176  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: This new furious state on: 2005 October 01, 07:46:15
One thing Ive never understood is why the sim who catches their love cheating is the one who has to apologise!

This seems to have changed somehow - Ryan caught his wife Kim woohooing another sim in his truck on a community lot.  When I went back to their house, he was of course furious, and wanted to beat her in a fight.  She wasn't mad at him at all, but had the option to apologise.  I didn't use it though - I let him fight her (he won) and they have since divorced.

just curious, did the toddler end up furious at her mother?

oh and the buy off option is for rivals - sims can pay their rivals to stop hassling them if they don't want to fight them.

it's kind of fun - my sim's new wife hates his ex-wife almost as much as he does, and she's never even talked to her.  I'm worried about spreading corrupted memories though.
179  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Bad mouthing on: 2005 September 26, 07:02:58
I like the idea of the new "bad mouth" interaction - sims can bad mouth those they're furious with, and the sim they're talking to loses relationship points with the bad mouthed sim.  Every time I do it though, I get a corrupted memory thought bubble (the coloured vertical lines one).  Does anyone else get this or is it just my game?  I've tried it with 2 different sims now.
180  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't Talk, EAT! grrrr on: 2005 September 24, 23:51:58
I just had a sim child get rejected from private school because the headmaster took too long to eat his meal with all the chatting, so food points stayed at zero. When I had him back over I made him eat alone.   Undecided
181  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What the, Townie has no phone? on: 2005 September 24, 02:23:44
pre-nightlife I could always call a sim in the family bin if they had a cell phone - now I can't!

I seem to remember that it was the phone hack that let you do this.

Sure enough, there was no memory of the photo booth woohoo.

My sims woohoo'd in the photo booth and got a "public woohoo" memory.  It still talked about how much fun clothes shopping was though.

They come back just before they age transition if there is someone on the lot... but I can't answer the original question of what happens if everyone on the lot dies/leaves.  I cheated and had a teen run away prior to uni, so not sure if they show up in the "send sims to college" screen. Might check that later.
184  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / what to remove from downloads folder before installing nightlife? on: 2005 September 12, 06:00:16
No I don't have it yet - but would like to prepare.  Should I just remove all hacks? Is it worth trying to keep something like no townie regen? I really don't want to have a whole bunch of ugly townies in my nice neighbourhood... what do people advise?
thanks in advance.
185  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Mysterious Data loss from Downloads on: 2005 August 17, 06:49:24
This just happened to me with a new skirt mesh I downloaded.  The sim wearing it appeared in something else.  I used JM's clothing tool to see if I could buy it back - it's picture was there showing that it was still in the wardrobe, but when I clicked it only the model's head would show.  Same thing with plan outfit.  I haven't downloaded anything new in between the last time it showed up fine and this happening.

Oh dear.  So are my other families also screwed now?
187  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / uni sims regressing (losing extra want slots) on: 2005 August 12, 06:21:59
I moved a newly graduated couple into a house back in pleasantview - one of the maxis ones that was originally in the unoccupied lots bin.  The game initially crashed, and when I reentered it, they have both regressed to having only 4 want slots and only one want lock.  Lot debugger can't upgrade them (I guess because they're not pre-uni sims).  Does anyone know if this is fixable?  Huh
188  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: AutoYakYak Macro Phone Caller (07/31/05) on: 2005 August 11, 07:41:38
This is a known effect of what happens if you install the phone hack while somebody is on the phone. Make sure people in all saved lots are not on the phone before installing phone-mods of any kind.

Thank you. Reinstalled it with no one on the phone and it works fine now.  Smiley

I am currently having an issue with the phones in my sim's dorm - I have the latest version of this and the phone hack.  Each time I have a sim 'call friends', I get the  "hi _____ do you want to join our call?" popup even though no one is on the phone.  If I say yes they just hang up and it happens again, if I say no, they can then 'call friends'.  Am I the only one this is happening to?
190  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Married a cheerleader who always dresses as lama on: 2005 July 30, 01:11:40
Thanks for the help - I will see if I can find the casual NPC hack and see if it does anything.

It doesn't matter what I leave her in when I leave the lot, scoob, she still turns up elsewhere in the lama suit.  It's not that big a deal I guess, I will just avoid messing with the uni NPCs again.

It's definitely the uni can't see the face mascot.  No one in that house is in the athletic career track (she's a criminal mastermind at the moment).

191  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Married a cheerleader who always dresses as lama on: 2005 July 28, 07:11:50
My sim married one of the cheerleaders, and whenever she visits another sim or appears downtown, she shows up in a lama outfit.  I gather this is to do with the game not properly realising she's no longer an NPC - is that right and is there anything that can be done about it?
