It's my non French side speaking.
That's the thing when you're bi-cultural, one side of you sometimes feels the urge to point and laugh at you other side.

I can relate to that. But even so, don't you sometimes get the urge to defend that very same side?

yes buy each one  Wink

Well, that would be considerable, if I had money to waste, but no, I think I'd rather keep it for a better purpose.

You could always download Delphy's CUSTARD tool and remove the items you don't want then save it out as a new sims3pack.

Thanks!

Is there any way to get these three items separately from each other, not the "March2011" all-in-one?
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.22/2.16/3.12/4.9/5.7/6.4/7.2/8.0 on: 2011 June 13, 01:38:53
I have a reason to believe that something in my game was broken with this patch... I have no EPs or SPs, only base game, and since I patched to 1.22 it is lagging terribly. Sims wait for a long time to start an action, then wait to realize it's completed... They also lose time (the clock skips a few sim-minutes once in a while). All this effects in them constantly being late to work/school and not having enough time to complete most of the stuff they used to in a day.

Things tried:
Overwatch - used before, using still, no effect.
Fixall - seemed to make it better for a while, but it's worse again and this isn't helping.
Master Controller "Reset Everything" - no effect.
Resetsim * - no effect.

Even lowering settings has no effect. And the game was running perfectly smoothly before the patch, nothing else is new in it.
I think it could be because of townie sims earning memories constantly, but it's only a guess.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Updater (v2.5 - Updated 02/01/2011) on: 2011 February 19, 11:24:21
Can there be anything done with it, so it doesn't automatically start the game after updating?
6  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Random Crash to Desktop on: 2010 May 17, 07:04:47
I am having a crash to desktop just a second after I click the icon to open the game, nothing even starts happening, it just crashes immediately. The weird thing is (it sounded completely impossible to me at first, but it's proven to be consistent) it starts when I have TS2 running. At first when it didn't load I just thought "ok, I'll play TS2 now and figure what's wrong later". Then after a while minimized TS2 and tried TS3 again. It loaded so I thought that crash was random. But when the next time I turned on my computer again and tried to run TS3, it crashed again! I tried a few times, then loaded TS2, minimized it, and TS3 loaded just fine. I have no idea how this could be connected as they are in different folders, but it obviously is connected somehow.
I have only TS3 base game, using Windows XP and I'm not sure it started to happen immediately after that or some time later, but it's after I have reinstalled windows.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Plots / Re: TS1 Newbie House (7 Sim Lane) on: 2010 April 09, 14:08:30
Oh, so I'm not so lonely (unique?) in my ideas and attempts. I have also recently rebuilt Bob's and Betty's house in the Sims 3. I will upload a few pictures later today. Nice solution with the two-tile table, I actually put three one-tile tables, since there originally was a four-tile one. I also made Bob in TS3, but still working on Betty, her face is harder to make.

<Edit>
So here are the pictures of my version:

8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Where's the grave? on: 2009 November 28, 23:27:28
After a long time of living with a "I hate TS3 mood" I decided to give it a try again, installed the newest awesomemod, killed all sims in riverview, moved in my own family and haven't switched to any other ever since. Now the first sim in the family died, he was at home at the moment of death, and the tombstone is nowhere to be found. It's not on the home lot, it's not in the cemetery. It's the first time I have a sim die in this game, so maybe I just don't know where to look?
9  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Neighborhood population out of balance or what is happening? on: 2009 July 19, 16:19:36
Not sure if it fits under the "population out of balance", but I play with story progression on, aging on and "no one gets out alive", but families keep moving out until after two sim days of playing I'm left with 2-3 families, one of them being the one I'm playing and the other 1-2 the ones my sim happened to meet. So basically I'm left with an almost empty neighborhood and I said it in the buggedness thread but was ignored... Um, save files? I haven't saved actually. I just quit the game, triple-checked my config file, tried again and when it all happened once more I also didn't save. Off to try once more and save this time... Be back with a save file.

