1  TS4: The Pee-ening / Insert Amusing Name Here / Re: Does Star Wars signal the end? on: 2020 September 16, 02:41:33
it's not good. it's ... okay. it looks EXACTLY like the new Star Wars area at Disney Land, so I feel like I'm at DL. It's listed as a "vacation" destination, but you can't edit anything and everything is a rabbit hole, even the only place to sleep. The game play feels... lazy. Very frustrated with is, and it broke all the custom windows and doors.

Search moar.

There's a thread in the Awesomemod section about this.

I've had all of the above mentioned WA issues for quite awhile now, not just with the latest patch. More like since Generations or Pets.

If you Ctrl-Click (I think) there should be a 'Nuke' option on them.

Thanks.

So, I saved the game right before going to the mailbox, took out my entire mods folder, and my sim pulled out a random present. I've taken out AM and my mods listed as hacks, but left all my other custom content in and still have the omni plant issue. I'm not sure at this point what is causing the issue, but whatever it is, it's connected to the 'no wedding presents' issue for me. Will do further testing.

edit: *facepalm*  I had an extra awesome.package hidden in my skins folder. Confirmed that this is an awesomemod issue for me.

once the omni seeds (that no one ordered) are in the sim's inventory, how do you destroy them? I can't click on them at all. I have to use the 'take all' button from the mail box to get them out.

Something I've noticed with the test version 3/5/12 9:08 AM... (mind you I've just now updated to pets...)

The no-mosaic works for humans when they get in the shower, but not when they use the toilet. It also doesn't work for the horses. (I don't have any other animals right now to see if it works for them or not). Not that I *want* to see the horses pee, but I hate the mosaic more.

I have an Asus N61J laptop, and it's run Sims 3 for over a year and half just fine. I have every ep and most of the sp's.  The game rarely runs slow, other than the usual glitches that are caused by EA.
8  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Low Detail Mode?? on: 2011 May 02, 17:08:08
My game always show anyone with low detail mode, friend or not.  It just does.  You don't have to do anything with it.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: .Package Files on Different Drive on: 2011 April 07, 15:16:33
I installed my game (and all packs and ep's) on my D drive, then all the custom in my documents on my C drive, and it works just fine.

I don't know if the op has a laptop, but mine is.  It's a "gaming" laptop, I made sure I got the best damn graphics loaded laptop I could find.  Well, without going "Alien", anyway.   I've pretty much built (ok, had my husband build) every desktop I've had for the last ten years around a high quality graphics card.

At least now I know the whole 'gathering of sims' can be blamed on my graphics card now...  Guess I'll stay out of Bridgeport, which isn't really an issue.

I have an Asus with an intel i7 core, an ATi HD 5730 graphics card with 1gb mem, and this happened to me as well.  It only happened in Bridgeport, and fixsim took care of any sims I wanted to play that were stuck.  I've dumped Bridgeport, and am having no such issues in any other town.

My build mode graphics are kind of funky, but they changed after the latest patch, before I installed LN.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Late Night bugs & annoyances on: 2010 November 17, 14:58:31
I had an issue with the babysitter in Bridgeport in the apts.  She would teleport into the black space behind the elevator, thereby unable to get up to the apt to actually take care of the child.

So I moved my family to a house (gated), and left the gate open for the repairperson. Who park her truck, walked in the house, turned around and started walking up the street.  And kept walking.

As a lurker (who actually read all 20 pages of the first test thread) I'm so glad this information is on the first page of a thread!

THANK YOU to everyone who helped this go-round.

I downloaded the Razor version (from seedgames) , and followed intructions I gathered from this thread. The program started up and loaded, but when it got to the neighborhood window, it said EA didn't recognize the disk as valid (something along those lines).

I'm having the same issue.  Does this have anything to do with modifying the TS3.exe, aka no-cd crack?  I've tried using morriganrant's crack, but obviously just pasting over the old .exe file doesn't work.

I know I'm missing something somewhere, just don't know what, exactly.
