1  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Unofficial OFB Patch - Merge Of Several Older Fixes + New Stuff on: 2012 May 02, 20:06:05
Not sure if these mods are being updated but I thought I'd let you know that with this mod in it isn't possible to assign an employee to a chef stove.  Owner/household members can but when you try to assign an employee they just stand there and do nothing.  I can assign one just fine without the mod in so definately something within the mod that is causing the problem.

I apologize for the necromancy, but I came here searching for information on the above issue. Like the quoted post, I'm not sure if these mods are even being updated anymore and am just reporting the problem in case anyone else is having issues.

If I have sim A own a restaurant and I'm playing the business side, the assigned chef will interact with the stove as expected. If I am playing from the customer's side and take sim B to sim A's restaurant, the assigned chef will do everything but interact with the stove. I've tried selecting sim A and reassigning the chef to the stove/having the chef reassign themselves to the stove, but the action drops out of the queue.

In the non-interaction scenario, there is already a tray of food on the chef stove when sim B first enters the lot, so the first sim sat/served gets to eat. Other sims will be seated, have their orders taken, sit for awhile, get pissed when no food comes and leave.

I'm running these scenarios in a brand new test neighborhood with only the directors cut in my downloads folder.
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Face Template Out Of Order on: 2010 December 05, 21:10:52
I hope someone can help me. I've been all over the internet trying to find answers and I'm not having any luck searching.

I reinstalled all my Sims 2 games yesterday. Somehow the face templates got screwed up. For example, the face 1 template is now appearing at the end of the face templates instead of appearing in it's normal first position. I have no custom content at all and am familiar with most common error/solutions with this game, this is something I've never seen before.

Is there anything at all I can do to reset this? If anyone could help, I would really appreciate it.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: OK, so why would I want this mess? on: 2009 May 29, 19:35:01
I can honestly say that I'm glad I arred this before buying it because, in my opinion, it's worse than I imagined. I've been playing it for a week and keep waiting for the fun to start. I know I'm repeating what a lot of others have said, but anyway...

Stuff I like:
I like the idea of the work rabbit holes and the option to direct your Sim to act a certain way at their job. I like the moodlets. I like the traits, I have a Sim running around like a spaz "woo - ing" at everyone (excitable or party animal or some such thing) and it's funny for now. CAS is finally what it should've been this whole time.

Everything else:
Like someone else pointed out, this game is very similar to a clunky version of Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing. I hate the game interface, the Sims are painfully ugly, the only social place to watch your Sim is outside at a park or a gym, story progression is broken and I hand washed a load of dirty dishes last night while my sim was at work with the time moving along at a painful speed 2. Oh & I keep finding Sims that seem to have immaculately conceived children.
