Families being raptured up into the heavens is usually a sign of irreversible damage. It would be best to extract what you can with SimPE, and write the first incarnation off as collateral damage.

Director's Cut for appropriate expansion pack -> batbox -> "Nuke...Dead Romances"
3  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Mod errors on: 2013 November 16, 22:13:37
Test without your downloads folder, see if that changes anything.
4  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Mod errors on: 2013 November 16, 20:40:01
"Sims weren't showing up?" Are you saying you had no customers, or no sims whatsoever? Your message is quite vague and is missing information so we can't really help you as is. I'm inclined to believe maybe your neighborhood/game was screwy already but the new downloads brought the issues to the surface.
5  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sim stuck in bad mood on: 2013 September 06, 21:53:58
Ooh, that could be bad. Whenever I (my non-Awesome, under qualified self) have heard of this, it was a problem with a corrupt character. Have you done anything to promote corruption? (Dangling SWAFs, etc?)
6  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alternatives for the Kitten Killer? on: 2012 November 21, 20:48:42
Thank you for the quick answer! I have heard of ACR before but was too afraid to use it, I don't want my sims flirting etc if I don't approve. Tongue  But I'll give it a try, it will definitely make things more interesting.
I should probably ask this over at simbology, but since I already started a thread: is it safe to just take the Inteen files out of the Downloads or should I do some kind of preparation beforehand? Obviously noone should be pregnant when i remove it, but is there anything else I should do?

BTW TS2 sims are MUCH better than the gooey TS3 blobs of pixels. One of the major reasons I haven't switched.

I think just maybe run the game, and if there's any controllers on any lots or any functions currently being used, delete them or turn the functions off.  Then it should be safe to delete the files.

Because those hideous caricatures from TS2 were such a joy to look at.

Out of the box? Pretty damn ugly, I'll give you that. But tricked out with some CC/default replacements/penises they exceeded passable. You know, if you're watching little pixel people skillgrind and "Call...Friends" you might as well be watching the other pixel people in the background fuck. Also helps with story purposes and the like.

You know, ACR really added some oomph to my mature objects. Of course no one wants to see the waxy, dead-eyed puddings engaged in any of that buisness.  Angry So of course EAxis had to ruin that angle for me.

FOR REAL DOE. All those townies in that big, self-sufficent world...it BEGS for ACR. Of course, that would involve an attraction system, which is something we don't have anymore.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Alternatives for the Kitten Killer? on: 2012 November 19, 23:47:37
Whatever non-pregnancy stuff you can do with InTeen, you can do with testing cheats, the batbox, or some combination thereof. ACR is fantastic for romance and pregnancy. I don't think there's a birth control function, but you can have risky woohoo, and you can "Take Morning After Pill" all pregnancies before the first pop. Nifty shit. I didn't think I'd grow so attatched to it, but it makes the game less of a headache and throws in some surprises.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: So they can't move in here? on: 2012 July 26, 13:02:24
Yeahhhhh, almost certainly borked. Have you tried testing cheats to see if it brings up any kind of error?
12  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Neighborhood Disappeared, WTF? on: 2012 July 01, 05:59:24
I had an incident like that, turns out my antivirus was being trigger-happy and preventing changes from comitting. Is anything else acting up? This sounds like a problem beyond Sims.
13  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Are NPCs supposed to go on unsupervised dates? on: 2012 May 29, 01:30:21
Did you make this neighborhood yourself? You avoided all the verbotten stuff like DAC w/o a cleanup of SWAFs, lotbinning, dicking around with untouchable NPCs? The only thing I can think of is run the Neighborhood Corruption Detector (available at MTS2) and see if it says anything worth note.
14  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Are NPCs supposed to go on unsupervised dates? on: 2012 May 29, 00:41:45
That sounds bad. Of course, years of playing this game have made me very trigger-happy  Cheesy so I can't say for sure it's a BFBVFS. Did you try taking out all hacks? Do you have any other tomfoolery?
15  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Stuck cold skin Seasons overlay on age up on: 2012 April 15, 16:15:24
Using "moveObjects on", delete this gentleman. Save and go to the neighborhood. Re-enter the lot. He should be standing by the mailbox correctly colored.

