His point was that he'll get to it when he's good and ready and no amount of begging will make it happen faster unless you do it yourself. Be patient.
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How to install decrapified store contents(sims3pack) successfully? on: 2012 October 25, 02:41:53
Previous discussions on this topic indicate that higher end machines can and do install everything at once, and have no such limitations on the size of the resulting dbc's. The problem you're describing is the result of the limitations of your hardware (and, to a lesser degree, to a badly coded Launcher, which nevertheless works alright if your computer does not suck).

As for stuff not showing up in-game, sounds like you've got PEBKAC gumming up the decrapification process.

I think my machine is more than enough to handle The Sims 3.
My specs:
i7 2600
GTX 590
8G ram
Intel 510 SSD
Windows 7 x64

I've asked other people using the same content pack as mine. They seem to be fine. If you mean there's PEBKAC does that mean I should decrapify all the sims3pack by myself again?

Thanks.

Yeah, of course it can "handle" TS3. Read conversations between members here, however, and it is obvious that your specs play a major role in how well the Launcher functions. My computer's specs exceed those of your own in several respects and it still can't handle Launcher installations as well as some better machines can; ask Witch. The Launcher is shit and simply does not work as well as you seem to think it "should" unless you've got a really good machine.

And yeah, there's a reason why you're not supposed to download decrapified files. I don't *think* decrapifying them again will help if they were already decrapified using an outdated s3rc (correct me if I'm wrong, someone). Just download the raw files like everyone else. If we're misinterpreting and you *did* start with raw files, then PEBKAC still stands as the most likely issue. Make sure you're using the proper tools, and using them correctly. The instructions are right there.

Knightguy, I tried to download Le Cirque Celebration! at zippyshare.com, but clicking on the download link did nothing but load the same page again in another tab in Firefox.  IE9 just downloaded a 10kb .html file.  Thinking it may require registration to download like 4Share, I did that, but the file still would not download.  Is there a magical word or a way to hold one's mouth to get it to download?  Any help would be appreciated.

Click link, click button. Not really all that complicated. It worked fine for me earlier, also using Firefox, and I just tested it again without trouble. I can't tell you why it's not working for you, but the problem is definitely on your end.

Doesn't AM's droptrait command work?
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Weird DCCache issues when installing Store/CC on: 2012 July 18, 20:54:23
It depends on your computer's specs. Nobody here can tell you what your computer is capable of.
57  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: The TS3 Store: post your questions, updates, and tech help here on: 2012 July 14, 03:41:22
This is a known issue and getting a new copy won't help. Clara made a standalone fix. KT's store fixes package includes one as well.
58  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: "Pedo" interactions and psychic police on: 2012 July 12, 17:42:48
Because inappropriate relationships are only inappropriate if they happen in public, amirite?

Just don't let teen Sims dabble outside of their age set, if you don't like it, or age your teen up and get on with it. The alternative is to suck it up and get a different mod that suits your 12-diddling intentions.

As for the "blatant sexism," don't you think it might have something to do with the age of the initiator and not the sex? I don't use adult/teen romantic interactions so I don't know what the normal behavior is with AM, but I would assume that a mod with anti-pedo features would probably find a romantic interaction initiated by an adult, toward a 12, particularly abhorrent.
59  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 12, 01:47:02
I also combine my mods together in their own pack, so it's easy and fast to re-do it. (When you have over a hundred mods installed, you do see the difference).

I didn't know it was ok to merge mods together. I merge all my other cc, but I for some reason always thought it would be a bad thing to merge any mods. Are there any I shouldn't combine? I mostly have smaller mods that do things like disable sounds or certain animations as well as no mosaic and a few of Twallan's mods.

I have a ridiculous number of mods combined into two packages, one in Overrides and the other in Packages. Around half of those are basic things like texture replacements, and the other half is made up of small-scale XML tuning mods, scripting mods, and a few large-scale mods like AM and much of the NRaas suite. So far I haven't had any trouble with combining them but I keep unmerged copies of everything on a flash drive, just in case, and I always scan them with the Dashboard before merging them.

The sort of mods you're describing would most likely be fine merged, but you can always keep an unmerged backup.

The casino is 0x1daa41b84d333ba7494cccbce03fb921 and should be placed in your Library folder. The rest of the files are the individual items from the set and can be placed in Packages, if that's how you want to install them. I've never had any issues installing Store lots as decrapified Sims3Packs, though.

For future reference, it's really easy to open the individual files with s3pe to see what they are.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 July 09, 07:28:37
Actually I do read it, but I'm not sure because the download link is provided. It have been posted since March, I think, no way it took so long to fix it up to July. Some people also reported about Male mesh broken link, but didn't get any respond.

EDIT: Finally S-Club replied people comments. it had been taken down yesterday to fix something wrong. I just came at the wrong time.

Don't accuse the site owners of not responding until yesterday just because you didn't notice. They've repeatedly responded to posts regarding the file's absence. The comments aren't dated but having posted there myself, on this very topic, I am 100% positive that the responses were posted within days of the file being withdrawn.

As jezzer pointed out, it's even mentioned in the description of the set.
62  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod won't work. on: 2012 July 04, 17:04:14
I downloaded a new framework from mod the sims, I deleted everything in Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, added the mod folder inside I had Resource.cfg, and a folder named Packages with aweconf.package inside, there was no cache in the "The sims 3" folder, and no old files.

Just the config? You don't mention whether or not you have AwesomeMod itself. That would probably help.
63  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod won't work. on: 2012 July 04, 06:10:12
And they do not work,I'm I missing the right install dir or do you just like to be a jerk?

Why can't it be both?

