51  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Variable Crashes on: 2009 December 08, 21:10:18
I guess I know what Santa is getting me for Christmas heh.

I'm curious to know. My desktop runs Windows XP which can only be maxed out at 4GB of ram and that apparently isn't enough for TS3? What a mess.
52  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Event Notifiers on: 2009 December 07, 18:45:27
Okay. That's really weird, I will try the new version later today haven't gotten a chance to load up yet. Will try to get some sims pregnant. Since installing WA the entire game has been very bugged and slow, it might just be a lack of RAM or voodoo as you say.
53  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Definitive "bad base" list on: 2009 December 06, 19:42:26
I don't think the final output (.package file or .sim3pack) is to blame. I have extracted most of my store items as .package placed them in mods folder, not causing any blue lots.

Some people have complained about bluelotting with TSRW made objects, but this could be because they have attempted to reuse an object already badly renumbered in s3oc.
Some TSR creators copy/modify things other creators have made, so I don't think anyone should assume a TSRW stamped download is safe by default until more is known about this problem.
54  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Event Notifiers on: 2009 December 06, 19:21:35
Would be great if you could upload a savefile, in which I can definitely reproduce this - e.g. directly prior to entering build mode

Well I mostly build lots before moving in sims, and was on a blank lot in edit town mode. I did not attempt to try editing with the mod on the active family lot. Sending you a PM.
55  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Event Notifiers on: 2009 December 06, 09:55:12
I had to take out the Birth event notifier. It caused my game to freeze (endless loading circle) several times when exiting build mode, removed it and the problem was fixed.
56  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Multiple Problems with Teens on: 2009 December 06, 01:54:36
Not sure about your first problem but the second one with the boyfriend, seems like he probably has the mooch trait I'm guessing? Maybe remove the trait from him, or get the girlfriend's father angry enough to yell at him so he gets out  Cheesy
57  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2009 December 05, 14:38:11
Is there a version of Awesomemod that won't expire and that will still work with only version 1.4.6 of the game?

No, no and also no.
58  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 December 04, 10:24:10
I know people have tried getting rid of their cc and it has not made those lots come back, but has anyone tried making a note of the lot containing the bad cc and somehow deleting or bulldozing that, and see if the other lots come back?   They may have been sitting there safely on disk and simply unable to load.

I thought of bulldozing the blue lot, but it did not allow that option any longer. It did not have ANY options actually :/ It is like you said too though, once the corrupted lot loads, the rest halt and become blue as well. None of my community lots were ever blue lots, only the residential.

Therefor, by not saving, you can avoid blowing up the new save game. I haven't tried loading any of my old saves yet, since I want to make sure the game is stable enpugh for them not to break.

If you had an old save pre-patch it will load up fine again with the removed downloaded content. The exception is if the hood was using AM at all, I found that any of my old saved games that used AM prior to the 1.7 patch was FUBAR. After a little while of playing with the new AM (never had loaded the save without some version of AM running) with only EA store content, the hood turned blue lots and some irreversible other borked things happened (sims floating by their house, error messages). So if you have an AM save that is still loading for you at this point, I recommend saving any sims to bin that you care for using editsim just incase things get bad soon. YMMV
59  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Be Careful Discussing Awesomemod! on: 2009 December 03, 09:40:28
MTS has been known to have silly rules, that doesn't stay consistent with their moderators all the time either. You should be careful what you say online, but I don't see how this is one. They have their own rules, just don't post there anymore if it bothers. Also why did you even post this in AM section?
60  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: EA Store stuff converted to package files? on: 2009 December 03, 09:27:06
3: Use Echo's Postal Viewer to look at the files you extracted and find out what they are.  Re-name them one at a time.

For the single objects not in Sets 3Viewer can rename them prior to extracting:
Click the packed files tab > Select the item in the box to the left > Type the new name you want (ex: sillychair.package. Best thing is to just copy/paste the display name or original filename) > Make sure to click the "Rename" button, or your changes won't stick. The name will change in the box to the left if you renamed it correctly. Now click the install button.
61  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Slight Bed Problem on: 2009 December 02, 13:47:26
Are you using AM? Did you try a reset sim?  Enter ''resetsim firstname lastname'' (without quotes) in the cheat console.
62  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Active Sims are double on: 2009 December 02, 13:44:03
Because I realize you are ESL, and tried to write this request in a decent attempt I want to try to help you.

First, are you using Awesomemod? It would fix most of your problems by preventing duplicate sims. The SuperComputer isn't made/supported from this website I'm not quite sure what it may have done.

Now I´ve had invited her, bet her to move in, take her out over the neightbourhood and deleted her out of the clipboard.

When you move a sim out and they release to clipboard I am pretty sure their relationship status is reset with the world. Is it like she was just created in CAS now? I don't think you can repair the family tree relationships without some mod after that.
63  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: a bit of patch help for newbs on mac on: 2009 December 02, 07:53:20
(I also have to wonder how they open anything with winrar when winrar does not exist for OS X.)

http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/system_disk_utilities/betterzip.html

But it's not called winrar yeah.  Maybe they're running the game with windows installed on a mac, but that would make less sense.  Undecided
64  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 December 02, 07:47:59
Hey Nanacake, did you perchance use a pre-WA (and patch of death) save to get the blue lots? If so, it would match my experience (posted it a couple of pages back).

