1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD 1.2.7/2.7.7/3.3.11 TEST THREAD on: 2010 June 05, 21:45:11
I just got two Flagrant System Errors at the same time.

I don't know if the circumstances are relevant, but just in case:
It happened when I was traveling to a lot to complete an architecture job, but she went "off the clock" before she reached the home.  She tried to take a nap in a lounge chair outside and they popped up.

I do have mods installed, but only clothes/accessories/etc.  AM is my only hack (10:00 version).

To anyone that's having trouble with playing games saved in Riverview,

Put the Riverview.world file in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\GameData\Shared\NonPackaged\Worlds like Witch instructed.  Next, you must delete the Riverview.world file from your InstalledWorlds folder in your Documents to get it to work correctly.

So, double-check to make sure you've done this.

simcandy, hopefully this will help.  It sounds like you're making things way too complicated.  What I did was this:

1) Run FPS_Limiter_GUI.
2) Hit the search executable button.
3) Navigate to the folder where Sims 3 is installed.  If you're on a PC, it should either be C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe or C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe if you have a 64-bit version of Windows.
4) Leave the fps at 30 for starters.  You can always change it later if you'd like to use a higher setting.
5) Click the create bat button.
6) A file called TS3.exe.limited.bat should show up in the folder of FPS_Limiter_GUI.  Move this wherever you'd like (i.e. your desktop) and use it to run The Sims 3 instead of any previously existing shortcut.

If you need more help, feel free to PM me.  By the way, I left my settings on D3D9, and didn't touch logging or OSD.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Just a word of warning - - Walmart Prima Guide on: 2009 June 06, 14:37:55
The guide I got at Best Buy is a large one. It was $19.99, came with a mouse pad and huge town map of where to find all the gems, bugs etc....after your frequent user thing-a-jig...it was $18 something after taxes

I've been toying with the idea of getting that one, but I couldn't find out anything about the mouse pad.  It is one of those foam-ish ones or one that is friendly to wireless/laser mouses?

While working up a list of mutually exclusive traits, I have learned a sim cannot be both Grumpy and Hot Headed.

What is this... this... UNHOLINESS?!

*head explodes*

That makes little to no sense.  Then again, it's probably an EA "safety feature" to keep people from creating sims that are impossible to please.
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims 3 + Windows 7? on: 2009 June 03, 19:59:35
I am also using Windows 7 with the Sims 3. However, the arr'ed version has some compatability issues, and you might have some trouble running it.

I've seen no compatibility issues, running Razor until stupid Amazon decides to ship my game, and Windows 7 x64 build 7100.  For future reference, Windows 7 runs pretty much everything Vista can, often better.

My newly built lot in my game.

-snip-

That lot looks great!  It's good to see that the CAST system can actually be used to pull off some really nice color coordination.  On the off-chance you ever decide to upload it somewhere, I'd love to have a link  Smiley

The tool helped my game run much more smoothly.  Thanks for sharing.
