APO stands for? Yeah yeah go ahead make fun of me not following but I've mulled this one over a few days and finally decided to be very unawesome and ask.

It indeed took a lot of luck to get the darn thing going again.

I re-installed every game and it worked fine, I put back in my hoods and sometimes it worked and others not. So I scratched the hoods and regenerated the new ones then deleted them, made one of my own. Put in some of my DL's and again it sometimes worked and didn't. So after taking each backup folder and and putting them in one by one I learned that a lot of my DLed careers, objects and clothes got borked. My hacks were just fine, it was the unhacked stuff that was causing me problems. Since I had way to many clothes and such to sift through I just trashed it all. Same with my objects. I'll be starting over now DLing some clothes and such.

I did want to clean up my DLs so I guess I sure did that! lol. The only things I'm bummed about are two of my families I had to loose, cars, some custom eyes, skins and tables. Otherwise it'll be good to look for new clothes and such as I now know more what I will and will not use in the game as apposed to just taking anything I kinda liked. I'm much pickier which in the end helps keep my DL floder size smaller. lol.

Still don't really know how the files got borked but at least I was able to figure out how to get it working again.

Yes these thoughts have been around forever and I never understood it. It seems it happens as soon as a sims goes in to use the toilet or shower. No matter that half the sims on the lot are fine in those areas or that there are other open bathrooms nope they just plain hate whomever is in the bathroom at the moment. 

I wish we had that more often here. We kinda got it today.. well hmm it snowed in the morning and in a few hours it warmed up and the sun came out to melt it. That's the closet we get to it melting as soon as it hits the ground! Hehe.

Yeah it was already mentioned and you can fix it by stopping auto water balloon fights altogether by using a hack monique  has over at MTS2. Read the following quote from this thread:

Yeah I thought that too, so I'm in the process of doing that right now. Thank you for the idea of going ahead and backing up the neighborhood as I was just going to scratch it but really it won't hurt to give it a try once everything is re-installed. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I never had a snow day and it snowed all the time. We didn't even get to stay home when it was 35 below 0. Yeah those were the fun days. ::grumble::

I wrote that a few days ago and since then I borked it somehow!!

I did as Venusy wrote out (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,7521.msg209543.html#msg209543) to change to the UK English. After I did that I updated some hacks from Pes and Two Jeffs. Then I tried to start my game. Normally it takes with my DL folder about 5 minutes to load the neighborhood chooser which took a bit longer this time. Then I tried to load Veronaville and it went through the loading process but never loaded after 20 minutes so I forced a close program removed my DL's folder and this time I got Veronaville to load but couldn't load one of my families. I forced yet another close program and thought I messed something up with the UK English so I changed everything back. Still the same thing happened so I backed up my neighborhoods and terrain files and uninstalled Seasons. I ran it and loaded it up fixed the settings to how I like them exited and put back in my CC without the hacks, put back my neighborhoods and terrains. I sometimes had a problem loading a family and sometimes I didn't. I hadn't changed or added in any new CC before this (except hacks were not in at this point) and it was working just fine prior to changing the UK English and updating Maty hacks.
Any ideas of what to do now? Should I uninstall everything and start over? If so, do you think I should start over with new neighborhoods? I don't mind starting afresh what I do mind is loosing some of my sims. Do you think it's ok to extract a few of my families and keep them or not?

Uhg why do I constantly bork things!?!  No don't answer that one. Heh.

With you AND Rainbow saying the same thing I'm glad I'm not doing something wrong cause you never know. lol. Ok then since it's not me I want a hack for this cause it's dang annoying having to do plate by plate plus the platter. Uhg. And I also would like the plant talking to time much less then what it is now. 

And Kat thank you for posting the lot debugger because I had the same issue as Rainbow.

Is it just me or do your sims have to put away leftovers one by one?
I had a sim serve food for dinner and their were guests who didn't eat it so I clicked on it to use the leftover option but it seems they have to do it plate by plate or am I missing something here?

Will check out the Lot Debugger though as that temp function will come in handy, Thanks!

I tried out the carnivale lot and I actually had fun with it. I guess I don't so much care that they didn't do it auto as I like it that they don't. But what I found strange was the fact that this lot seemed to down the bladder and hunger more so than the others. Fun and social though were great! I'll have to try my hand at building a new track as well but I liked it a lot. I'll be using the objects a lot more.

Aside from the abnormal hunger and bladder levels I also had a strange camera angle but I think that was a lot thing and I'll test the objects on another new lot to see if it changes anything but that has nothing to do with my overall opinion of the work he did. I loved them.. well minus the clowns because clowns creep me out so I have no idea how they turned out. Hehe. But I'd reccomend them to others!

Now since I haven't looked since Petz came out but when I last looked on how to do a career all I got were "this tut is no longer helpful due to the new SimPE & it's not going to be updated" ect ect. Maybe you'd be willing to help me out cause I still want to do it! hehe.

But on the whole, yes I agree it is hard to track down the needed information. It seems to be to scattered, it wasn't until recently that I fully figured out how to do the simple simple (I only say simple now cause I finally got it) re-coloring of objects. Damn that was hell to follow old tuts that didn't match the new SimPE. But I did it and I was damn happy to figure it out finally. Following two or three old tuts. I also managed not to ask any questions along the way! I'd now be willing to write a tut for it that goes along with the new SimPE. But where would I put it? I like the idea of a wiki thing, or maybe there could be a new forum only for tuts and such.

The thing about all of this is like others have stated some want it handed to them without having to read it fully. Or as Pescado said to many people come into topics they don't even know the basics about and clog up the post with questions not really related making the discussions dwindle to nothing. I personally love reading those discussions about programming or coding, even though I am usually lost the whole time, because I occasionally pick up a tid bit here and there but never add in anything. Although I am one of those who would rather try to figure it out myself given a real starting point, or at least a decent recent tut that actually explains the version of programs I have to use. Where as a lot of people are not like that and just ask and ask instead of trying to re-read or whatever!

Once I figure something out I am more than willing to try and write it out for others to try to learn from so I would actually be interested in helping the cause. However I fear that with new EP's and new versions of SimPE coming out people might lose interest in keeping up to date. And I also fear that since I do not understand SimPE that well I might not be able to update with it but I'd certainly try!

Oh and Pescado I have read on your "SimPE must be destroyed" thread and LOVE the idea of seperate programs(?) for seperate aspects of it. Such as a gameplay altercation, a re-coloring one, ect ect. Because there is a lot in there I will never want to touch or even look at so I'd like it if I could focus on just one section kind of like Bodyshop in a way.
