Hmm, good question.  I'll save a new copy of my Legacy family and start resurrecting the great-greats.  It's time for some incestuous testing!

But the step relationship is gone once the parent is dead. I had one girl who was raised from a baby by her stepfather- never knew her father.  But yet the moment her mother died, she started flirting with her stepfather.  It was really disturbing.
I don't suppose her name was Soon-Yi...?

 - Gus

No, it was Lauren.  But the other acceptable answer would have been E'Dena Hines, Morgan Freeman's stepdaughter.

Is anyone willing to run a test?  I'll do it if no one else wants to, but I'm playing my semi-Legacy family now, and I don't really want to switch away from it.

I admit it- I'm a fan of her hair.  I think it's gorgeous.  But I like my neighborhoods to run like Gossip Girl- a bunch of gorgeous people with implausible problems.  Peggy's hair is perfect for that.  I also love All About Style clothes and Well Dressed Sim makeup.  I'm a whore like that.

Well, I figured as much, but if I know what the coding says, then I can manipulate the circumstances to get the picture I want.
32  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Why does slutty slacker grandma get to bring the baby to the cake? on: 2009 July 23, 18:03:18
How does the game decide who gets to bring the baby to the birthday cake?  I select it using the mom who has the highest relationship with the kid, and the mother is holding the kid, and yet the game makes the mom put down the baby and the grandma pick it up to bring it to the cake.  Can anyone enlighten me as to what is happening?

I want MOAR ethnic styles as well. Eaxis really screwed the pooch on more diverse non-straight hair. Attn EA: Adding a few waves in different directions or different hat bands does not = variety.

B-b-b-but don't all non-white people wear dreadlocks that poke straight out?

If overpopulation is the reason for the random moving outs, then why couldn't they get rid of the pathenogenesis and the random moving outs?
35  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: BREAKING NEWS: TSR INSTALLS SPYWARE! on: 2009 July 22, 16:58:38
So I'm still confused.  What is this spyware attempting to do?
36  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is there a cheat in Sims 3 for "snapobjectstogrid false"? on: 2009 July 22, 06:16:04
It's the ALT key, but it doesn't work for curtains.  They snap to walls now.

Did you try "moveobjects on" and then holding down alt?

I went on the official exchange and found a bunch there.  Look for people's second and third gen legacy families.  Most of the time the freaky "perfect" genetics blended with ordinary townies makes nice normal looking people.

Here's my re-do of Adele.  I changed her cheekbones, eyes, and nose.  I tried to keep her personality and general look intact, just less fug. Oh, and I did a makeover.

Full body...

Headshot.

What do you think?
(Please excuse the jpg quality, I used paint)

Do editsim on it.  Then, click the "..." next to the portrait.  This menu should pop up:

You should know what to do from there.

Awesome.  That's what I was looking for.

But let's not make this just be a THANKS THIS IS GREAT post.  What exactly did the spyware try to do?
41  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: BREAKING NEWS: TSR INSTALLS SPYWARE! on: 2009 July 21, 04:39:31
Although if anyone would like to brave the depths of TSR to bring me the cleaned up Sims 3 files (especially the toddler hair) I would be forever in their debt.

I burst out laughing at the MJ comments.  Cheesy She doesn't look that bad. It's sad that I mucked up her face but oh well. Here's a close-up of her:

Well you could already do that with awesomemod and debug mod enabled then doing control click > sim > Edit in CAS, but yeah Indie has that too.

I had IndieStone, but there you can only edit the active sim, not townies.
44  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 18:49:17

Ohhh score!  I can finally have my editsim back.  I'm so tired of people showing up to my formal parties in weirdass combinations.
45  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 18:38:06
Oh mine do. In fact I just had one townie pop up with that same trampy Peggy pay hair. I'm using the new Indie Stone + Awesomemod combo though so that might have generated her. She must be a new sim because I just put that hair in like yesterday or the day before.

Seriously?  That does pose a problem, then.

Wait.  There's an Indie Stone/Awesomemod combo?!
46  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 18:23:28
Have you managed to fulfill the gold digger lifetime wish? I remember someone saying it was broken. I'm curious to try it out, but not if it doesn't work.

She didn't actually get the LTW. She has "Living in the Lap of Luxury".  But she wanted to flirt with her grandmother's rich ex-boyfriend, so I let it happen.

A question, though: when the easy hair meshing tool becomes available and I'll have enough pretty hairs to chose from/make to be able to delete the Peggy ones, what happens to the sims wearing it? I'm thinking of townies, really, changing the hair for my playables shouldn't be hard.

So far none of the townies have used any of the custom hairs, or the ones from the store in my town.  YMMV.

She honestly looked okay until you took a hacksaw to her face.  I think all she needed was a slight flaring of the nostrils and she would have been fine.
48  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New peggy hairs. They doesn't replace anything on: 2009 July 20, 05:32:05
Upon having a closer look at the hair, I conclude that it is one of the most hideous styles I have yet to see.  Are there actually people who like this hair? (curious)

It's perfect for my gold-digging perfectionist snob.  Observe:

Her Vegas wedding...

It does bend slightly with the head, just as well as the EAxis hairs.

And here's what happens with a fatty:

to...

So not that bad, but I bet it gets worse if she smiles.

That hair doesn't work on elder sims.

Ohhhhh.  Well, then that's stupid.