Little lord Jesus, with a name like "More Awesome Than You", you would think people would get the idea that this is not a snuggly bunch. LURK MOAR. The people of MATY have always been helpful and polite to me when I need technical help because I ask for it with proper grammar and evidence that I did some research on my own.

And what makes you think *YOU* are the one to speak out? If you knew you'd get backlash, why bother?

I just got AL, and everything ran well. Or, I was thinking everything was going well. I made me a little founder, and I was getting REALLY attatched. More in love with a fambly than ever. I find her that rich Armand premade, and they get married. I get her pregnant and renovate the house. I attempt to save. To my eternal dismay, it freezes up. I turned on testing cheats before I loaded the lot to try again. STILL didn't save. I figure it's the lot, so I move them. It finally saves! And lo, there was much rejoicing in the lands. The baby grows into a toddler, and I save on an idyllic father-daughter scene. IT FREEZES AGAIN.

There's either something wrong with the family or saving w/o exiting, because: A) I play the Cordials and nothing ever happens to them because they're Maxian and I don't really give a shit, or B) If I exit the neighborhood or game w/ saving it works. The only odd little thing I noticed was that I have 2 TS2EP8s or whatever in TSBin, but I can't imagine why that is or how it would affect saves. I'm pretty sure I pirated properly.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Where's My Sound? on: 2011 December 20, 06:58:21
I just got WA, I'm only running Awesome, not much CC save for CAS pieces and Riverview, patched to the latest, blah blah.

I can play and the game runs well for about 15 minutes. I'll do something like go Ultra Speed and all of a sudden, the game starts lagging a tad and I lose all sound. Occasionaly, it comes back to vomit a random sound effect which should have happened in game 20 minutes ago. Solutions?
19  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: University students have amnesia, lose student status, pop tons of object errors on: 2011 June 25, 12:56:13
I'm Unawesome, but I'm pretty sure the game would know the clones were impostors. Besides, it's the neighborhood that's causing your problems. If your heart's set on these sims, then extract & insert into NEW neighborhood. Poke around on how to do this.
20  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: University students have amnesia, lose student status, pop tons of object errors on: 2011 June 25, 11:11:35
Extracting a sim involves going into SimPE and getting copies of their apperances, remaking them, then setting their family ties. This is a huge undertaking. I wouldn't do it unless you were completely enamored with this fambly. Speaking of, moving sims between neighborhoods in game will screw up your neighborhood so this involves more SimPE work. From the looks of it, you can't save them.
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How To Tell If Graphics Card Is Aging on: 2011 March 20, 05:09:04
Alright, I'm officially just seeing things. When I start seeing a tidalwave of MS-Paint shaded vomit, I'll know. BAHHHHHH.  Smiley
22  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How To Tell If Graphics Card Is Aging on: 2011 March 19, 11:16:38
Since I'm not on shiny beautiful gaming rig, thusly unable to post TS2 pictchas, can anyone give an example of said artifacts?
23  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How To Tell If Graphics Card Is Aging on: 2011 March 18, 12:18:07
And these things are all well and understandable, but it seems as if though these things have increased. I might just be seeing things because buying a new graphics card so close to boyfriend's birthday smacks of DO NOT WANT.
24  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: How To Tell If Graphics Card Is Aging on: 2011 March 18, 08:41:37
I'm still getting such subtle prickliness at closer distances, and even things like the loading screens are looking jaggedy.  Undecided
25  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / How To Tell If Graphics Card Is Aging (Updated) on: 2011 March 18, 07:39:55
So my absolute warrior of a graphics card runs TS3 very nicely, and TS2 was running picturesqely. Until recently. I switch from a TS3 play sesh to TS2, and I notice some rather jagged edges. Game still running great, but things have gotten a smooch blurry when zoomed out. Am I just paranoid, or is my old crusader losing momentum? If it is, does it hurt stuff?

EDIT: Alright, it got worse. I know it did. And since I still can't post a picture, this is an example of what I'm seeing.

Note the pointy arm of the lady and the crustiness of the dining chairs. I'm seeing that in my game, but worse. Holy fucking shit.
