I saw one where someone appeared three times in the family tree!

Yeah, I fixed that one with good ol' Simpe.  I-forget-what-her-name-was somehow got linked as the child of her child and the parent of her parent.  I wonder if they don't staff the testing crew well enough to evaluate every aspect of the game.  A simple family tree check could have found this problem, look how easily it was found by us.  They just didn't look. Undecided

I have this genuine hope that all the good programmers have gone on to number 3, and we're just left with this. I really don't want to have to deal with any of 2's borkiness plus more in the Sims 3. Maybe I'm being idealistic - frack knows that it's all we can hope for.

Between this, and the borked shadows, I wonder if their object makers are always getting drunk? In fact, I bet everyone there is always drunk! Have you seen some of the family trees for the new families in Apartment Life? I saw one where someone appeared three times in the family tree! Cheat happy much? Also, what about the glitches! They must be ripping out code everywhere!

Oh dear, the family trees... *falls on floor laughing*

I swear I saw one that was a GRID. A bloody GRID. I don't even want to fathom how that happened.

The Apartment Life "Gearhead" social group clutter.

Dear God, I wish I was kidding. Freaking paper wrenches.

I personally love the Macro...Pay Bills text. Something about seeing my Sims "Render Unto Caesar" tickles me. C:

That glitch sounds... quite fun, actually. Take a video, I wanna see this  Grin

If people are swarming an item, I usually just Autonomy Control...Proscription it. It a LOT of problems, especially with the freaking nannies.

I know that this is probably a stupid answer, but it's affected more than a few intelligent people I know: When the camera is even remotely close to a ceiling lamp, a staircase or an outdoor tree, it will go semitransparent and be unclickable. This is probably to assist in navigation and clickspace in live mode, but it can be a pain if you're building. Usually, you can just zoom out and it becomes clickable. I first noticed this when I couldn't Turn On...All Lights on my ceiling lamps. Stairs and trees seem to act the same way.

It's in the download instructions.  HP mentions that they're still married, and that Bella is still alive.

O RLY?

How did I miss that? Wow, I guess Dina's not just a gold digger, she's a slut, too.

As if we didn't know that.

Ah, that makes sense. When playing with Age-Ups and Age-Downs, I had noticed that one of my Sims didn't have an aspiration icon. I suppose that I forgot to fix it. That would totally be an awesome aspiration for an evil overlord of some kind.

Wants: See the ghost of [someone else at the top level of my job]

Fears: Move in with parents

I was playing my 'hood today and I decided to do a bit of census work to see how much Apartment Life clogged the drain with townies. I decided I'd do an aspiration check, since I had the urge, and I got something VERY interesting - Apparently, there is a sim in my neighbourhood with the "Power" aspiration! Can anyone explain to me what in the dickens this is? I'll provide a screenshot next time I go on.

If it helps, I have been doing quite a bit of age-manipulation - perhaps a remnant of teen+ who happen to accidentally still have "Grow Up"? In any case, it's awesome.

Not that this is much help, but I believe most of the scare factor behind testingcheats is that when you get a Jump Bug, it actually gives you options and writes a log and stuff like that. Most people see the Cancel/Reset/Delete window, and probably think OH GOD I'VE MESSED IT UP JESUS DELIVER MY IMMORTAL SOUL FROM THIS ACCURSED PLACE or something. I'm not religious, so I dunno about that kind of stuff.

It could also be caused by a few people dicking about with the Tombstone of Life and Death and such, or perhaps making all family members unselectable - Sometimes it's fun to tell unsuspecting friends about this cheat and watch as they spaz when they realize they just gave their sim Zits. Then tell them to try "Force Error" and watch all hell break loose.

I had something like this happen - Afraid of borking my 'hood for one reason or another, I decided to play Pleasantview for a while. I'd downloaded HP's Megahood, so it had every single premade 'hood set as business districts. I was playing as the Calientes, for a nice little blast of sluttiness, and Mortimer asked her on an outing downtown. Sure, I thought, she could use a daughter. So, I went. What could go wrong? Mortimer gets out, Dina gets out, then one last person.

Bella.

BELLA FREAKING GOTH.

I thought to myself, Okay, it's probably the Strangetown Bella. Just a coincidence. Except that when Dina kissed him, Bella inferred this as cheating! Anyone have any clue how she ended up alive again?

(I've got a sneaking suspicion that this was just a cheeky little joke on HP's part.)
