I was wondering as I am also on the list...if the effect isn't really detrimental, I won't worry myself about it too much. Still, psychos with my info would make me a little nervous.
I had an inkling they knew when all the ads and pop ups had something to do with pirates. I kind of expected my name to be on there.

I didn't get too unglued about everyone having the proper memories, all I was really concerned about was personalities, relationships, and family ties.

I'm not too concerned about the memories, it just seems as though people think they're necessary? I'm not sure.
I think I won't worry too much about rebuilding the entire family (dead sims and all) but just the living ones and just bid my dead sims adieu. SimSurgery isn't too bad and linking them isn't too hard either. Perhaps I'll attempt the dead sims in a different Neighborhood folder and see how it turns out.
Thanks for the help.

Packaging dead sims, doesn't work too well.

Basically, you're SOL. You should address the corruption at its source instead.

Can I clone dead sims and give them a death token or something?
How do I find the source?
Again, I'm not awesome. Tongue

The short story is that my favorite legacy family/game is borked so I'm starting the neighborhood fresh but I'm going to attempt to preserve the aforementioned family.
I suck with technology unless I have directions so I'm asking for help or at least a link to a tutorial.
This is what I'm hoping to accomplish:
I'd like to restart my neighborhood (Pleasantview) with my legacy family as least mostly intact.
Question one: If I were to package their lot and then install to the new 'hood, would it still be corrupt? IamMamainred says yes, and she knows more than I do but I'd just like to be sure as my other option is rather tedious.
Question two, three, and four: How do I clone dead sims? I want to keep the ancestors there with their tombstones and all that; is this possible with SimPE? How do I make them ghosts?
Thanks for any and all help. I'm hoping to have this done with by the end of the weekend.
And I know I'm really doing it the hard way but I'm being stubborn and want to keep my family. Tongue

Yeah, I tried to see if waiting it out would work. It didn't. It nearly died from being stuck.
6  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / My dog is sinking into the ground. on: 2008 December 05, 23:24:34
I searched this forum and nothing seems to have worked.
However, I haven't had this problem until after M&G. So I don't know if EAxis broke it or if I did.
Problem is self-explanatory; the dog has sunk into the ground. It's a small breed, if that helps at all.
These are the things I have tried:
Patching my game with the Pets patch (as IamMamainRed suggested). However, it said my game was up to date.
Deleting the dog, saving and exiting the lot, and coming back.
Moving to a different lot entirely.
Giving the dog up for adoption (everyone cried) and adopting it back.
Deleting the community skilling hack. The only other hacks I have are AL fixes and Squinge's No Relationship Decay telephone hack.
Nothing has worked!! I don't have a water-wiggler on the lot; I read that using one of those might interfere.
I need help from someone more awesome than me. Tongue

Wanted to add that I have all the EPs and I have all the SPs except Family Fun and Celebration.

But then all it does is sit straight on the diagonal wall instead of turning itself.
I'll investigate further...Thanks anyways. Tongue

I think the objects don't look really Asian because the designs are supposed to be a mix of Eastern and Western influences.  The clothes give off that same vibe too.
I suppose that would explain the "fusion" part of the name. Tongue
I wish I wasn't so broke. I'd help out.
9  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: EAxis broke the stairs. And possibly the doors. on: 2008 December 02, 23:08:53
Argh, I have tried that! I also do not have moveobjects activated. Or snapobjects.
My game just hates me.
10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Stuff Packs in Houses? on: 2008 December 02, 21:55:42
I think you can also suggest that downloaders use the Clean Pack Installer to install the houses. Or there's that Any Game starter deal at MTS2.
11  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / EAxis broke the stairs. And possibly the doors. on: 2008 December 02, 21:26:18
Since I installed M&G, the modular stairs have gotten awfully picky. You have to delete any and all walls that would surround it above, otherwise it says it can't reserve the space above the stairs. Once the walls are deleted, you can place the stairs and then replace any walls and windows and repaint, which is a pain in the ass.
Also, I can no longer place Maxis doors on diagonal walls. In fact, the little flag that pops up when I try to place them says, "Cannot be placed on a diagonal."
 Angry
Any fixes available or hope for a fix?
12  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Shiftable signs, paintings and photos (AL) UPDATED 2008-11-26 Now with mirrors. on: 2008 December 02, 20:55:00
When positioning wall lights lower on a wall, do they light up properly with this mod? It irks me that I can't have lights that stair-step up with staircases since the ones that are lower are basically just dark blobs. Tongue

The furniture looks vaguely like the Mission stuff that came with OFB.
I don't see much that's too Asian-y about it. Except for the screen-type windows and doors maybe.
