The hack is ace, J.M. Ta muchly.
On another note, thank all that's good that you're not one of those males that likes to flirt with the nubile wenchette. It is tasteless, undignified and mortifying to watch. I shudder at the thought.

Diala/Z.Z. - That's true. Many correspondents have died doing their job, and most of them wouldn't have a clue. However, most of the hacks I'm aquainted with are miserable cynical bastards who like nothing more than to get their teeth into some good squalid human misery. And they are very manipulative, as well as being able to put spin on almost anything that comes out of someone's mouth. Not to mention all those lovely high tech editing techniques. But that's not to say that the majority of journo's aren't solid decent people... Also, much as we may dislike this there is a serious flaw in human nature as we all like to dwell on other people's misfortune, and who hasn't rubbernecked? Anyway, I thought the squirrel was amusing, but also knew it would be contentious.

Damn government ruin all the fun! A little bird told me that speed hangovers are quite awful, especially when you take into consideration that it's not just the whiz but the impact of about 18 pints and 40 fags as well.

Indeed. It still worries me that I spend copious amounts of time playing with simulated people instead of trying to have a LIFE of my own. I do believe the "nerdy bird" title I've got at work is, much as I try to shake it off, fair. Oh, that and "smartarse". LOL

lol... what a complete git you are, J.M. I've often found hiding behind a wall is quite productive in ensuring someone else gets the blame for a error, especially if the other person looks guilty (as they often do). And the ready words spring to mind: "Prove it".

Hmmm, so all that stuff about water being necessary for life is junk? Or is it as we all suspect, and J.M. really is an alien sent to spy upon us? Tell you what, though, he's damn right about caffeine and water being a bad mix. You would never get your arse off the bog if you had a system like his.

I remember before the patch came out, family members would "kidnap" babies by deciding to go home but forgetting to put the baby down first. People were panicking all over the BBS, thinking their babies were "gone."
That happened to me a few times. I thought that it was part of the game initially, then realised it was a Maxis blooper. Kidnapping would have made the game quite interesting, if a little dark.

It made me laugh like a drain. But you're both right, it is incredibly sad that someone thinks they can even try to get away with this sort of thing. Don't they realise that all tutors have an instinct for plagiarisms, AND they know all the text books inside out? If you're going to plagiarise make certain it's from an unknown source, so you can at least pass it off. And if you can substantiate, so much the better. That's harder work than writing the goddam essay in the first place.

Well, if Homo Sapiens wasn't so busy outbreeding every other species with the exception of bacterium, then we wouldn't need to build in dangerous areas. Roll on extinction, say I...
As a Brit, I don't feel I have the necessary qualifications to make a comment about America's internal political wrangling, but I do agree that spin and bitching do not help matters in an emergency. Finger pointing is always counterproductive in whatever level of life it is indulged in. Suck it up, for Heaven's sake, and act like responsible adults! There are people dying.

You could try Sudafed (pseudoephedrine). Not if you have any heart ailments, though, as it does increase heart rate, just like its cousin ephedrine.
Sudofed has no effect on me at all...unlike some kids I've seen after a couple of 5mls! Mind you, is it the psuedoephidrine or all that sucrose and colouring doing the job? Maybe in conjunction the three are just simply potent. Oh ok. See, I didn't know that. Very educational! Heh... Nice to know I can make a difference.

Plagiarism is rife, I'm afraid, and not just in academic circles. I do believe that the funniest thing I heard was of an essay (not mine, thank heaven!) returned with one comment: "I believe you have left out the quotation marks". When the student enquired where, the tutor indicated the start of essay and the end. I think they got a fail...

Aspiration always green, dammit! Just can't seem to get all my needs met...
I have never had a sim put a baby in the cot autonomously. They leave 'em lying around the floor and I have to try and find out where. Or I just click on the cot to make 'em do it. Why do we play this game when they are such a pain?

I have pondered on the wisdom of building great blocks of concrete, glass and metal in any area that's known for natural disasters, as it seems to me to be a little counterproductive and a tad blinkered. San Fransisco built on a major fault which WILL blow, it's just a matter of when, for example. You have a house in the middle of hurricane country and you've got to be aware of the hazards. Surely? It's like building on flood plain...Don't!
Oh, and who says there no evidence for global warming?

I like sleep, and the ingestion of caffeine makes me twitch. A lot. So much so that I look like I'm performing some sort of dance and being poked by a cattle prod. Not to mention what it does to my bladder and the accumulation of cellulite that I'm storing for a crisis. However, J.M. does make a good point about assisting other people to sleep, though I would try to use more subtle methods.