EDIT: Ok, false alarm here... I didn't think of deleting cache files and when I did it works properly now.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wishes that don't fulfill on: 2009 June 16, 17:21:51
In my experience, the 'get more muscular' wish never fulfills. Though I think my sims only ever get it when they reach the max their bodies can handle so...

One of my sims fulfilled that when I was first playing the game. But I don't remember how... But I remember it was fulfilled for sure.
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Tuning mods - in testing on: 2009 June 16, 14:47:11
Am I the only one who thinks toddlers gain their skills faster than in TS2? And even the lifestage is longer, so they have more time! The only annoyance is that the bladder need bar doesn't really show the truthful info. One second it's still yellow and looks like I can wait a little more before clicking to potty-train the toddler (I like to wait as much as possible, so that it takes lesser amount of trainings in total) and just a second after it's already full with hygiene red.

But thanks for this one!

  • Genetics: lowers the probability of mutation from 10% to 1%, both for hair and eyes.
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wishes that don't fulfill on: 2009 June 15, 12:06:41
When your relationship is at its maximum with whoever you get an option in the friendly tree to ask to be bff. If the person accepts then the wish is fulfilled.

What if they happened to become romantic interests before the relationship hit the maximum?
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Wishes that don't fulfill on: 2009 June 15, 11:55:21
BFF appears to be broken -- if BFF is retardese for 'best friend'. I have several Sims which are mutually at 100% relationship and the wish still cannot be fulfilled.

BFF is a "best friend forever". I don't know how to get it though, the wish description says "find something in common" or something like that. I've had two teens, one of them (the one that had the wish of being a BFF with the other) discovered the other is also a snob, just like him. No BFF. Haven't tested this fully yet.

The Prima Guide (I know, I know, lies and propaganda...) says "Use the BFF social and stay above 60 in the relationship. This is a teen-only LTR." I have no idea what's a BFF social, never seen it.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Genetics questions on: 2009 June 14, 16:50:30
I was just wondering... (Don't have the game yet) Are genetics determined at conception or birth?

Gender can be altered during the pregnancy. Not sure about appearance.
When having a baby from a ghost, the ghost or non-ghost (normal) baby is determined at birth. Tested and proven.
15  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 13, 22:49:08
Forgive my blondness if I say something stupid now, but... you're running the pirated version, so the exe file with which you start the game is the one that doesn't ask for a cd (the one that's in the crack folder somewhere, or something like that). So you disabled the nocd since you don't need it. I'm running the original, not through the launcher but directly the TS3.exe, but since mine is the original install from the cd, I'm keeping the nocd in the awesomemod, because if I disable the nocd it will ask me for a cd?
So somehow the TS3.exe that comes with the pirated version works better with the mod?
16  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 13, 21:54:56
Oh, sorry, I only understood what exactly you meant when I read your post for like a tenth time.
Your statement that you haven't found anything on this thread about NoCD distracted me in the wrong direction.
Well there are solutions here how to make the game not to crash, loading not from the launcher, so now I'm not sure I understand, what exactly your problem is?
17  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 13, 21:14:58
I searched for NoCD and did not find it in this thread... I only get the startup CTD when I try to use the NoCD (launching from the TS3.exe instead of the launcher as advised) - of course, if I use the Launcher, I can't use the NoCD, but then my game loads fine with the Awesome Mod.  Huh

From the awesome mod thread:

CONSOLE & DEBUG FEATURES:
1.  Configure AwesomeMod Dynamically!
Use code "showconfig" to see all current AwesomeMod configurations.
Use code "setconfig <option> <value" to change an option.
Configuration does not save, changes are for this session only.
Use online AwesomeMod Config File Generator to make persistent changes.
2.  Integrated NoCD: Don't Kill Your CD Drive! [Optional - Default: Enabled]
3.  Debug commands Enableable  [Optional - Default: Disabled]
Use code "setconfig enabledebugcommands true" to enable this option,
or set as enabled in optional config.
4.  "maxmotives" cheat added. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW?!?
5.  Additional codes for "destroyallhumans". Also townies, npcs.
6.  "dresser <SIM NAME>", "mirror <SIM NAME>". Self-explanatory.
7.  Shift-Click a sim to use new "Select Sim" option.
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 June 13, 16:00:34
The pregnant Agnes Crumplebottom was not pregnant when naked. She was soon to give birth, but somehow took her baby off with the clothing when going to take a shower and put it back on with clothing after showering.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Stupid Opportuni-teez on: 2009 June 13, 13:57:06
I would like opportunities to come up more often. Or at least some of them. Like the "make a playable ghost" one? It would be great not to wait a whole sim's lifetime to get that one.
20  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 13, 08:55:06
Rebooting also doesn't always work. I find it more useful to remove the awesomemod, load the game (don't play, just let it load to and quit without loading any neighborhood), then install the awesomemod again and it works. To me this worked everytime, while other things seemed random. But it looks like it's different for everyone.