Yes, it was an old save, which immediately upon first loading had used Save As and given it a new name. That save lasted a week before viewing blue lots. I had just updated AM when the blue lots appeared. Then my new save made right after I deleted the broken one became blue lots too. I'm on my third save now, I'm kind of expecting this current one to load blue lots when I open up next.

If you're having lagging problems, it's most likely due to certain .packages rather than all of them. Assuming that your computer was able to run the same amount of CC fine prior to WA, that is.

I did install most of the store items to my mods framework folder as .package instead of letting 3viewer install it to the default directories. It can become laggy moving the camera around. From desktop to neighborhood view takes about 4 minutes to startup. Saving takes about 1 minute and 30 seconds to up to 3 minutes if I haven't saved recently.
65  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 December 01, 13:21:17
You use the phrase "custom store content"

I meant just EA's store items. I considered it as custom even though it is created by EA because it has to be installed separately. I also feel like there's more of a possibility (of blue lots) with any downloaded content because they use up more memory. My theory is it could be a lack of RAM/a memory leak, failure to load the lots, then the save becomes corrupted. I ended up starting a new neighborhood.
66  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: No CD check not working on: 2009 December 01, 04:21:40
nanacake: the people above you are talking about OS X. OS X thinks .exe is some kind of garbled text file, so doubleclicking on one does nothing useful.

I know but I thought it would be the same as TS2 was on the mac? All the files usually for applications are inside the package contents, usually if it's just a emulator encased around the same windows installation files. Wish it wasn't that way though if companies stop porting games for mac and actually spend a little bit developing it for OS X they would run better.
67  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: No CD check not working on: 2009 November 30, 13:33:53
That's one way to make sure you never open the launcher, but you could also have found TS3.exe inside of the package contents -cmd click make alias and move that alias shortcut to the desktop replacing the old one.
68  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Moving teens only into house? on: 2009 November 30, 10:08:48
Yes I removed everything (this includes AwesomeMod)

If you remove AM I believe default EA code will only let you move a teen with her parents into a home. Try removing all cc except AM. Are you using a config file for AM? Enter showconfig in the cheat console once you go in-game to make sure all the proper settings took to your config.
69  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: 90% of Sunset Valley lots gone after returning from vacation. on: 2009 November 30, 09:31:28
I had not experienced any blue lots using store custom content only and WA. Just opened my game now to find most residential lots are blue. The last two residential lots I had edited before my last save and quit -were visible, unoccupied and can edit them found everything intact. They both had custom store content. So I want to know is anyone having the blue lots on a lot that is not an occupied residential lot? All my community lots and empty ones still remain visible.

Can not think of what I have done differently, only thing I did was update Awesomemod 6 hours ago.  There is a .sims3 folder of the save, as well as a .sims3.backup folder. I will try deleting the backup one and see what happens.

EDIT: No that did not do anything.
70  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: I've just installed the Sims World Adventures and on: 2009 November 29, 14:31:02
You don't have to delete all of your CC.

To remove CC it doesn't mean DELETE forever. Move it to your desktop. It's a good idea to place CC completely out, to see if the problem exists because of it. Disabling CC from the launcher or whatever options it might have won't work for things in mods folder only installed with the launcher. Clear cache files before loading up and start a new hood. Your old hood/sims might be corrupt if you used a incompatible mod with a pre WA save.
71  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: ZOMG!, New Body Sliders (Breast, Hip, Waist, Butt, Head and Shoulder Size) on: 2009 November 28, 09:56:47
If someone volunteers, I can ask Delphy permission to update his facial sliders from here:

http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=344369

But, as I said, I need volunteers first

Volunteers to do what? Does he only accept updating his creations if a petition is signed by 20 people below your private message request?
72  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sim France Crashing During Loading Screen - but not Egypt or China on: 2009 November 28, 09:52:51
Did you modify France and possibly put any custom objects saved in it?
73  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: WA outside lighting issue on: 2009 November 26, 18:29:48
Since installing WA, the lighting outside and inside has had issues. Outside everything seems to be glowing neon within the bloom effect. Some windows are very messed up now. Here is an example of these base game windows not allowing daylight in the room.

It's too dark along the walls, and the wall against these WA windows are placed stays very dark. Even after adding lamps.

74  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Beta Testing 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 Problems/Questions/Discussion on: 2009 November 25, 10:14:54
Another bug to report:
Been receiving errors in the display hover text for buy items and wishes. Long number titles and full directory listings show in the descriptions. Seems to not effect gameplay: all items can be placed/recolored/used, wishes can be fulfilled. Does not occur with everything related to WA either as seen in the first picture. Though most items from WA in the catalog displayed this problem, not all of them did as in picture 2 below, another WA plant was fine. Also wanted to note, I've seen this problem when Riverview needed to be reinstalled because it had been removed or corrupted.

75  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Beta Testing 1.7.9/WA 2.2.8 Problems/Questions/Discussion on: 2009 November 24, 17:12:45
Running WA fully patched with no CC other than Awesome (and no config file). Only problems I have had thus far:

Delivering relics - The quest givers do not respond to my queue to deliver the relic. They remain stuck in front of their home lot. I commanded a resetsim on their persons though and this fixes the problem temporarily.

No sims to be found in public vacation areas - NoCommunitystalkerswarm is false in setconfig, so where is everyone? Is there just not very many people in the towns?
