51  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Career Outfit on: 2006 April 02, 22:37:58
Mine keep going home in hula skirts and Psychiatrist outfits. lol
I suppose it's better than shorts paired with winter jackets or sandals and turtleneck sweaters. Tongue

I wonder what that "warrior" outfit was originally intended for.

Every time you use Inteen, god steps on a kitten until it dies a horrible, bleeding death.
53  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Leave My Shop!!! on: 2006 March 31, 22:41:03
Ideally, it would be nice if they left after making a purchase but that isn't so. Normally, what I do is either a) Show them something to buy or if that doesn't work I b) Show them the door. This only applies to the troublemakers though.

*thinks we need a "business uses you" hack*
54  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No Plat Grave for my poor grilled cheese simmie on: 2006 March 31, 22:36:56
OK, maybe I'm spreading misinformation since my sims are always perma-plat when the reaper comes calling. But does it make sense to you that they get special treatment just because they were in a temporary state of platinum? No, that seems like a "close but no cigar" kind of situation to me. Then again, knowing goofy Maxis logic, anything is possible.
55  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Post problems you've noticed, on: 2006 March 31, 21:55:26
I've got some nasty jump bugs as well as the blank want slots as well. Like you, I can't seem to pinpoint what's causing them either (eg. no object error logs, etc.).

As a side note that's more comical than on topic, one of my post-uni family sims has five blank want slots and the sixth slot is always "Woohoo in bed". I guess that's all she wants now that she's done it all. Cheesy
56  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis violation of Servo's civil rights on: 2006 March 31, 21:48:58
Adults can't technically live on campus, if you're playing by Maxis rules. Servo is considered an adult. Servo also requires a considerable amount of social attention which makes it a bad choice for university lots since normally, your students don't have time to babysit a servo as they're too busy working, building up Greek Houses and other Uni-type activities.
57  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No Plat Grave for my poor grilled cheese simmie on: 2006 March 31, 21:43:50
Did you achieve permanent platinum, or just a normal platinum mood? They need to be perma-plat for the pretty tombstone.
58  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any way to Remove Badges rather than just set them to Bronze or some crap li on: 2006 March 30, 14:23:55
Ah, I see. Need more coffee before I post silly questions.

No, I'm not JM but my workers don't get paid squat regardless.  Cheesy
I've been trying to hire the neighborhood kids to make shoes and small, worthless plastic toys with "Made In Sim City" stamped on the bottom.
59  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Any way to Remove Badges rather than just set them to Bronze or some crap li on: 2006 March 30, 14:10:27
Why would want you remove the badges? Just because they have a certain badge, doesn't mean they have to do the job associated with it, and they can still earn other badges. Besides, you never know when you'll need them again.

60  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 28, 14:19:10
It's only a game, Anelca.

Wink
61  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is this possible? on: 2006 March 27, 22:00:29
Yes, it's called Open For Business.  Cheesy
62  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pink Servo on: 2006 March 27, 21:57:34
I knew about the vampire issue but forgot to mention it, so yes if she gets bitten and becomes a vampire she'll lose her pink recolored head. If you want to keep her pink, just don't make her a vampire. Tongue

lol, not like it needs to be a vampire since, like vampires, it doesn't age either.

On the other side, the zombie robots are slightly comical since they tend to complain about doing chores all day long.
63  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Got myself a bunch of new customers! on: 2006 March 27, 21:29:08
Interesting how they've segregated the neighborhoods like that. I presume it's that way because they they can't expect everyone to have the same combination of explanation packs, then again, I'm sure the extra code would be trivial to add over at EA/Maxis that would allow global townie traversal (eg. if the user has this EP, then do this, if not, do this instead).

Not a big deal really, there's enough townie clutter as it is and you could always place another business downtown if you really wanted to.

64  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Got myself a bunch of new customers! on: 2006 March 27, 18:45:56
Downtown won't come uptown?

That's odd, I've seen them walking around base neighborhoods before. Or maybe I was hallucinating.
65  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Post problems you've noticed, on: 2006 March 26, 20:41:37
Put a barrier around the cash register with lockable gate style doors. Wink
It might not be too glamorous, but it works.
66  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 26, 20:32:55
Since when do your sim kids have time to play anyways?

Mine come home, do homework, eat, nap, skill, sleep. Weekends you say? No, you skill.
No, you cannot be a kid in my sim household and therefore you may not have the "fun pack" now go to your room and study up on cooking. Don't come out until you're at least level 8. Tongue
67  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: stupid mistake (please delete) on: 2006 March 26, 03:50:15
LMAO! Git to bed!
68  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Family Fun pack at *GRASPS* $20.00! on: 2006 March 26, 02:14:40
mmmm whats spore. sounds like a game i could play .

Google it, it sounds awesome and I for one, can't wait.

www.spore.com lol

Although I'm sure you'd enjoy Will Wright's presentation more than the web site: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8372603330420559198&q=spore
69  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: i hate my customers, *why?* on: 2006 March 26, 02:05:53
I was playing one day and noticed that I didn't have any customers for, well, a long time. I looked way down at the end of the lot, and just out of earshot, they were all playing kicky bag. I had to laugh, their customer loyalty was going up and up. Problem was, I wasn't making any money! Tongue I shooed them and they came back to shop.

I don't mind them goofing around in the store, that's the way they are. Customer loyalty and stars are simple to regain as long as you're playing the shop properly.

Of course, I have a problem with them losing loyalty over the actions of another sim. It makes little sense to me that someone would get mad at the shop owner if someone else pops them with a water balloon. Get over it! Stop complaining! What do you want me to do, kill them off? They don't work here! lol  Cheesy

Squinge's mod is a bit extreme for my taste. I don't need sedated customers.
70  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Kill sims with lightsabers!!! on: 2006 March 26, 01:57:35
That's an oldie. Wink

I used that to wipe out ugly Uni kids. Of course, now with JM's fix, they wipe themseleves out.  Cheesy
71  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Post problems you've noticed, on: 2006 March 26, 01:56:24
Hmm, speaking of which, one of my shops went poof as well. I can't get into it visiting or to go to work.
The game just crashes with a windows error rather than a sims2 error dialog and thus, no error log is created by the game. Undecided

Damn. I wonder how many other shops are broken for me.

Oh well. Smiley
72  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Well so much for the elevators! on: 2006 March 26, 01:48:25
But OT on the uplifting theme of things...  Tongue

Touché! Smiley
73  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Restaurants selling only one type of food? on: 2006 March 25, 23:37:12
Now having fires in a restaurant, and you CAN have them on a community lot now at least if it's an owned business, tends not to be good for business. Wink

Are you sure? I've had visitors come over, use the on-site oven, leave the food in it and walk away. I waited for the fire (for some twisted reason) but it never started. Maybe only your playables can start fires on community lots?
74  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Remotely managing a business on: 2006 March 25, 23:34:42
I'm not certain what calculates the revenue since it seems well out of whack to me.

I have a clothing store being remotely run and it generates $1K+ a day just selling clothes and perfume.
I have another shop that sells miscellaneous items and it generates $60 a day.
Then there's the robot shop that only makes $800 a day.

I don't get it. Clothes make more cash than robots?

I'm sure someone will figure out what variables create a good, remotely operated business.
75  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Split-Level Interior Foundations on: 2006 March 25, 23:27:44
Numenor's custom walls hack may also interfere with split level flooring.

They work 100% here.