Edit - this seems to work too, perfectly, every time:

So, I've been having the on-load crash more often recently (wasn't getting it at all before). I think I've found a solution that works every time, for me, at least.

1. delete the cache files
2. start the game. It crashes. The cache files are regenerated, but they're all, like, 1k
3. don't touch the new cache files, start the game again. Everything works.

So far, that method is 3 for 3, but any other method seems to fail.

(I don't have the errorscript package installed right now, FYI).

If this persists, I may just make a copy of those fresh cache files and write a little batch file that overwrites the existing ones with the fresh ones before starting the game.

21  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 12, 18:22:19
Don't put anything in the recycle bin. Just delete it. REALLY delete it. I never use the recycle bin, what's the point? I actually don't even use the windows explorer, I prefer file manager. When it deletes, it actually deletes. End of story. Makes life easier.

On windows (up to XP, I don't know about Vista), deleting a file puts it in the recycle bin.  Doesn't matter if you hit the 'delete' key or right click and selecting 'delete', it will go into the recycle bin.  You then have to empty the recycle bin to really get rid of them and free up hard disk space.

Ever heard of shift+delete?
22  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AWESOMEMOD & SCRIPT HACKS: CRASH ISSUES THREAD on: 2009 June 12, 16:28:02
Deleting the cache files is not enough.  I also have to empty the recycle bin.  Normally I empty the bin automatically, but sometimes I'm eager to play so I forget, and the game CTD's but when I empty the bin it works fine

You are lucky. Doesn't work.
The game worked fine yesterday. Today it crashes. I delete all the files that include "cache" in them. Works. I played. Had to quit. Deleted all the files that include "cache" in the name. Crash... Check - they didn't re-appear. Read this post. Reinstalled the awesomemod and the config file. Crash. Not working.
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Heartbreaker LTW question on: 2009 June 04, 16:41:48
Not that I know for sure, but since the girlfriend/boyfriend is shown as a "partner" that other sims can learn if you have or not, I guess it would be logical that there was only one girlfriend/boyfriend available at a time. Not that I'd like that...
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Just a word of warning - - Walmart Prima Guide on: 2009 June 04, 16:32:42
Well I didn't buy any previous Prima Guides, but like I said, since the game was free to me this time, I decided to try. I might regret that later, I don't deny the possibility.

And um... Go ahead and laugh at me, but I love lists. I mean I LOVE lists. I have a notebook with all TS2 careers, all 10 levels of each with workdays, work hours and payments written down. And stuff like that. And I have lots of lists from snooty sims printed or written down. And I like having it somewhere not on the internet when the site can be down or I just might not want to alt+tab or something else. You have no idea how much time I spent with the reloaded (aka free trial) version, going through ALL premade families and making a list on excel with the names, ages, traits and lifetime wishes of each sim. Guess what, I've seen on a free preview pdf that the Prima Guide book has that list. That fact alone makes me love that book. Means I won't have to print or write down that from my pc, I'll have the paper version of the list in the book.
(I wonder what trait could represent this weird thing about me, but I'm a Knowledge sim for sure.)

Edit: Oh and by the way, one of the dead guys in someone's family tree (maybe the gay guy? I don't remember... gonna have to check) had "Artistic" and "Can't Stand Art" traits, which are (are they?) impossible to have both.
