Looks like a sweet ride to me.  Grin I may have to drive a "mommy vehicle" due to practicality but my simself is going to have this hot car.

No I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for letting us know SaraMK.

has anybody else had leftovers disappear when you try to remove them from the fridge, or is it just me?

I'm having a hard time thinking clearly at the moment (migraine) but I thought leftover problems are due to a CC fridge. Could that be the cause of your problem?
31  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Accurate recipes of Juices and Juice bugs! on: 2007 March 09, 04:21:49
Some of the recipes in the Prima guide appear to be incorrect. I tried 4 lemons to make lemonade and it didn't work. I only had the options to remove the produce or stock more. It actually took 6 lemons to make one serving of lemonade. I haven't tried with the other recipes yet to see how accurate they are. It's not surprising though, the previous Prima guides do have their share of errors. I don't know if it would be an error on the part of the Prima folks or if it's due to the Maxoids making changes afterward.

I've sent you a PM Rho. I hope it helps.  Smiley

I downloaded the updated lot debugger. I'm not finding the option to delete the glitched pregnancy though.  Undecided

So what about those of us who allowed the sim to have the twins before we read this thread? I would say that Cabelle is more tech able than I am.  Do I just play until the game crashes, then uninstall and put back my pre-pets backup?

I'd recommend rolling back to your most recent neighborhood backup now. No sense putting all that work into the neighborhood to just have it explode later on. If you made a backup right before installing Seasons then you've only lost a couple days of work. It's what I would be doing now if I'd played until the twins were born.

Thanks Ness, I'll go give the debugger a try.

So time is of the essence and you have to do something before Sam Ottomas gives birth. What would be the best (and easiest for the technologically challenged) program for deleting/aborting Sam Ottomas' messed up pregnancy? I'm not familiar with Insiminator and I haven't used SimPE for a pregnancy. I wish there was a simple "Miscarry the demon spawn" hack.

Or would it be better to kill her off before the twins are born? Would I need to keep her tombstone somewhere or can I delete it?
37  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Ottomas family in Seasons - normal brokenness and more brokenness on: 2007 March 03, 10:33:33
I dunno. I was tempted to wait until Insiminator or SimPE is updated but from what JM said about them being irreversibly corrupt I'm not sure if I want to try. I'm definitely not awesome enough to repair character files. I wouldn't even begin to know how to use the rollback or blank template techniques. I'd also hate to find that there was something else FUBARed with the Ottomas. I'm finding myself leaning toward a tragic family death. They could be the first residents of my Riverblossom Hills Cemetery.  Grin

This is basically an unresolveable problem. What happens is that when the game crude-splices this family into your neighborhood, it doesn't correct the token data. Therefore, while in the template hood, the pregnancy token contained the correct NID, when they're added to your neighborhood, they get new NIDs. As a result, the NID of the father from the old neighborhood now belongs to an arbitrary sim instead.

They're basically irreversibly corrupt, and you should use either the rollback technique or blank templates.

Well, if you wanna get them from EA site, the code for threllis is:

AXSEAYUR

Ok, now I'm confused. The codes for the trellis are all the same?  Shocked How's this supposed to work with the "code can only be used 3 times" rule? I'm assuming the codes are the same for the other objects as well.
39  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Odd things I noticed about Seasons on: 2007 March 02, 19:22:16
I noticed a very odd problem with the Ottomas family (from the bin).  The mother Samantha was already pregnant and gave birth to twins.  They're not related to their father.  Their "father" is Patricia Wan (O'Mackey -- she married Gabe), who Samantha has not even met.  Shocked   While amusing, it seems to be a serious glitch, possibly a VBT.

On the BBS people have been posting that the 'father' of Sam's babies have been Ariel - a dog!

Oh crud! I just finished playing the Ottomas up to about 4 hours before Sam's due to give birth to those twins. I do not want a screwed up family tree!  Angry I should be able to use SimPE (once it's updated) to get rid of this screwed up pregnancy, then get her pregnant again by her husband to correct the problem right?

That's good to know. I think I'll go ahead and put my files back in. As long as it doesn't affect the new clothes I'm happy.
41  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Clothing equality mod - adult clothes for elders, buyable maternity and work on: 2007 March 02, 07:25:44
Does this work ok with Seasons? I'm no where near awesome so I wasn't sure if this would conflict with the new outerwear feature or not.  Undecided

I have seen numerous posts on the BBS that the download codes aren't working right now. I'm so surprised. Roll Eyes The only thing I can think of is that the downloads aren't activated yet. Barring any problems I'll be getting Seasons from Target tomorrow. With the lovely garden trellis.  Wink

Last night I noticed a link on a BBS post to this Life Stories guide- http://guides.gamepressure.com/thesimslifestories/guide.asp?ID=2205 Glancing at the different chapters it does look like it could be helpful. I don't know for sure since I don't have the game. Hopefully there's something in there to help you Scratch.
44  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Maxis/EA update re nVidia & Pets incompatibility on: 2007 February 05, 08:42:36
When it does the reboot Windows error says that the problem was due to the "device driver" forcing Windows to shut down. I'm using the drivers from November.

I had almost the same problem and the same error message and it turned out that it wasn't the graphics drivers as it was reporting. I know because even after I did a complete format of my hard disk and installed windows from scratch, I got the same error first time I loaded windows, before I installed any drivers. It was about faulty RAM installation (as far as I can remember).

Thanks Blubug I'll make sure to look into that.  Smiley

So we'll have to say goodbye to the fish until they get this worked out? That's a shame. I hope they're finally able to get the problems taken care of. I upgraded to a Nvidia Geforce 7600 because I wasn't sure which ATI I should get that would be the equivalent. It was disappointing to still experience occasional crashes and reboots.  Sad

Which 7600? GS or GT? And AGP or PCI-Express?  I've been playing a 7600 GS AGP and have no had a crash or any other sort of problem, and I probably play 2-3 hours a day at least.

I have the same card you have, 7600 GS AGP. Admittedly my problems are not really bad, it will tend to happen during my marathon playing sessions of 4+ hours.  Embarrassed Or if I web surf for an hour or so before I start playing. If I turn of the computer and give it a 20 minute break before I begin playing and then another 20 minute break every 2-3 hours of gameplay I don't have the problems. When it does the reboot Windows error says that the problem was due to the "device driver" forcing Windows to shut down. I'm using the drivers from November.

How about you go first ThyGuy? Can we smear lamp oil on your head, set you on fire and watch you run around screaming in agony?

As someone who's seen all too often animals subjected to abuse such as you describe I fail to find what you say humorous at all. I find it sick and disturbing.

I'm suddenly reminded of how sim toddlers will eat the pet food when given the chance. I really wish I hadn't remembered that right now.  Lips sealed

50  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Unable to send pet grave to cemetery on: 2006 December 31, 06:26:59
I've been having the tombstone problem again since Pets. Luckily it didn't disappear for good when I sent a sim to the cemetery to retrieve the tombstone. For now I've designated a former townie as the owner of all the cemetery lots (one per hood and each sub-hood). It's really interesting how it's working for me now. I first sent the family member of the deceased sim or pet to place the tombstone at the cemetery lot then I sent the sim back home and saved the game. Next I had the owner go to the cemetery to place the tombstones again because I assumed they would now be by the payphone. When I sent the owner to the cemetery the tombstones were exactly where I had the family member place them.  Shocked
