Thank you for useful answers..  All others commenting on bad grammer/English, lack of ability to use search properly will be promptly targeted with flaming tarry boulders.

It's probably an issue with EADM. Try uninstalling, deleting registry keys, restart the computer and then do a fresh reinstall using your latest bought CD, and then update it if necessary. If it's any consolation, at the moment, after a fresh reinstall and no CC, the launcher works on my computer only if I have EADM open first, it otherwise crashes. I had issues before where I couldn't even download patches or download/upload things to the exchange or download the free things from the store if I installed any of the new EP patches that updated the game without having installed the EP as well. The download/upload issue would usually be solved after installing a new EP/SP.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Download Links: Sims 3 Skins & Addons (Update 20/7) on: 2009 July 23, 11:33:36
It's by Aikea Guinea at Club Crymsin. I don't think it's showerproof though. I asked her if she had figured out showerproofing accessories a few days ago and she said she hadn't.

You can give your sim an extra nevernude trait and assign swimming clothing as "naked" with invisible clothes and body hair. it will appear as the sim in naked when showering. I did that with a sim yesterday and it works great. Now we need peens as accessories to have the complete package.  Grin The only downside is they will go naked in the pool too but that's not too bad either.

I use Falcoknight's skins and I like that they look OK on both slim and fat ladies, without unnecessary details. For the males I can go with the shaved look untill there's better choice. I would love if someone just added nipples, pubes and body hair to maxis skins.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: is there a way to turn off opporunities or allow the sim to decide themselves? on: 2009 July 12, 11:32:16
No they don't. They also come up when a sim calls your sim and the game asks you if your sim wants to take the call.
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: How can we de-lard fat townies? on: 2009 July 12, 09:37:57
Would it be possible to mod foods so each fulfills hunger differently? We could then feed them on salads and stuff that don't fulfill their hunger meter fully so they will stay in shape for longer. Though it is good having all foods fulfill hunger fully, it's less time consuming.

Also that idea would make every Sim to be the same as behavior would not longer be connected to traits but it would be a "everything goes" by random chance.

Yes, but as I pointed above, the traits carry a specific set of interractions that sims will always perform so we can safely say the randomness level is 0 in their case for the interactions associated with their traits. However, it would be nice if grumpy sims will get a maybe 5% random chance that they will act nice, or childish or goof around. Or maybe a slob sim will get a 5% chance that he'll like to do the dishes one day and then he'll return to his usual self the next day. People don't behave the same all the time and it would be nice if sims would break the habits every now and then.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 Expansion In My Head on: 2009 July 07, 10:13:46
Hopeless Romantic: Gaze Into Eyes
Childish: Goof Around
Daredevil: Watch This!
Technophobe: Sabotage Electronics

List goes on.

There, you're spoon fed.

Those behaviours will always be linked to just those traits, like the idle animations were linked to TS2 personality points, and this makes all traits very predictable in behaviour. Maybe they should have enabled all interractions for all sims, but randomize the chances of sims performing them based on their traits. Like childish sims have a 50% chance to do the goof around animation and all other traits have it on varying smaller degrees based on the trait description, so this would give even a grumpy sim the chance to goof around occasionaly.

TS3 skins look very bad in game, especially during strong outside light. In my game sometimes they look like zombies but with pink skin instead of green. And clothes and textures on all objects become blurry if you don't have the camera zoomed in on them. So meh about coustomability if you can't see it effects properly in the game.
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 Expansion In My Head on: 2009 July 05, 20:47:05
Also rabbitholes simplify things quite a bit. You can't forget to put a cash register in the store if you don't have the option to build the inside of the store yourself. Granted, it would be nice to be able to, say, have a rabbithole object that you can place inside of a building you build yourself and there you go, custom rabbithole.

Plus now you don't have extraneous amounts of NPC bartenders, servers, chef, cashiers, etc. running around your hood.

Instead you've got all these weird NPCs that I have no idea what function they serve.. like lab technicians and magicians?

Actually, there's no need for NPC bartenders, servers, chefs, cashiers because now everyone's busy reading outside. I swear, at times, I feel like the whole neighbourhood has been taken over by a sect of family friendly knowledge sims.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 Expansion In My Head on: 2009 July 05, 20:23:57
After playing the game for a month, the only rabbt holes that I really want to open up are the restaurants and the spa (and maybe the theater).  I've actually come to like the grocery and bookstore rabbit holes.  They are very convient and if they opened up, you would only be performing the same action on an object inside.

That's how it was in Sims2 and that at least gave me the possibility to design the look of my grocery store. As it is, it's either the yellow building or none at all. If you think about it it shouldn't have been too hard to code the vegetable stand outside to sell vegetables, and then they could have added separate stands for fish, one for meat, eggs and cheeze and one for the bathroom supplies. It would have made a lot of difference, especially for people who like to decorate their own lots. The yellow building looks nice but it doesn't fit well in a sims games. What's next? Rabbit hole homes?

Some of the things you listed Zolabee would not work very well, we build cinemas in TS1 and TS2 with the end result was ... a mess.

Similar what would be the point of entering the hospital to just watch the baby delivery? there would be not much of player control over it.

