That is the old way, which still does work, or at least did, maybe. Try doing it the post-Ambitions way and see if that fixes things. Generations may have broken the old way. Besides the new way is a lot easier and simpler.

I am puzzled now what is the post-ambitions way?  I haven't seen anything on that or can you send me the link to it?

There is a thread in the AM section of this forum that has a thread in it called HOW TO INSTALL THE FRAMEWORK AND AWESOMEMOD. Have a go at reading that,it might help you.

Thank you Freckles, here is the link I did do a little searching and found the link so those that are having the same issue here is the link and also want to thank kissing_toast for the link after this helped also.

Another question for anyone, when using s3pe?  Is there a link to show how to use this, this is what I have been doing but do not know if it is correct, "I select new, then go to resource, select my file I want to work on, it then pops up a screen which normally has something crossed out, then I select ok, and save as to what ever name I want, is this correct or is there a webpage to go to?

Fixed that for clarity. I meant the pre-Ambitions method where mods used to go into the game directory. If you're still using that and it works for you, whatever. As long as you know what you're doing it shouldn't be a problem, unlike the OP where  I suspect they are still using the old method of installing CC and they fucked it up somehow.
Witch WAS talking about the old method.  A lot of people still use it and it works fine.

What is the new method then.  I moved to Peru and kind of got out of the aspect of playing sims3 and now playing it once again, is there a link or something that shows me how to use it or set it up?

It's an issue going on, I had the same thing, sitll working out the bugs on it though, but what I found was any skill related mod itself has to be romoved.  I had to uninstall and reinstall the sims so it shows the skills now.  Now I am dealing with the issue that content previously played or previously installed is not showing up, lol, but now the skills are there.  So if you have any skill based mod's remove them.  There is a work around when removing it, turn off the aging, then get them to read the skill books at faced paced.  I know it is more difficult with a toddler as you can't make the toddler pee when you want it to, lol, but this is the best work around I have found at the moment.

Installed Generations, now most of the packages or sims packs are missing, or not showing in the game anyone else have this problem?  Is there a work around?  I have taken what packages didn't show and transferring them so I can use them or try to use them, but alot of the store packages that were from here now are not showing up,  Cry  anyone have an idea on this?

Are you possibly still using the old, pre-Ambitions framework?

I do not know if it is old or not, I set up a file called mods, inside the file are 2 files, one called packages, the other called files, and put in the following files into the files package Resource.cfg and then DDFMap.text, then also in the game files put in another copy of the resource.cfg (in the main sims game file), then in the bin I put in a d3dx9_31.dll file.  This what I have done in the past and seemed to work all the way through to Outdoor Living.  I put the mods package into the The Sims Game files which in in my C: drive then just for assurance put another mod's file the same way into my documents/Electronic Arts/Sims3, besides that I add the resource.cfg amd the d3dx9_31.dll file to each one of the expansions or stuff packs.  This is the way I have been doing it unless there is something else now that I do not know about?

I looked and did not see anything posted on this, or at least none that I could find so if it is posted excuse this.  I installed generations now majority of the packages are not showing up, anyone have an idea as to what to do besides uninstall generations, before this everything was working fine.  With the exception of a few sims.packs that were not showing, now majority of my downloads are not showing either sims.pack or sims.package, any clue as to what to do? Embarrassed

I apologize for being in the redundancy department, but since so many of you use the framework installer, I thought maybe here there might be either a site that might have a new one for late night, or perhaps someone has updated Delphy's framework installer.  Since it is not updated on MTS, this is why the question.

Digital download, I have digitally downloaded the Sims Late Night.  Aways seems to come up in debigging mode not sure if anyone knows why, even EA can not expalin why?  My question is; Is there an update for the framework installer for late night or do not I need it?  I have it up to Ambitions but it hasn't been updated for fast lane and has not been updated for Late Night.

Well that answers that question not that it really bothers me but I wasn't sure if it would affect the game or not having the same files in the game.  I have downloaded content from here, one file from one another file from another, but they both have one file the same this is why I was wondering if there was a way to remove multiple files that are the same.  Thank you for answering my question.

I am curious if there is a tool or a mod to remove duplicate content from packages that have been installed from de crapified packages?  I probably have overlooked it............. but been looking and haven't seen anything.

LOL, Ok, I am going to ask a dumb question, as I was looking for a tutatorial to transfer the sims3packages that you get from the EA store to simspack.  Will this allow me to put the content that others have purchased in my game and then click install and it will install the content, normally it will not install any of the content, I have to search for simspack files and put them in a mod file for them to show in the game.  I downloaded and installed the framework, made sure this file (d3dx9_31.dll) was in my game/bin/ folder.  The simspack files will show in the game but other content will not.  Always says make sure I have the latest patch.  Will the instructions allow me to put the sims3packs that you normally would get from EA store and put into my game?

This is probably a stupid question but how do you use these in the sim castaway, I have a downloads folder already, and have put the files in it, but when I go to created a family it still shows the block feet.