Just follow the MTS directions, as Eeyore advised. They're retard-proof.
64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The "Where Can I Find This CC?" Thread - Because you fail at Google on: 2012 July 02, 03:19:19
I doubt such a thing exists, since it's a lot faster to install a ripped disc than to clone all the content. Just google the instructions. It isn't much more difficult than learning how to install downloads, if at all, so if you figured out how to use CC you should have no trouble.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.29.2012) on: 2012 June 30, 11:54:14
That's impossible to do, the launcher quickly become unstable if there's too many files. I dread to imagine installing the whole store like that, it would be a nightmare - and take days! Plus you won't be able to fix the categories of the stuff easily and if you want to remove an item you're good for a one hour search in the looooong list the launcher spouts. It's a fucking piece of shit, I use it only to install stuff that really needs it.

There's a great deal of legitimate criticism regarding the Launcher, but I wholeheartedly disagree that the method described by Anach is "impossible" or that it would "take days" to set up. I've used extracted/merged store packages in the past and found it perfectly acceptable at the time (except for the misbehaving counters and sectionals), but chose to switch back to decrapified Sims3Packs as a method of keeping EA content and third party CC apart. I recently did a ground-up install of all the EP's/SP's and store content and although it took the better part of an afternoon, the vast majority of that was installing the game itself. The Store stuff only took about an hour. I did find that the Launcher started "skipping" files when I installed too many at a time (because, as you noted, it is a fucking piece of shit); when I started installing things in 200mb chunks, a number I chose rather arbitrarily because it's just a bit smaller than the average file in my DCCache, it was smooth sailing.
66  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.29.2012) on: 2012 June 30, 04:00:20
Yes I realize I didn't have to buy it  I have no idea what a ccmerge fail is its coming from my launcher yes in the backup folder but how do you replace it if it fails?

Read the thread, you insufferable idiot. Read the very first post from beginning to end. All those scary squiggly lines? Those are "letters" and they come together to form "words," some of which, when properly divined, contain the solution you seek.

For fuck's sake.
67  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.29.2012) on: 2012 June 30, 00:53:25
I just threw your fixes into my packages folder and scanned with Dashboard and it shows that it is conflicting with Store Stuff Part 3.  Is this something that is known?  I didn't see any post about it.

If you're using packages, the answer is in the posts that immediately follow the OP. All mods need to be in a location that's at a higher priority level than the files they modify.

Ok yes but I had to buy all the stuff I don't want fixes in my game. Its getting stupid.

You didn't have to buy anything. I got all my Store stuff and fixes here and everything works for me. As you were already told:

Moodlet or skill problems are due to ccmerge fail.

If something is fail, get one that isn't. I'm not sure how much clearer the answer can get.
68  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 June 29, 19:16:09
Can someone please upload the Lucky Simoleon Casino LOT (I tried installing it both as a decrapped Sims3Pack and as a package but it doesn't show up in game). I just need the file that goes in the Library folder, ready to use if that's possible. Thanks in advance!  Smiley

The Launcher sucks and sometimes fails to put lots into the library. As jezzer and KT stated, you already have the file so you don't need anyone to upload it.

Move your .ebc files out of DCCache. Reinstall the lot, making sure a new lot package appears in your Library folder. Then move the original .ebc files back into DCCache, allowing them to overwrite the new one.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Harvestman House (Victorian Gothic Farmhouse, a Residential Lot) on: 2012 June 12, 22:38:00
Beautiful house, pyry. It has a very impressive facade.

Wasn't there a bug a while back where Sims couldn't use stairs if they were placed in a certain direction?  Like if your stairs were placed perpendicular to the front of the house, the sims wouldn't be able to use them, or something like that?

You may be referring to the note on stacked stairs mentioned here.
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Pudding Factory is for downloads: put your lame requests & WCIFs here on: 2012 May 18, 17:59:34
I don't understand the problem. You said you already found invisible clothing on SexySims2. If the categories aren't set as you want them, changing that takes all of 10 seconds.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 05.03.2012) on: 2012 May 11, 21:37:38
It might work in your game but you need to realize its not in mine. If you have a suggestion on how to get it to work on all the things I would appreciate it. Be more understanding because I am asking for help and this mod doesn't do as it says for me.

What right do you have to tell him what he "needs to realize," exactly? Your computer and your game are your own, and their setup is unique. If he needs to be more understanding about you asking for help in a scenario that he cannot duplicate, you most certainly need to be more understanding about the fact that he's a modder and not a psychic.

There is a big difference between reporting bugs or asking for help, and barging into someone else's territory and demanding that they fix something when there is no solid evidence, as far as they can see, that it is even broken. If you want people to help you, consider the effect of how you speak to them.

For what it's worth, the mod works fine in my game, too.
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Please help with Lighting Tweak mod on: 2012 May 10, 18:32:38
Is there a way to edit this mod in s3pe (or any other program) in order to have night time lighting closer to the game's default lights?

The best way to find out would be to try (hint: yes, there's a way, and it's incredibly easy). I'm not really sure what other information you're looking for here, since you already described the method yourself. Just open the mod and compare the values to the original ones, then tweak the values you want to be closer to the default until you get to a balance that you like. Or is there something hampering the process that you have not disclosed?
73  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2012 May 06, 00:20:18
i'm having the same problem as poopyseedmuffin. I have a feeling it might be conflicting with a mod he/she and i have downloaded from modthesims. Could this be possible? (all i did was test it out to see if i had that problem, then turned that setting off, i promise) It keeps crashing. If you want, i can pm you a link to my log in info on modthesims and you can see if any of my interaction mods might be messing with it?

Or, you could do a few minutes of troubleshooting and figure it out for yourself.

The same way you install anything else.
75  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: What needs to go where to make AM work on: 2012 April 22, 02:02:59
The package installation instructions at MTS are as idiot-proof as they can possibly be.
