Does anyone have a solution to this?

I've followed all of the directions posted on MTS about installing patches and what to do if an invalid file error pops up. I've even reinstalled the game. The error still pops up. The file causing all the mayhem is a 'code_version.txt' file. No matter what, it shows up in red with MTS's Patch Log Viewer program. I'm not sure what else there is to do to fix it. I don't have WA and I have no CC.

There's something going on with my game.

1) Two households that I play rarely receive wants anymore. And with every household, none of the wants disappear after I achieve them nor do the sims gain Lifetime Points.

2) This weird stop-and-go thing is happening. My sim will be doing something like cooking a meal, stop in the middle of the animation, continue, stop animation, continue, and so on. This happens with everything I tell my sims to do. I know sims have a habit of standing there like idiots before doing an action, but now it takes them even longer to start.

3) My time skips 2 and 3 numbers at a time. For example, it'll be 7:50, skip to 7:52, skip to 7:53, and so on.

# 2 and 3 happened with TS2 too. I'm wondering if this is a computer glitch but I played TS2 and play TS3 on different computers. #1 happened before I installed the new patch, but #2 and 3 just started. 
 

I was under the impression that Unflirty sims would be really hard to get in bed but they are still slutty whores once they build up a relationship with someone.

I like Schmoozer sims because of the interactions available to them early on and they become friends faster with their co-workers and boss faster.

Is Loves the Outdoors of any use besides getting a positive moodlet? My Outdoorsy sim did get a want to start gardening and she wasn't a Green Thumb.

I would upload her but I don't know how since she was born in-game. It would be interesting to see how everyone revamps her.

I don't understand what happened. I think Meredith and Dakota look decent, so WTF went wrong? Here's her brother to compare:

Do you buy the seeds or do you find them like with the bugs and crystal rocks?

Does anyone know where the Garden section is? One of my sims want to garden, I can't seem to find the section for nothing.

Am I blind or is there no gardening section? I can't find it for some odd reason.

See, that's waht I'm scared of. I don't want to return to my favorite household and see my kiddies are phantoms.

Ugh, the fucking download just wouldn't work for me. Everytime I downloaded it, it said that the file was damaged or unknown. Then, when I use the crack and keygen and press the TS3 icon, it said it's missing some 'dl3dx9_31.dll' file.

I'll just wait until the damn official release. The game can't worth the trouble I've been through.
