patch files mentioned on MATY, not sure if there were more.

ETA: 1.0.631.00002 is for the DVD/RZR release.
1.0.631.00107 is for the Digital Download release of the game.
Cheers Kralore.
So, I'm a moron and a noob (beat you to it); these are to patch the reloaded version to a more recent one? 1.0.631.00002 for razor and 1.0.631.00107 digital download?
'Cause I was looking for the reloaded to razor patch on piratebay but there were a lot of crashing//failure issues but I would quite like to be able to use store things.
