1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2014 August 04, 07:56:41
The framework is the actual Mods>Packages folders and you should put them in both The Sims 3 and the Sims 3/World Adventures directories, as below.

1.  You copy the framework files into both the base game and the expansion directories.  The paths should be something like C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/World Adventures.   Leave the empty files in both locations.

2.  Copy the d3dx9_31.dll file into the Game>Bin folder of both the above directories.  Leave those files in both.

I would like to thank coconnor for the assistance with this.  I had put a new hard drive in a while ago and had just finally gotten around to installing the Sims 3, and couldn't figure out how to stop getting the 'no disk' error when I took out the disk which made me think Awesomemod wasn't installed correctly. After about 3 hours of struggling with it I finally found this post and followed it.  I had thought that with the recent changes I only needed the framework in the mydocuments folder, but when I went and extracted just the framework to the expansions and base game it finally worked.

The updater seems to be broken today as of 3:45pm EDT. I let it run through attempt 53 of connecting through the Gamma server, but it never got past there.

Of course, with the new 1.38 update EA screwed more stuff up. This time it's the interactions "Tend Garden" "Harvest" and "Weed plant" They used to have your sim do all of the plants on the lot, but now they only do 1-5, and they seem to snap into a different animation when they're done, as well as the occasional teleportation. Would you mind fixing this?

I did a search in the last 90 days since supernatural has come out and this was the only post that relates and it seemed to have gotten bypassed

It wasn't bypassed. It was ignored. This is not an awesome bug.

Ah but it was my understanding that Pescado has crafted awesomemod to fix the things that EA has broken, of which he has done an amazing job of it.  My fiancee has now been able to replicate the bug, but only in China.  When he got back though he was still able to farm his forest of money trees without a problem.  My new witch I started, also had the bug in china when I went to get her MA book, equipment, and plants from there.

I did a search in the last 90 days since supernatural has come out and this was the only post that relates and it seemed to have gotten bypassed.  Basically in my game I have tried many many things, including uninstalling and reinstalling everything.

The Bug I am having is that my character will start to tend garden then stop, reset position, and I would have to tend garden again.  When this happened my plants were then stuck on harvest even with no fruit left on them, until I disposed and started again.  Then my character would behave fine until she tried to harvest again.

My original character would get the garden bug right when I first started on her, on every plany.  So I thought okay maybe this is a bug with previous characters in Supernatural.

My second attempt was to make an all new character, and play her. Was going along fine until I traveled to France to get my grapes and she was bugged in France.  However when I got back to the main game she worked fine.  At least until I found Money Tree Seeds.  Those trees seems to be borked in every game I have tried them on.

Getting frustated with the game and myself I nuked the entire game, reinstalled from scratch, patched, installed Awesomemod, started a new character again and played.  This character was going fine, though once again the money trees were broken.  This time she would harvest them fine until they got to outstanding quality then they would lock on harvest and all I could do it get was rid of them.  Even with the money trees being buggy, the rest of her garden worked fine though the money trees would stomp her full queue and I'd have to trigger it again.

My last attempt I played without any extra mods other than awesomemod, including any store content.  Also when I reinstalled the game I only installed the Game and each expansion pack, no stuff packs at all.  Now the odd thing is... My fiancee cannot seem to replicate this bug.  he did take my advice to start a new character instead of continuing with his old one.  I have shown him repeatedly what would happen with my characters and though he tried to replicate it, he hasn't had any trouble with the money tree seeds.

I am posting here because it seems someone else would have this same problem happening hence the original quote.  I have tried all I can come up with if anyone could advise me on this or if Pescado can replicate the bug it would be greatly appreciated.

I have an odd request, but as I am trying to straighten out all my downloads for my sims, I would like to know which pack the Not So Routine Machine is in.  I love that item but I need to condense down some of my items i have in the game.

If only there was an official Sims 3 store website that had all that information.

I looked over the store info and couldn't find it listed already, so I had already tried that.

I did use the search box looking for it but no luck, however thank you to the people who were kind enough to respond to me.

Have a possible bug with AM, have pets, latest version fully patched, Yet I see no interactions for AM at all. I tried Shift-cntl-c to add traits, I try to access the menu in game and nothing pops up with either shift or control.

Along the same lines, one of my annoyances I've been having is always having to manually add the food I've harvested or fished to the fridge, or manually having to sort the quality of foods for sims that are still learning their gardening/fishing, so I can keep my fridge fully stocked with 'perfect quality' food.

Is there a way to get the previous version to download while waiting for a fix or should I just disable the mod?

I'm receiving the same in game while playing crash.  I don't know if it's revelant or not but the crash always seems to happen at the 1:00am roll over. (Started playing at 1:37pm, saved a few times always crashed at the 1am, 5 out of 5 times)
