TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / THE Community Lot
|
on: 2009 August 18, 23:11:22

Sims3Addicted made a huge Community lot, an All-In-One lot It's designed for replacing the Central Park because of the size (64x64), but after having it you can erase all the other lots it replaces. On the lot, you'll find: The Grocery Store Theater Diner Business Building (x2) Spa/Salon Book Store Police Department Restaurant Playground BBQ Area Chess Board Picnic Blankets (You'll need to bring your picnic basket!) Bathroom Facilities Nursery (See notes) Sleeping Facilities (See notes) You can download it here: http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=364827

The AwesomeMOD gets rid of the mosaic just fine, and regarding the FSG, I play it well in my game, so, I don't really see how is that a problem.
When you want to re-add a saved game you just need the files in the folder called Saves, that's it, unless you're playing Riverwood, in that case you'll need to re-install it too.

I'm having this issue, where my teen sims get to met in high school, almost every week the smae friggin sim! I have no idea what's causing it, the sim is Something Lum, don't know if you're having the same issue, in my sims' relationship panel it shows the same pic of this sim, but in different poses, same traits, same look... At first it was hilarious, but my teen sims are meeting now 4 different Lum sims

I removed the Pedophile trait to one of my sims, but for some reason the SexOffender trait can't be dropped I might add the Incontinent trait to another sim

I think he means he had an arred version of the game and then he got a legit one. If so, then your problem is that probably the uninstaller was just borked, that happens even on legit versions of the game, and thus leaving trash behind any uninstall or worse, failing to succesfully uninstalling the whole thing. In order to fix this, you'll have to remove all files manually and then run the RegEdit (don't know how to do that on Vista ), once there, do a search of "Eletronic Arts" or "Sims3"/"The Sims 3" and remove the files that are shown on the results, but BEWARE!, make sure you don't delete other non-sims3 values, otherwise you will royally f*ck up your computer. After that your new install of the retail version of TS3 will run normally, or at least that worked for me, don't do anything I wrote above if you're not 100% sure about it, I don't want you to come here crying if you suck at Registry Editor and did it all wrong. Hope that helps, if that's the case.

Yet another nearly clueless person trying, and failing, to apply this patch. I'm installing it on a fresh install (not arred or downloaded) - no mods or anything. The rtpatch.log tells me this: "Blah blah blah Applying DFC Update for 'Game\Bin\code_version.txt' Error: err0031 - Invalid file found"
I have replaced the code_version.txt with the one copied off the CD many times, but still no luck. Bah.
Have you Re-installed from blank and then applied the 1st patch right after? Also make sure to have the correct version of the patches (US/WW/EU/DD). No matter what things you replace, some of the games are seriously borked.

My update was unsuccesful several times, I DID removed all of my Mods and I didn't have any .ini edited files, it just couldn't update my game properly, so this is what I did in order to get this crap working: 1. I made a Back-Up of My Documents folder (For the saved games and downloads). 2. Uninstalled the game. (In my case the uninstaller was all f*cked up (what a surprise don't you think? ), so I had to manually delete the game folder from the installation directory, then I opened the RegEdit and searched for every trace of TS3, in this case I just searched for Electronic Arts, since I had no other EA game installed atm (thank heaven ), then I erased the folders containing all those Electronic Arts values, but I had to check very well what I was erasing, don't do it if you don't know what the hell you're doing, otherwise you'll damage your programs or even your OS. And with that done, that was it, no more TS3.) 3. Then I re-installed the game, as usual. 4. After that I applied the 1st patch. 5. And finally this new patch ran correctly. NOTE: You HAVE to run your game without any Mods after you re-installed and patched it, that way your game will create again the files to run properly, after you do that, exit the game and restore your backed-up data, you're also free now to re-add the mods that you want, but you need to watch out for the updates of the Core Mods only, or the game will crash (How blessing is EA ). I hope that helps you morons
