I didn't see stuff out there about TS3 and Snow Leopard when I started this thread. 

Are any Mac users going to upgrade to Snow Leopard?

I narrowed my problem down to three files that relate to toddler training.  Since I took them out, my game has been having quick save times.

I'm seeing the same flat custom hair problem.

iMac: 24"/3.06/4GB/1TB/512/SD/MSE/KB. 
I've got the latest patch for TS3.

At first I was clearing caches, but then noticed that the hair issue would correct itself without clearing the caches.  Quitting to desktop and restarting the game is the fix I've found... hope that will save you some start up time.   

Just another "it worked for me post."  I've got the most current patch, I followed pet_peeve's directions, and the game runs without the launcher.

I've had the same problem with unbelievable save times. 

My issue is with CC, but I'm not sure which file(s) is(are) screwed as I'm still in the process of pinpointing it(them).

By chance, do you have a clean copy of your all-male neighborhood available for sharing?   

They're used as one of the criminal career track uniforms, so it may not be a good idea. 

Use the "dresser" command to fix them.  (dresser simfirstname simlastname) to fix them the way you want them.

I did the same thing--the location, the lot with the home gym, and the hint of gray in his side-burns made him the perfect target.  I was disappointed that Mrs. Wolff didn't come by everyfingday to kick over my garbage can ala TS2. 

I just switched from PC to mac yesterday and this tutorial was invaluable--it only took 2 attempts to get it up and running. 

Semi-related... can any mac people recommend a free 7z, rar, etc. general (de)compression tool? 

That was a fun surprise in TS2 when certain Sims would get naked for the hot tub. 

I had a similar'ish (more minor) "jump bug" with sims trying to eat at a picnic table in a crowded room.  They'd put their plate down and warp to the other side of the table or to the end of the same bench--then they'd have to stand up and try to walk over to where their plate was or they'd cook more food. 

My temp fix was to hand-of-god the food to a different place on the table after the hungry Sim quit mind-controlling it, but I ended up having to make more pedestrian pathing space in the room.



I had this bug too and it sucked.  I was able to fix it by typing "resetsim Incubator Deluxe" where Incubator Deluxe was Sim's name, because just having Incubator targeted and typing resetsim wasn't enough.

My rummaging (and harvesting for that matter) always gets interrupted by them inviting me inside if they're home/awake. 

It sucks when neurotic sims want to brush three times for 100 wish points. 

Didn't Kim Basinger do this in Georgia somewhere?