Yes, and since there's not much difference between home delivery and hospital delivery, it makes you wonder why they went to so much trouble to add in the extra option. Why add it if I can't see it anyway? Same with the diner and the bistro. They are the same only for the bistro the sims change into formal wear and can eat outside. They are nice neighbourhood decorations but if my sims need to eat while in town they can munch on the things they have in their backpack, or they can grill, or have a picnic.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What 5 Buy Mode objects would you like Modders to make first? on: 2009 July 05, 16:18:54
I was a bit put out when I couldn't take my sims to a nightclub - where are they supposed to pick up dubious men? The library? I tried to make one, but it's byob. They can't woohoo in public either - it sucks.  Cry

I put a double bed on the beach bar and my female sim had no issues with woohooing Gus Something. When a teen female sim showed up Gus went up to her and asked her to leave. It was quite funny. I am presently redecorating my hood and incorporating apartment like features in the community lots. It's like free hotel for homeless sims.
Anyway, I would really love to have back the possibility to stack stairs on top of another on multiple floors, like normal buildings have. Alternating the location on each floor takes up too much space.

Hmmm, let's see...
- a free standing shower like the one that came with university
- a shelf with many slots to display stuff on
- useable placement slots on top of the short bookcases
- a square one tile table
- clutter of any kind (more plants, kitchen pots and utensils, bathroom supplies, gardening tools, etc.)

I want a sparkly pony and Sims2 game with open neighbourhood and CASt. Cheesy
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: The Sims 3 Expansion In My Head on: 2009 July 03, 22:56:43
Let's be realistic: OFB out of the box was crap. The employees were utterly retarded to the point of unusability, and the amount of senseless micromanagement was staggering. There was absolutely no facility for aiming lots for any purpose or clientele. What was REALLY worthwhile in it was the potential to own and control other lots...which was only available through AwesomeWare. That's what you really want.

For me at least, the best part about OFB was the building and decorating of venues that were run by unplayable sims and which I visited often with my playable sims. I had everything, from an art gallery, comedy club, karaoke bar, bookstore, cakeshop, nightclub, cemetary, golf club, gym and cityhall. Running or controlling the lots as a business manager wasn't a priority, in fact I found it to be very monotonous and tiresome.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I would like a Smoking Mod - Can it be done? on: 2009 June 29, 17:07:19
Maybe they should just add the coughing and choking animations the sims do while eating. My sims always do them and they're so annoying, especially considering the food is most of the time great, excellent or perfect quality. It would make more sense for smokers to have bad coughing fits, thogh I know most of them don't usually. maybe every now and then would be nice.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Share pix / vidz of THE HORROR here on: 2009 June 22, 19:19:46
In my game some townie Molly French (or something like that anyway) always gets stuck in central park, on the pavement near where the toilets are. There's a kid with her there and at one time I just ignored her to see how long she would stay there, but after the kid's diaper got dirty I had to use resetsim on her because everyone started complaining about the noisy kid. The kid wasn't noisy actually, just smelly.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Things you DO like... on: 2009 June 21, 23:51:59
I like how there are a lot of good money sinks though. The spa is always a good way to blow a load of simoleans. And just when you think you are rich, you buy a share in some businesses and suddenly need to snap them all up under your complete control, yet you need a metric ton of monies to be able do that. Although I've been able to turn my sim into some kind of mafia don, going around town each week to collect the "protection" money from his businesses, which has been kind of fun.

I've had my sim collect gems and sent them off to cutting on the most expensive cut. Expensive paintings were donated to the museum. Right now I'm in the process of buying out all the town businesses, but I'm not sure what my sim is going to do once that is achieved.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Facts & Strategery / Re: Story Mode: A Random @Toading: Congratulations to Draklixa! on: 2009 June 16, 09:43:17
It appears they worked so hard on the town AI, to make it into a living breathing town. Just put random occurence everywhere and call it a day. It probably took them half an hour to write the code for that. They put so much thought into the traits and the create a style and then they did a very sloppy job on the real importat aspects of the game. I am actually contemplating reinstalling my Sims2 game.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: sims 3 will not update razor 1911 version on: 2009 June 14, 19:38:27
Those version numbers make much more sense now. I thought they released some patch when the game was first released in the states but then they changed their mind and removed it before the game was released in the other parts of the world.  Cheesy
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: sims 3 will not update razor 1911 version on: 2009 June 14, 01:26:26
Actually, it's both. It's a patch which updates v1.0.631.00002 (Razor) to v1.0.632.00002, which is a retail version, and it also comes with cracked .exe. j_wagon, I think your problem has to do with firewall blocking the launcher. Mine is blocked too, and also shows the "page not found".

My store bought game is v1.0.631.00002. Do people in the States actually have their game as v1.0.632.00002? Not fair...

22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Opportuni-teez on: 2009 June 13, 12:50:19
I am also a slave-driving puppetmaster, and rarely get any opportunities...possibly because my Sims skill up faster than opportunities generate. I have been gardener lvl 10 for several Simweeks and have yet to get the Omni Plant Challenge from the stupid cafe. Anyway, I'd like MOAR opportunities.

I think you need to first plant using the omni plant from the science center. My sim did that and right afterwards got the challenge for the seeds.
Anyway, in my game the opportunities have been few and can't say that they bother me much. Except when this old fella got an opportunity from the stadium that he's got talent and that he should skill up. Or when my loner sim got an opportunity to befirend some rich old guy to improve charisma. They are weird and I agree with the OP that I could easily do without them.

She just placed it inside the basement under the barn buildings.  Cheesy
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: Secret Research Lab on: 2009 June 12, 09:29:10
That looks spooky.   Cheesy I find it quite frustrating trying to give some personal touches to the neighbourhood seeing as it's no longer possible to remove the neighbourhood decorations.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Borken stuff: toddlers, birthdays, dead spots on: 2009 June 08, 22:11:11
I have the same issue with toddlers that need to go to another room so that their parent can pick them up. It seems like they generally need more room than in Sims2 to move around. It's a bit annoying but I've gotten used to it. However, I got a baby that got two traits on birth and no trait upon aging to toddlerhood with the cake. Weren't they supposed to get one trait on each birthday?
