I have not patched yet because EA seems to not be able to handle my terabyte drive and gives me a message that I do not have enough drive space to install. I have been going back and forth with EA Tech Service.

Why not just create them as teens in CAS and then age them up in game? The birthday cake can be used at any time, so you can do it as soon as you load your new household.
Sims 3 Adult Sims Cannot Be Parents Of Young Adult Sims.
I think this should be allowed and is reasonable:
I made a mother who appears to be in her 40's with two 'offspring' who are young adults and appear to be in their late-teen's / early 20's but the game will not allow them to be offspring!
It looks really odd because their 'sister' looks old enough to be their 'mother'!
So please, can we have an addition to the totally awesome mods that allows YA to be kids of Adults?
The other benefit Nuerotics get is that shortly before leaving for work have them perform a 'freak - out', then select 'work hard' while at work, they won't get the 'stressed-out' moodlet and before you know it, Job Promotion.
